Chapter 289 - 289 Movie Time (2)

"I will keep that in mind and if I do need help then I will let you know." Kitty glanced at Tiana that was staring at the screen and let out a sigh. "I am glad that she likes this sort of thing. I was not sure if she was going to be happy but she is a good girl." 

Luke glanced at Tiana and smiled, "I think that you guys made the right choice. I get two adorable sisters to protect. Each one is a different age but both are precious to us. I am going to be the overprotective older brother."

Kitty giggled, "yes, you are but there is nothing wrong with you the way you are. Your werewolf senses make you more of an amazing individual. So what if you care more? That is just a part of who you are." 

"Thanks, Mother. I know that it is not always easy but you still do everything that you can I trust you and if you need my help, just let me know." Luke gently patted Kitty's arm.

"Do not worry, I will be troubling you to help with these two little monsters and they will cause more than enough problems. There is nothing that is easy about this but I know that you at least care. So make sure that you keep your eyes on the little ones when your father and I are not here." Kitty patted his hand and then turned to the screen watching the movie. 

Leo arrived at the second house with Emerson and Sylvie. They looked around at the outside of the building to see that it is a newer building and that there was not much in the way of indication that someone was or were here. Leo walked to the door and knocked. The door slowly opened as he knocked on the door. Leo stepped in and saw some yellowish eyes. "I do not mean you harm. I am only here to free any captives and bring justice to all the supernaturals that have been harmed by Valdis." He raised his hands slowly to show that he came in peace.

The werewolf stepped forward and looked at Leo, He didn't say anything but he could smell the hunter scent on him and something that was sickly sweet. "You stick!"

Sylvie walked through the door and looked at the werewolf. She touched the chain that was on the floor and it shattered in her hand. "There are several hearts beating in this place and not that the werewolf mentions it you do smell sickly sweet. I know that you have an explanation but we need to free these guys before they start to attack us."

Leo looked down at his clothes and sighed. "I changed, wiped down but I guess that I would need a full shower to get rid of that smell. Sorry, it was not intentional. I helped free a different supernatural earlier." 

The werewolf sat on the ground and looked at the vampire. "This is an unusual combination. I thought that you guys were with the asshole Valdis. There is a bit that I can tell you. I had a clan and we all lived in peace that is until we got captured and I was told that if we cooperated that he would let us go but that was not the case. Day by day would go by and one person every week would get to leave the building only to never return. I am the last of my clan and I will not be able to live. I can not live alone and my mind is fairly warped now," he shakily got up, "I will show you what I do know about this place. I want to see where my family disappeared with my own two eyes."

Leo nodded his head, "if that is what you desire then I will follow through with this. Lead the way and we can talk about how big your clan was and how long you have been here for." 

"There were three families in our clan. I had a wife and two daughters. When your mate dies you suffer a deep loss but to feel a child die is equally as bad. One family was a couple with a son and the wife was expecting the rare twins, and the other family had one boy and one girl. So I have been here for roughly eleven weeks. For a short time that asshole did not return it was after he took the gentleman's pregnant wife. I tried my best to comfort him as she was the fourth person to be taken. When someone was taken they are forced down this hallway and we were drugged so it made it easier, I think that he had a vampire helper." Slowly the weakened werewolf walked down the hallway. He followed the scent that his wife left behind when she was taken away. 

Sylvie listened to his words and followed behind a little skeptical but could still hear a few more hearts beating within the household. 

Emerson followed behind last and kept an eye on their backs. As they did not trust anyone. 

"That is tragic. I am sorry for your loss." Leo could smell the shift in the hallway and could tell that the pathway they were following was marked. It was a new thing for him. "How do you know where to go if you have not been down here before?"

"I guess so much time has gone by it should be safe to say this now. My wife was smart and left her scent on parts of the wall. I can only guess that while she was walking she would on purpose brush against the wall, in order to lead me to where they were taken. Our youngest girl was taken, she was only eight. So young and had so much life left to live. My wife bawled when she felt the loss of our daughter I tried to stay strong for her but it was hard. They took my eldest daughter and the werewolf son halfway through the first week. I can guess what they did to them but they were both returned. We didn't speak about what happened but you could tell by the scent. The two had talked about becoming a bonded couple but we wanted her to explore more before settling down." The father stopped at a door that leads to the bas.e.m.e.nt.
