Chapter 67 - Denial

When someone looked that similar, it was likely that they were from the same family, and Yu Huiyin resembled Han Yunfeng so much that it was only natural to think that they were mother and daughter.

Yu Bingqing looked at Yu Huiyin, narrowing her eyes and quickly dispelling the thought again.

Although a voice in the back of her mind was constantly screaming at her, telling her that this woman was Yu Huiyin, she did not believe it, as Yu Huiyin was a poor and undesirable woman. She could not possibly be the attractive woman that Xie Jingyu was so protective of.

It was said that every person had a doppelganger in this world. Maybe this woman just happened to be Han Yunfeng's doppelganger.

But because this woman was so similar to Han Yunfeng, it was impossible for Yu Bingqing to like her. Yu Jingshen was feeling rather complicated, as well.

The reason he was married to Han Yunfeng was because he actually loved her once upon a time. However, his greed and ambition were too overwhelming. He could not control it, so he found Xiao Hualing, and made her fall for him.

He did not like Xiao Hualing, but he liked her background and family. Xiao Hualing came from an affluent family with assets worth around a billion yuan.

She was the only daughter. Hence, all the family's wealth would be hers one day.

Han Yunfeng was not wealthy. She came from a poor background, but she was kind and attractive. She had many suitors, but she had fallen for Yu Jingshen in the end.

Yu Huiyin knew that her mother died because of her father. Although she felt agitated and hateful, her mother had always said that she never regretted her choices in life. Without Yu Jingshen, she would not have had Yu Huiyin and Yu Feihong. Those two had made all her suffering worth it.

Such words always made both Yu Huiyin and Yu Feihong tear up, and they felt immensely loved. Han Yunfeng was truly important to them, not only because of the love she showed them, but also because of how strong-minded she was, even at the end of her life.

But because of her keen mind and her unyielding love for her two children, Yu Huiyin hated her father even more. She also hated Xiao Hualing and their children.

It was because of them, that her mother had suffered as badly as she did; it was they who had destroyed her happiness.

Yu Huiyin pretended that she did not know Yu Jingshen and Yu Bingqing. She did not look at them, nor did she pay them any attention. She was fully focused on the director of the daughter company, with whom she had a lot of things to discuss, many of which she did not have a full grasp or understanding of.

Many of the movie directors came to their table in order to pitch their stories. Some were also trying to converse with Xie Jingyu, but he just smiled and greeted politely, never engaging in the conversation.

As the evening progressed, many of the women, wives, and daughters, headed over to Yu Huiyin's side. By then, Yu Jingshen and Yu Bingqing had left the gathering, knowing that they were just inviting mockery by staying.

"Miss, what should we call you?" one of the ladies asked politely.

"My family name is Yu," Yu Huiyin said with a smile and a nod of her head.

"Miss Yu, I feel that we have much in common, why don't we go shopping one day together?" one of the middle-aged women asked, and Yu Huiyin had a hard time not making a weird expression on her face.

The woman was old enough to be her mother, but she wanted them to shop together? That was a little amusing. Not to mention, she only knew that her family name was Yu, from where did she suddenly conjure that they had much in common?

The other women also looked somewhat surprised by what the middle aged woman had said, but it was not before half of them had expressed their goodwill that another woman appeared.

By now, seeing that women had surrounded Yu Huiyin, Xie Jingyu excused himself for a short while. He had to discuss business with a special guest that had arrived that day to meet him.

The other ladies also all assured him that they would take good care of Yu Huiyin and smiled at him, looking immensely amiable.

"Miss Yu, I wonder what your relationship with Young Master Xie is?"

The woman who asked the question was young. She was an actress, but unlike most, she did not need to worry about resources. Her father was the CEO of the most influential company in the entertainment industry.

She had all the resources she could dream of, and could pick and choose between the various roles as she wished.

She had initially not planned on participating in this evening gathering, but upon hearing that Xie Jingyu was coming, she changed her opinion.

Now, she was upset because he had a female companion with him, which was also very attractive. She was further aggravated when hearing that Yu Huiyin was opening an agency.

This woman was looking down upon the actresses and subtly hinting that she wanted to be above them, or else, what was her reason for opening an agency instead of becoming an actress?

"This, I don't think I have to explain our relationship to you?" Yu Huiyin c.o.c.ked her head to the side.

"Are you trying to use the fact that he has picked you to open a new daughter company for him to claim that you have a relationship with him? How shameless do you have to be! Young Master Xie is much nobler than you will ever understand, so why don't you understand your place and acknowledge that there is nothing between you?"
