Chapter 553 What Do You Like About Me

Upon hearing Cindy, Charles and Linda looked at each other and burst out laughing. Charles had no intention of explaining all of it to Cindy, so he called out to Paul who was still eating breakfast,"Paul, tell her what a hickey is!"

With these words, Charles took Linda's hand and they both went back to the bedroom, ignoring Cindy's yelling from behind them.

It all happened so fast. Still holding a bowl of congee, Paul froze when he heard Charles tell him to describe what a hickey is to an innocent girl. He did not know where to start, whether he should actually explain it to Cindy or if he also should just find an excuse and leave. He swallowed hard as sweat formed on his forehead, wide eyed as he stared at an equally confused Cindy. Awkward was the word. 'The hickey is just the...umm'

He had no idea how to give a clear explanation of it.

Thus he felt so morose at that moment.

Cindy never had the chance to have a quality talk with Paul during the whole breakfast, so now that Charles made Paul answer her question, Cindy decided to seize this opportunity to ask him about whatever she didn't understand.

"Paul, can you tell me what a hickey is?"

Paul felt a bit embarrassed and remained silent for a while. He thought that Cindy was still a young lady who seemed not to know much about adulthood, so he began to think about how to tell her in a proper way.

After he pondered over it for a long while, he still hadn't come up with any suitable explanation.

"Paul, come on! Just tell me. Charles asked you to tell me about it. Do you want to disobey him? Tell me how Linda got those hickeys. Now we know that Charles didn't really beat her, but why are there some red marks on her neck?"

"You are very good with computers, so why don't you find out the information about it on the Internet?" Paul finished eating the congee hurriedly, but he still didn't know how to explain it to Cindy. Besides, it would make him feel embarrassed if he personally told her about what it was and how it was done. Thus he thought it would be better to let Cindy figure out the answer on the Internet.

After he finished speaking and eating the congee, Paul stood up and was about to leave. Charles would not go to the company today and planned to stay at home to keep Linda company, but there were many things to deal with, so Paul had to go to the company to help Charles handle some affairs.

However, to Paul's surprise, Cindy grasped his sleeve cuff when she saw that he was about to go out. She then said,"No. I won't go and find the answer on the Internet on my own. I just want you to explain it to me."

"Cindy, I am not the best person to tell you about it. Y

d to.

Paul turned around and withdrew his hand from Cindy's hands. Then he put both of his hands on Cindy's shoulders, fixing his eyes on her.

Although Paul wasn't the most handsome man around, he was still very charming.

He had received training in the military for many years, which made him strong, resilient and calm. Thus he had the qualities that were attractive to Cindy.

"Cindy, now tell me. What do you like about me?"

Cindy was surprised to hear Paul's question and she didn't know how to answer him. She just thought that having a crush on someone was just a feeling. She had no idea what made her keen on him. She began to be confused about it. After all, it was the first time that she had liked a man, and she knew next to nothing about love.

"I thought that you are special and you are different from other men," Cindy uttered after she pondered for a short while.

"What's the difference between me and other men?" Paul continued asking.

"I don't know. I just feel that you are very special." Cindy could only give such an answer after she spent a long while thinking about the question.

She really didn't know how to answer his question and explain her feelings to him.

"See! You don't even know why you are infatuated with me, but you just insist on telling me that you like me and you want to be with me. You're still so young, and I'm much older than you. I don't think we are right for each other. Besides, you also know that I have someone else in my heart. I'm afraid that we might never be happy if we were together. Cindy, I hope you can take this into consideration and give up on me! You can surely find someone better than me!"

After she heard Paul's reply, Cindy was so disappointed and sad. Tears began to well up in her eyes again.
