Chapter 152 - You'll Be Starting A New Life

The day Raymond went missing, New York City.

"Graham, take this file and email me the summarize. Anything that needs to be signed by me, you better give me now. I'll be leaving in ten minutes. My 'girl' is waiting for me." He said and give the black leather file to the man before he sits on his chair.

He then sorts everything on his table and cleans up the mess for a bit before Graham returns back to his office and bring him a stack of paper that needs to be signed by him.

He was startled a bit and look at the man with an unbelievable face. "Seriously? I can't make it in ten." He grunting and still signing the paper as fast as he can.

"You sure you've already checked everything in this document?" He asked coldly and Graham nods his head, assuring him that everything on his table right now has been check and revise by him and his team. No error was found as it already filters for the tenth time.

"Yes, sir."

Raymond did not ask the man again as he then still keeping up with his speed to sign all of those papers. Ten minutes turn to twenty minutes and he finally finished it.

He put down the pen and glared at his secretary. "If my 'girl' mad at me, you gonna pay for it."

Graham lowered his head. He's hoping that whoever his girl that he referring to will not mad at him for making him late for ten minutes. Otherwise, he might get kick out from this office where he could earn a satisfying salary per month.

When Graham following him out of the office, he saw a group of people who attracting all the employees to look at the hallway.

Raymond stops his pace and looked at his watch. Grunting a bit. "Come on..what now.."

Graham immediately took another way to his office and leave Raymond with his family.

"What's this?" Raymond asked his father who came to his office with at least five bodyguards and his mother and Sarah too?

"Son, we have to talk," James said one word and that's all to make the five bodyguards hold both of Raymond's hand. But he was faster when he shoves all of them from touching him.

To not make a scene, James gesture Raymond to follow him going to his private elevator. Going down to the basement parking lot.

"Do you mind telling me, what is this? I'm not your prisoner." Raymond glared at his father coldly. Barbara and Sarah keep silent at the sides.

"We'll be going somewhere." James only replies to him with one sentence and he frowned after that.

"Can we do it next time? I had important things to do."

Scoffed, James said again, "What could be more important than saving your life?"

Raymond's mouth gape open and he looks at his father with questioning face. "How..how did you-"

"You think I wouldn't know about your condition? You should be thankful that your sister is studying in the medical field."

Ding!

The elevator door opens and the black limousin already waiting for them.

"Father, listen...I don't think I want to risk my life by going to another surgery." Raymond tries to make his father understand, unfortunately, his bodyguard already ready with a sedative on their hands.

With a glance from Mr. James, one of the bodyguards injecting Raymond with the sedative from behind. Which then Raymond was so surprised by how scheming his father.

"I'm sorry son, you don't have a choice. And when you wake up again, you'll be starting a new life." James said which is blurred to Raymond's mind before he starts collapsing.

….

A month later, April 2014.

"Charles, did you get any word from the main house?" Luna asks him for hundredth times already.

Shakes his head, he says, "They told us the same reason. Mr. Raymond now is resting in the main mansion and will not be coming home any time soon."

Luna pressed her lips together. "Did they give you his contact information so that I can call him?" hoping that there's good news today.

"I'm sorry Luna." He lowered his head. Luna stands up and leaves the living hall afterward.

She doesn't know why but all of her trainers never come again and even her credit card has been blocked. She only left with the money that she earns from working and the money she got when she married Raymond.

She never uses that money even one cent and now she had to use it to buy her daily food and even paying for the bills. She knows Mr. Carson probably didn't get any salary after all of this happen and so with the two of the maids who remain with her in this mansion.

They were an old couple who already worked in here for a long time even before Raymond bought this house and rebuilt it with a new one.

"What happens to you, Raymond..why you leave me like this?" She keeps asking herself while still waiting for him to come home. She doesn't know why, but she keeps feeling uneasy these past months.

Ever since he says he will return to New York, she keeps feeling uneasy. Furthermore, she was unable to contact Victoria and Liam are currently in Abu Dhabi for business matter with Sabrina for months too.

To contact aunt Lara? She doesn't want to trouble her with her own problem. What if, Raymond was fine and he was avoiding her on his own accord?

What if, he is having a second thought? Too many 'what if' lingering in her mind right now. She wants to believe that he will keep his promises and she wants to believe that he will..definitely love her back, but sometimes, it was hard for her to believe it.

It's hard to believe him if the person is not in front of her now. Being separate like this…only make her miserable and turn her into a weak person. She keeps and always crying for no reason.

'Maybe, Dr. Fang know something?' Luna nibbles on her fingernails and looks around her anxiously.

'But, where do I find him? He went missing just like that. Everyone else..I don't know how to find them. Who can help me?'

Knock knock!

"Luna…it's time for dinner." Mr. Carson calls her name after a whole day she's been hole up in the room.

"Leave it there, Charles. Thank you." She shouts from inside the room. Without anyone knowing, she has been depressed with Raymond's whereabouts.
