Chapter 151 - Raymond Went Missing

Today Luna's last day of working at the clinic, she took Raymond's advice and he hired a private lecturer for her to get ready with a mock exam. When he saw Luna returned home early tonight, he wants to invite her to have dinner at the terrace garden.

It's been a while since they have dinner together. He also needs to tell her something.

"Luna," Raymond calls her name from the staircase and walks to the girl who suddenly turns her body around to him.

"Hey.." She kissed him on the lips before he takes off Luna's sling bag and gives it to Mr. Carson. "Take this." He said and led Luna to the terrace garden.

She frowned a bit when suddenly Raymond bring her there and upon seeing the table with a candle on top of it, she chuckles and hugs him for a moment.

"Wow..you can be romantic too."

"Is that a compliment?" He lifts his eyebrow to her and pulls the chair for her before he shifting to his chair, opposite her.

"So…is there something special tonight?" She giggles while looking at all of her favorite food. 'Oh hooray! Tentacles!'

"Why you look more happy to see that tentacles rather than me?" Raymond asked, feeling a bit jealous of the tentacles when Luna couldn't stop grinning at the food.

"Oh, did I?" She unconsciously wipes her corner of the mouth with the thought she was drooling. That's only irked Raymond more.

He then shakes his head and took out a small size leather box. "Here." He shoves the box to her which then her eyes turn sparkling.

"Ooh…is it what I'm thinking it is?" Her finger dances happily and couldn't wait to open the box.

Now Raymond feels guilty seeing her priceless expression will soon turn into a frown. She then looks at the man with a lot of questions in her mind.

"What's this?" She lifts the keys from the box. A bit disappointed to see it. She thought it will be a ring or any jewelry that can be symbolized as their special relationship. But she was totally wrong.

"That's..my apartment keys. And another one is my cabin house's key." He replies it short and averts his eyes from looking at her gloomy face.

"Oh? Why did you give me this?" She put the key back into a box and put it aside. Try to not feel so sad about it. 'It just a small matter..'

"I want you to have it. I will be going to New York in two days because I have an urgent meeting, so maybe after that, we can go to Atlanta Aquarium? What do you say? I already book for a hotel that we'll be staying in for a few days." That is exactly his surprise for her but she turns more gloomy than before.

"What's wrong? You don't wanna go?" He asked again when Luna somehow look unhappy.

"Um…do you have to go to New York?" She asked with a low voice. Afraid that she'll be labeled as clingy to him.

Chuckles, he sips his drink after that. "I have to. It's not that I want to. But..don't worry, it won't long."

"Hmm…will you.." She glances at him before averting her eyes to the food which she feels is no longer attractive.

"In contact with Sarah?" He takes a guess and Luna nod her head. Again, he chuckles and shakes his head. "No, Luna. You don't believe me?"

"I do...I just…uncertain she will let you go or maybe she'll use any reason for you two to meet? She was crazy about you, because of something….something I don't know."

Raymond could only disagree with her statement. "I don't think so, Luna. She's not crazy into me and I…I'm not into her anymore." he spoons his macaroni on his plate and eats it.

Luna also cut the tentacles and chew it before she looks at him, "And you also..still not love me yet."

"But that doesn't mean I'm not into you."

Luna swallows hard and continues to eat the dinner without saying anything else. 'It's okay Luna…he'll keep his promise.'

….

The day they're supposedly date in Aquarium.

Mr. Carson drives from Beaufort to Atlanta around four hours straight since morning and arrives at noon.

They both waiting at the entrance of the Aquarium for about three hours before Luna finally took out her phone and start dialing Raymond's number.

The last text he sends her is when he told her to wait for him at the Aquarium today. She has been calling him several times but his phone was off.

She then looked at Mr. Carson with anxious. "Could you try to call someone in New York if they've seen him?"

Mr. Carson nodded and start dialing a series of a number who he knows would probably know where's Raymond has gone. One after another until he calls his secretary, who is always with him conducting a meeting.

"Hello, hi, Graham…" Mr. Carson walks a bit far from the bench where Luna was sitting.

"Did you happen to know where Mr. Raymond went?" He asked again after the man greet him. Scrunching his eyebrow he then says thank you to the person at the end of the line and ended his call.

He feels guilty to tell Luna about what Graham has told him on the phone. He's saying after the meeting ended, Mr. Raymond was hurriedly packed his thing and ready to fly to Atlanta but he was stopped by his family and his girlfriend.

By the word 'girlfriend', Mr. Carson could guess it probably Sarah and then he said, they walked out of the office using the private elevator. That's the last time he saw him today.

He feels sorry for Luna. She went into such trouble today by dressing up nicely just to meet him but he never comes. He didn't say anything to her and he only says that Raymond couldn't make it today.

He had to return to the main mansion, even though he doesn't know where Mr. James bring him exactly.

Upon hearing that, Luna turns sadder and return to the Beaufort right away. All the reservations they have made were canceled that day. Her excitement has turned into ash.

That's the first day of Raymond went missing without any news at all. Leaving her all alone in the mansion, and little by little, the maid in the main mansion keeps quitting for some unknown reason.

Even Dr. Fang is suddenly gone missing and Mr. Carson couldn't contact him at all. All left in the house is only her, Mr. Carson and two of the remain maids.
