Chapter 230: Dimi’s Return

After exchanging conversations like such for a while, the speed of the children eating the food became noticeably slower. The kids who ate until they became full soon had an expression of drowsiness on their faces. Rihannan wrapped up the remaining food that was left and handed it to them.

“Take these and share them with your families.”

“Thank you!”

Their voices were much louder than before, perhaps since their stomach was now plentiful. Rihannan giggled lightly as she heard the buzz of their loud voices in her ear. At that moment, the young girl suddenly handed something to Rihannan. It was a folded up small paper.

“What is this?”

“Well actually, some man told me to bring this to you a moment ago, sister.”

“A man?”

“Yes. We were waiting for a chance to be able to hand this to you.”

Was that why they were waiting nearby staring at her to find a chance to get close? Rihannan tilted her head in curiosity and opened up the paper. She couldn’t even guess who could be sending her a paper message like this.

Ria loves plump rabbit b*tt. But the tastiest thing in the world is rabbit meat. Yum yum. Oh, how delicious.

Rihannan let out a small gasp. This handwritten note written as if by a small child having a prank was something Rihannan recognized from before. The song that Dimitris sang to make fun of Rihannan when she was young was written on the note.

“Who is the person that wrote this note?”

“Down over there.” The child pointed down at the waterside.

“Have you seen their face?”

The child nodded her head. “It was a person with bright hair color like you, sister. They were tall as well.”

Overwhelming joy came over to Rihannan’s face. It meant that Dimi was here. She didn’t understand why he wanted to meet her in this way, but Dima was always very playful since the beginning. Perhaps he is setting up a surprise meet up in anticipation for her soon approaching birthday.

Rihannan was about to immediately set off to the waterside, but stopped herself and checked where the soldiers are located. Most of the soldiers were still in process of cleaning up the wooden logs, while the rest are surveying the surroundings to make sure no one suspicious comes by.

Dimi hadn’t officially announced that he came to Arundel at all, and nothing good will come from telling everyone he did either. On top of that, he came to her setting this meet up in the most secret way possible, so it would be better for her to hear what he has to say in private first.

“Children.”

The children who were all busy organizing and wrapping up bundles of food all turned their eyes towards Rihannan. Rihannan smiled quietly.

“Could you all help me out a bit?”

Blade and blade clashed in a loud clanging sound. A long time had passed since they had a match together like this, but both sides didn’t plan to move aside at all. Basil was barely able to parry Igor’s numerous attacks, and now was narrowly dodging erratic sword stabs that Igor was making. He couldn’t help but gasp in admiration during the fight.

For some strange reason, at some point in time whenever Igor had a match with Basil, Igor’s swordsmanship showed signs of unrefinement. Opposing the usual beautiful and elegant style of swordsmanship that people of high class and status learns, Igor’s swordsmanship style was closer to a barbaric and rough style of attacking that was more commonlya*sociated with soldiers that already had spent several years fighting in a battlefield.

“Have you been going outside of the palace without telling me or something? Just where did you learn this kind of thing from?”

Just as he finished speaking, Igor’s sharp sword rushed just past Basil’s top of the head, making Basil shut his mouth up completely right away. If he keeps blabbering here, he’ll end up dying.

It wasn’t an overstatement to say that Basil had spent every moment together with Igor at this point. Whatever Igor did, Basil was always by his side. To the point where Basil may know more things about Igor than Igor’s wife does. However, he couldn’t help but become surprised whenever a surprisingly unique side of Igor comes out that Basil had never noticed before comes out.

Those kinds of situations had been even more noticeable lately. After Igor threatened Duke Olbach and his wife, Basil had to think very seriously whether a fox had disguised itself to look like Igor and had been acting instead for him. It was because considering the Igor that he knew of his whole life, he would never do such a thing.

Clang!
