Chapter 376 - 376 Rex's Assigned Help

Kitty opened her eyes and looked into the mirror. "Janet, this looks amazing. I knew that you had this talent inside of you. I am glad that you did my makeup for me." Kitty stood up and there was a knock at the door. "Come in." 

Luke opened the door and looked at Kitty. "Mother, you look stunning. Do you think that I could take a picture and send it to Leo?" He placed the containers down and pulled out his phone. 

"Wait there is something better that you could do. Luke go stand beside Kitty and I will take the picture for you." Janet got up and took the phone from Luke and took a picture of the two of them together. She then handed the phone back to Luke. 

Luke looked at his phone and sighed at the picture. "I really look like your son. I am so glad." He quickly sent the picture.

Rex heard the click of the phone and looked back at Leo. "Sorry, I did know about the arranged meeting that was supposed to happen between the two of you. I was going to tell you but there were other things on my mind."

"I will not blame you. Rex, how were you to know who I was? I have changed into a colder person then I was in the past and I have grown up." Leo patted Rex on the shoulder. "I do not blame you but I am surprised that you got into the association even though you are a demon. I want to know how." 

"Oh that is easy, Sandra and Robert set up the position for me and all we needed was Asurlon's stamp of approval. Since it fit in with the laws that Sandra and Robert were trying to change into it was an easy in for me. It is never easy to deal with the loss of a loved one and you and Kitten have dealt with so much. Now boy put your ears away there is someone coming to see you." 

Leo let out a sigh and focussed on the ears and tail fading. Then there was a knock at the door. Leo went and sat down. Once he was seated he made it seem like he had been busy, "come in." 

The door opened and in walked Bell and Noah. "I told you that he was here." Bell looked at Noah and sighed. "Sorry for bothering you when you are so busy. I wanted to report about the case we were on. We figured that if you were here, then now would be a good time to say hello." 

Noah walked behind Bell and watched Rex and froze up a little bit. "Sorry for the trouble." 

Leo chuckled under his breath. "Good afternoon Bell and Noah. I read your report and I am glad that the target stopped hunting people and switched to animals. That means that we will need to check on that individual every once and a while. I sent you your next task and I know that you both have been working hard." Leo stood up, hugged Noah, and then hugged Bell. 

"Thank you, I was worried that we were disturbing you but it turns out that you were chatting with Rex." Noah looked nervously at Rex. 

Bell hugged Leo back and walked over to Rex. "It is good to see you again. Noah is afraid of you even though both our offices are on your wing of the building." She smiled down at Rex.

Rex looked up at her and tried to remember where their offices were. "It is good to see you again." 

"Their offices are the ones next to yours. They are rarely in their offices like you. I assigned them to be your right and left-hand minions even though I know that you would never need assistance." Leo looked at the scared Noah and shook his head. "Your wife is the braver of the two of you."

"Well, that is actually true Leo. Our daughter is now five and the nanny you helped us find has been amazing. I could not trust just anyone and you went out of your way to help us find the right person. I wanted to thank you for that." Bell walked away for Rex and went back to Leo and smiled happily. 

"It was really nothing. I would not want a stranger that was not trustworthy watching my child if I was in your shoes. Have you looked at your latest mission?" Leo went back to his desk and started typing on the computer. 

"Not yet, we came here first," Noah said this and pulled out his phone. As he read the email he started to cry, "Is this really our mission?" 

Bell pulled out her phone and looked at the mission log. ~Hunters Bell and Noah. you have been working non-stop for the last few weeks. I am assigning you to a two-week vacation since it will line up with the kindergarten holidays. Enjoy some family time. Leo~ "No way! Thank you, Leo! You are the greatest boss ever. I was going to ask for at least a few days off. Clara is going to freak out. You are amazing Leo. Thank you, Thank you but is everything going to be okay with the prisoner?" 

"I will help with that. I will not allow him to get what he wants. I will make sure that Leo is safe as well. You two go and enjoy your vacation and give the little girl this." Rex pulled out a unicorn plushie from behind his back. "Also, since the two of you will be working directly with me I will need your help with making sure that nothing happens on our side of the building while I am away on business." 

Noah took a step forward and picked up the plushie. "Thank you, I was worried that you were a mean individual and that you would not understand that family is important." 

"I lost my wife and my daughter. That is why I joined the association. How else was I supposed to help my loved ones that had passed unless I joined the very place that took them away from me." Rex looked at Leo and shook his head.
