Chapter 290 - 290 Frustration Levels Rise

"I am truly sorry for your loss. It must have been hard on you. I have an adopted son, an adopted daughter and a baby that is my own flesh and blood. If anything had happened to any one of them I would be filled with bloodl.u.s.t. I trust my son. I have raised him since he was five years of age. He is now fifteen years old. There is a lot that can make a person love someone else's child. I at first didn't want him but he slowly grew on me and before I knew it he was my family and he gave me a purpose. Now I have a baby with my wonderful wife to be and I would do anything to protect all of them. My adopted daughter was also something unexpected but she is with us now and I would not send her away." Leo looked at the door and pulled out a key. He unlocked the door and then pushed it open and when that did not work he was frustrated and kicked the door in. "What is the point of keys that don't f.u.c.k.i.n.g work!?"

The werewolf looked at him shocked, as the door broke apart and half the door went flying down the stairway. "That was a powerful kick. Thank you for at least trusting me." He walked down the path and stopped at the bottom of the stairs. 

Sylvie walked down after Leo and flicked on the light switch. The room lit up and they were greeted by old bloodstains on the floors. "This is disturbing to smell. No offense, Sir."

"None taken. It must be hard on you since you would be able to pick up on all the blood scents," he walked to the table, "this is where you left from this world, my love. It has only been a month but it feels like years ago." 

Leo watched the werewolf but went to a hidden doorway. He pounded his fist into the wall until his frustration was all let out. He overrides the code for the lock and the door slid open. Inside there was a body for a younger lady, maybe eighteen years of age. He reached down and felt for a pulse. 

Sylvie rushed over and pulled Leo's hand back, "she will attack you if you touch her. I did not hear her heartbeat before so this room maybe soundproof. It doesn't usually work but a witch can interfere. The other heartbeats I heard were coming from a shed outside."

The man turned around and rushed towards the girl, "Annet! I thought that you died." He hugged her and wasn't expecting what happened next. 

The girl awakened and attacked the man who had lead them to the bas.e.m.e.nt. She tore into him and started to eat him like a savage beast. She growled at the rest and kept eating. The blood from the man slowly flowed out of the room and towards them.

"I am glad that you stopped me. What can we do to help her? Is there anything that we can do?" Leo was staring at the girl and was at a loss because this was not what he had been expecting. 

The other group arrived on location and Carlos heard the sound. He bolted from the group and rushed down to where the sound was coming from. He pushed everyone aside and pounced on the girl pinning her to the ground. He subdued her and didn't move until she stopped resisting. "Sylvie, I am glad that you are here as well. Please help me take this one to my father. I am not the alpha right now, so it is not my place to help her but Jaxson can help. The less that comes the better. Leo, I promise that I will get her the help that she needs. Please entrust her in my care." 

"Carlos, you are a trusted individual if you know what will help her then please go ahead and help her to the best of your knowledge." Leo nodded and took a step back.

"I know the new location. I will take you there right away with the girl." Sylvie touched Carlos and the girl and the three left quickly. 

Emerson who was quite before looked at the body of the guy on the ground. "It is unfortunate but at least he will be with his family now rather than suffering. Thank you for your trust, Leo." 

"Emerson, I may not know everything that you have gone through but I was once ignorant to what went on around me. I have changed a lot and that is how I became who I am today. Kitty has made me an even better person and I have grown to like everyone else." Leo looked at the stairs and saw Ketan and the rest reach the bottom of the stairs. "You guys missed the blood bath."

"I could smell it from upstairs and as soon as we got here Carlos took off without a word is he okay?" Ketan looked at the dead body on the ground.

"Carlos is fine, the one that killed this one is why he rushed down here. He did not need to rush as the girl could reach us but I think that with Carlos she might have a better chance of life. I want all of you to be careful of hidden rooms. There is a small chance that there could be more than one that is locked up." Leo stepped over the body and looked around the room to see that it was a confinement cell in the wall and that there was nothing else in the room. "Ignoring the body may not seem like the best answer but for now that is what we have to do," he looked back at the others. 

Brielle stepped forward and said, "I will take the upstairs with Ketan and if we find anything we call text each other. I do not know how many hidden rooms this place has but I think that with us all on a different floor it will help get everything sorted faster."

Will didn't give the body a passing glance, "I trust those that you trust. So say the word we will move out."
