Chapter 307 - 307 Symbol of Status

"I am currently mad at you. I never knew that you were doing that and yet you were." Ketan's eyes narrowed at Sylvie. He looked at the house and the whole building slowly got engulfed in flames. 

Emerson walked up to Sylvie and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Welcome back my sweet."

Leo watched as the place burned and waited until there was nothing left. "Truly remarkable. Thank you Ketan, your skills are really handy. We have one last place to finish and then we will be done. That is so long as Asurlon does not come across any other places." 

"I understand that you are angry at me but you must realise that it is for your own good." Ketan sighs as the flames extinguish. "We just have one more place to go to and then we are done, right?" 

"Yes, just one last place and then we can all go do the things that we need and or want to get done." Leo picked up half the papers and sighed. "Sylvie, can I trouble you and Emerson to take these back to my house?" Leo looks at the stack of laminated papers that were still on the ground. 

"I am glad that you understand why it was done, I can do that for you." Sylvie picked up the stack of papers off the ground. 

Emerson stepped forward and took the stack for Leo, "we will be back in a moment." 

Brielle looked at Ketan, "Are you okay?" 

Will walked up to Leo and patted his shoulder. "I am sure that she will be okay. I know how hard this can be for you." 

Sighing Leo looked at Will, "yeah, I know that she will be okay. I just do not like that every time I am away something seems to happen. It is either because I am causing her some problems or because she uses her powers. When I found out that she wasn't human I worried that I could not keep her safe and even more so when she was carrying my child inside of her."

Carlos looked at the group and kept quiet. 'It is strange I thought for a moment that I could feel a shift with the elements.' He looked up at the sky and felt the sift again.

"Brielle, right now do not touch me, I do not want to hurt you. I am stable but if I accidentally bring harm to you, I would not be able to forgive myself. I will be okay, just for now do not touch me." Ketan looked up at her and his eyes were red swirled with silver. Sylvie came back and saw her brother's eyes. She looked at him sharply and was going to leave. "Ambrosia, there is nothing that you can do in your state." Ketan walked up to Leo, Carlos, and Will. The three disappeared from their sight. "I will come and help in a moment. I just need to calm down." 

"Go and drink some blood. I am sorry that you had to do something that you were not ready to do. Go do what you need to. I will separate you and Brielle if you think that would help?" Leo looked at Ketan while asking.

"That will not be necessary but send someone to walk around with her for the first little bit at least until I am able to return." Ketan lifted his hand and left the area walking into the woods. 

Brielle, Sylvie, and Emerson appeared next to Leo. Brielle looked at the guys and didn't see Ketan. 'I worry that he is not okay but I am not an expert on vampires. All I really know is how to kill them but I have never seen the eyes look like that.'

"Now that everyone is here. I will send Brielle and Sylvie to start on the main floor at least until Ketan returns. Carlos and Will will start in the bas.e.m.e.nt, Emerson, you and I will work on the upstairs area. Sylvie when Ketan returns you can come and join us again upstairs. Let's move fast and get this over and done with as soon as possible. I want to go home and see what the situation is." Leo looked at the group and saw them nod in agreement. Leo walked away and towards the stairs. 

Emerson followed Leo up the stairs and saw that Leo had a forlorn look about him. "Before you ask me what is going on. I only know a few things. The swirled eyes of Ketan's is a symbol of his status within the vampire clan. I can't see the words out loud but he is extremely important to our people." 

"Thank you for at least not lying to me. I know that there are some things that can not be said out loud. I just can't talk to Kitty right now. The communication is not available. I wonder if it is because she is sleeping but I wonder what could've caused this?" They checked the first few rooms and Leo's phone went off. He checked and answered the call, "Asurlon, what can I do for you?" 

"Leo, the paperwork for the captive has been cleared and the gentlemen have been released into my care. I have him in the office with me. The poor guy has been locked up in that room for a while now." Asurlon looked at the guy and then handed him the phone. 

"Leo is it really true that I am going to be freed? I know that you told me so this morning, but I still feel like I am dreaming. I really want to see my wife again." Alario smiled and looked out the window.

"She wants to see you too but we did not tell her that we were getting you out today. We only invited her to dinner." Leo smiled and looked around the empty first room. 

"Thank you for keeping the promise all this time. You told me that you would free me one day and thankfully I trusted you. I will wait for you here in your office." Alario sat down on the couch and leaned against the couch armrest and passed out while on the phone.
