Chapter 397 - 397 Slight Change in Plans

"They did and some of us were hunted down and killed. I moved from Russia and my accent is something I learned to control when I was young." Lydia smiles and looks down at Thompson. "I stopped working and might be a little rusty but I know a lot more than my dear sweet husband."

Leo laughed, "It seems that everyone has their skeletons in the closet. Thompson, I think that your wife is more qualified then you are. Lydia, as a test can you tell me what type of supernaturals are in the room?" 

"What type?" Lydia looked around the room and her gaze settled on Ketan. "You already told me that Ketan was a vampire so that is a no brainer but I can not detect what you and your wife are, nor that baby. I know that there are some races that are hidden away. I would say a demon of sorts but I can not properly pinpoint it. I might not have come across your kind." 

Kitty giggles, "It is hard to say but since we mostly settled in one area you probably have not seen our kind. I am a hybrid though." Kitty went to her neutral state. She bent down and looked at Elizabeth. "How do you do, little one?"

"Ears! I would like to touch. Oh, but is it okay Mommy?" Elizabeth pulled on her mother's shirt.

"Fox demon! I have not met one before. Elizabeth. If the lady is okay you can. She will not harm you." Lydia thinks for a moment, "you carry witches blood. I did not feel it before but now I can tell that you have witches blood in you. Is that because you mask that?" 

Kitty picked up Elizabeth. "You may touch my ears. Just let me know when you would like to get down and I will let you down." She looked at Lydia, "I have to hide the fact that I am a hybrid or else I will become hunted. Even if I mean no harm there are individuals that want to kill me or even use me." 

"I am well." Elizabeth was rubbing her cheek on Kitty's ear. "No, please don't die. I like you! You are so kind and let me touch the fluffy soft ears. I am happy that I get to see someone as pretty as you." She clung to Kitty's neck. 

"I am so sorry about her. If you want I can take her from you?" Lydia gets concerned.

Ketan was standing next to Brielle. "I know that there is a lot going on but if Lydia is more qualified what is going to be the plan?" 

Leo thought about it. "I will leave that up to the couple as it is a family affair. I will not step in and demand that they slove everything. I know that it is going to be a tough choice but Thompson you or your wife, one of you two will become my secretary. I know that you are wanted and could get killed. So I want you two to talk about what you want to do." 

Lydia was still slightly standing on Thompson's back. "You are going into hiding with our daughter. I will take your place. I find it hard to believe that you hunted anything but this explains the nightmares you had. When I was younger, I had those nightmares but after a point in time, they stopped as hunting became a daily part of life. I no longer was afraid of the beasts that I hunted." 

Kitty looked at the girl in her arms. "I will not die, do not fret. I am going to live as long as that world will let me. I have no intention of passing away." She calmed the girl's heart rate down and sighed. "I am sorry for scaring you." 

Leo picked up another pin and handed it to Lydia. "You both can be my secretary. I can always use another set of hands. There are a lot of people in this association. If you want to become reinstated I will welcome you with open arms." 

Lydia looked at the pin and then at her daughter. "I will accept this but if you are going to send anyone away I would you rather send Thompson so that he is out of harm's way with our daughter and I will need to find a daycare for her while we are both working." 

"You can let her stay at my place. I do not just have a baby girl. We have a daughter that is the same age. We saved her from a group of rogue vampires and now she lives with us. She was supposed to go elsewhere but I kinda got attached… really attached. It doesn't help that I was nesting and in the last stages of pregnancy." Kitty blushed and glanced at Leo.

Thompson sat up and looked at his wife. "Lydia, if that is what you would like to do then I will follow your command. I did not know about this part of your life but I knew that you were from overseas. Since you are that one with the most experience I will let you make the choices." 

Lydia looked at Thompson, "you always submit to me. I do love you, Hubby. I just worry since you are already a target that you could get killed. So you should take this time to be with our daughter and we can talk about what to do when the major issue has been resolved. I trust that you know what I am talking about." 

"Yes, Mam." Thompson sat on his knees looking at his wife. "You say what I was doing so I am sure that you will be able to do the secretary job and you even gave me a hand when I was troubled." 

Ketan took a step forward. "If that is all settled now then I would like to take the two to my sister. She is awaiting their arrival. Thompson, my sister is nicer than I am and has more patience than I do." 

Kitty let Elizabeth down and walked over to Leo. "I think this is the right choice." She smiled and looked that the people that were in the room. ~Hey Sylvie, there is a slight change of plans. Instead, it being the mother it will be the father and the child. I hope that will be alright?~
