Chapter 374 - 374 Time to Study Once More

"Mother, do you want to talk about what is bothering you? I will listen if you think that it will help." Luke patted Kitty's back before stepping back. 

"It is not something that is easy to explain and it is something that Leo and everyone else should hear. I am sure that when he comes over he will explain everything. It's not like I can explain it properly." Kitty shook her head and let Tiana down. 

Cindy came around the corner, "there you are you little monster." She walked over to Tiana and picked her up and tickled her a little bit.

"Tiana, ah ha ha ha ha, is not a monster… ha ha ha. Stop Auntie, please." Tiana giggled and tried to get away.

"Rex says hi, Cindy." Kitty watched Cindy.

"He is back?! I thought that he was away overseas? I didn't know that he would be back so soon. Are you excited to see him again?" Cindy stopped her attack on Tiana and lifted her up.

"I have mixed emotions right now. On one side I am relieved but on the flip side, I want to gouge out his eyes. He left for such a long time and has yet to come back and now he will waltz right back in." Kitty made a hmph sound and looked away. 

Cindy giggles, "it will be fine. You broke some seals so he does need to come and check up on you. It will be fine and I will tear him a new one. How dare he disappear on his granddaughter for such a long time."

"You have met this Rex person, I take it Cindy?" Luke looks up and Cindy is smiling. 

"Oh that is right. Luke, I was best friends with Kitty's mother when we were younger. I attached myself to Kitty when she was born. I was the one that helped raise Kitty. So I know Rex well enough. I will have to smack him when I see him again." Cindy mutters under her breath incoherently. 

"I see so our family seems to be a bit strange but I really do not mind. I will wait until I meet my Great Grandfather." Luke patted Kitty on the back and waited to see what she had to say about that. 

"Luke, do me a favour. When you meet Rex, I want you to call him Grandpop. It will be funny and I am still mad at him. He must have felt Julie pass. Julie is not the one that he was tied to." Kitty let out a long sigh and leaned her head on his shoulder. 

Liz came around the corner and snapped a picture of Kitty and Luke. "Katherine, you look amazing and Luke the way you let her rest her head on your shoulder was sweet. Sorry I keep taking surprise photos. We are done with the pictures for the day. I was thinking that we should take a break and the sky turn nasty and it is raining so you can get changed into some normal clothing. The barbecue will have to wait until tomorrow as there is no way to go there tonight." Liz frowns and pouts.

"It will be okay Liz. we can do the photoshoots again tomorrow besides we only had one or two more for the day but just how many outfits were you planning to get me to model this time? We should start going over the commercial instead." Kitty looked at Liz.

Liz sighs, "How are you always so level headed? Okay, since you suggested it that is what we will go with. Cindy you and Tiana get her back into her regular clothes and I will get Janet to help you get changed in your room. I do not want the outfits to get wet." 

"I am level headed because it is needed and there is no way around it. Luke, can you help me move to my room?" Kitty smiled at Luke.

"Of course, I will do that." Luke offers her his arms and starts to guide her to the bedroom. Once they got to the outside he saw that Kitty was thinking about something. "Mother?" 

"Sorry, Luke, I was thinking about Rex. It has been a while since I last saw him. He will frighten you but remember that he is a supernatural that has lived a long life." Kitty walked to the study and opened the door. "Thank you for moving everything in here. I am looking forward to getting it all unpacked. I would like for you to help but there are a couple of boxes that you probably struggled with."

Luke looked up in surprise, "I thought that it was just me but they really were rejecting me. I thought it was strange. It was these boxes." Luke pointed to the boxes closer to the door. "They got heavier and heavier as I tried to get them up the stairs." 

Kitty opened the first box and brought out the first book. "I am not surprised that the books would reject you in that way. They like me but they tend to reject any non-witch or warlock but even then they are picky." She showed Luke the wrapped book and slowly unwrapped it. 

Luke watched and saw the book title. "The Guide to Witchhood. That is an interesting title. It will reject me if I try to touch the book right? Will it also reject Charlette?" 

"It was my beginning reading material. It helped me learn a lot. As for Charlette, it is hard to say if the book will reject her or not. She is more a fox demon than a witch but she does have witches blood in her veins. I am not sure how that will work." Kitty placed the book in the glass cupboard. 

"That is understandable mother. I was only asking because I was curious." Luke smiled as he watched her open the cupboard.

Janet went to the door and saw the book Kitty but away. "Are you going to study more? I think that it would be a good idea and I love the way this room is." She stayed at the door. 

"I see that it is time to get changed. Thank you for all the help, Janet." Kitty turned, "if there is ever a time that I need to study it would be right now. I designed the room myself and Leo hired someone to build the room off of my design. I must say the way he and I worked together went well. Luke helped me decide on the wood stains. "
