Chapter 401 - 401 The Introduction (1)

"I was thinking about it. I didn't know how the hunters here would react." Kitty's ears twitched and her tail swished.

"Do you think that I would allow harm to come to you. I will make sure that you are guarded and besides you have Ketan with you as well." Leo looked up at Kitty then back at Charlette as she stared up at him. 

"Ahhhhhhhhh," Charlette made a loud sound and flailed her hands and feet. 

"As if I had a choice, I wouldn't be here but as I am tied to you from many things I am stuck helping you out. I think you should go out as you are. I will guard you as you are. No one will touch you." Ketan sighs and looks at Kitty.

"Alright, I will go out as the Advocate. Darling, I am guessing that you will lead the way." Kitty touched his arm and looked down at Charlette. "Little Sunshine we are going to do something fun now." Kitty pulled out the pin and pinned it to her dress. 

Lydia took out the pin and pinned it to her shirt. "Well, I get the feeling that this is going to be a lot of fun." 

Ketan laughed, "It is never a dull moment with this one." Ketan touched Kitty's shoulder and waited. 

Leo sighed and opened the passageway. "Asurlon, I got this assembly meeting. Rex is going to watch the prisoner. You can join him or you want to come with us."

Jenna's eyes go wide like saucers. "What is this!?!?" She would've raced over to the wall if Brielle was not holding her down.

"I will go with Rex. I know that you are able to handle anything that could happen. I would rather not leave the supervision up to just one person. No offence Rex." Asurlon bows his head.

"None taken. I understand why you would not want just one person to watch him. I take no offence. Let's go to the prisoner. I will lock the door on my way out." Rex leaves with Asurlon and locks the door as promised. 

"Okay, now if the rest of you will follow me. Brielle, I will have you and Kitty bring up the rear. If you could show how the door operates I would be most grateful." Leo walks through the doorway with Charlette still in his arms. 

Jenna follows the crowd but looks at Brielle. "Do I really have to go ahead without you?" 

Lydia grabbed the girl but the collar, "You will do as that was in the instructions. I can tell that I am going to enjoy my time here."

Kitty went in and watched how Brielle closed the door. "Interesting. I think that it is a good idea. It is nice to have access to all the rooms in the office." 

"Yes, I thought that it was neat." Brielle scanned her thumbprint and it scanned her retina as well. The door closed and she walked with Kitty. "Thank you, for not killing Ketan. I want to ask is it really okay for me to go after him? I am a weak human and I am not strong like he is." 

"If that is what you really want then I will not stop you, Brielle. I do not mess in the matters of love unless I absolutely have to. I am not sure if you know what I did the other day. I know that you saw Ketan drink blood and I attacked him drinking so much that I nearly killed him. I lost control and it could happen again but as of right now I am safe." Kitty walks the hallway and can see into the offices. "I want you to know that it is dangerous for you to be near me when I snap. Although it was okay last night because there were so many others around, it might happen again so I will not allow myself to be alone with you." 

"You did not attack me last night and neither did Ketan. I want to be useful to the both of you. I do not want to be a burden that you have to tolerate. If I could, I would become someone that you could rely on." Brielle started to get emotional and teared up.

Ketan was not that far from the girls and walked back to Brielle. "It is not possible for you to help her in your current state. That is why she is playing the bad guy. She doesn't want to hurt you and that is why she will not be alone with you. Isn't that right Kitty?" 

"Hmph, I hate you right now." Kitty looked away from Ketan.

"I see. That makes more sense. One day when I transition over I will be able to help out then." Brielle smiled and continued the walk. "Sorry for the delay Leo." They caught up to the rest of them.

"You mongrel! Just what did you do to my Bree??" Jenna walked up to Brielle and protectively hugged her. 

"I did nothing that you supposedly think that I did. I am innocent." Ketan held up his hands in defense.

"It is my fault for Brielle's tears. You need to stop picking on my guard. I told Brielle a story and it made her cry." Kitty walked behind the stage. 

Leo picked up a microphone, "Good evening hunters." He stepped out onto the stage. "It is a pleasure to see all of you again. There is an announcement that I needed to make and I wanted everyone that was nearby to hear it. I will give those that are in the vicinity a moment to get here." He looked down at Charlette and kissed his forehead.

The hunters start murmuring but they wait to see what was going on and why their boss was holding a baby. A few more hunters entered the hall and stopped as they saw the sight on the stage.

After fifteen minutes Leo turned the microphone again, "I know a lot of you are wondering what I am doing with a baby in my arms. I wanted to introduce you to my daughter Charlette Maslin and a lot of you will be confused about how this happened. One night I went to Will's engagement celebration and I met a beauty that is beyond all my dreams. I got a thrill for stealing her away from all the other men that were ogling her but I was the winner of the evening."
