Chapter 803 - Missing William

The moonlight at night entered the boy's bedroom sweetly. His small hand supported his chin which seemed lazy. His sparkling eyes, as if struck by thousands of tiny stars, looked up at the moon that adorned the night sky.

Since two months ago, William had never thought that the moon could look this beautiful. According to him, the moon is just something that God created to illuminate the earth so that it wouldn't be dark. The boy thought that the moon was just the sun's close friend whose job it is to illuminate the earth.

However, since William attended boarding school, he thought that the moon was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Every night, precisely after he finished all his assignments at the boarding school, the boy would definitely sit by the window to look at the moon.

Every time William looked at the beautiful moon, he always thought of his mother.

Tomorrow would be his birthday, and now in particular, the boy was feeling nervous. Not that nervous, it's just that he was anxious.

He didn't know if his mother would keep her promise. William didn't know if his Mama and Papa would come to celebrate his birthday together.

"William, what are you doing?" One of the 3 boys occupying the bedroom asked. He had just finished brushing his teeth and was getting out of the bathroom when he saw William sitting by the window.

Hearing his name being called made William turn his head. In the dimly lit room, his eyes seemed to be filled with sadness. "I'm looking at the moon."

The little boy rushed to William with careful footsteps. Their friends were already asleep and if they woke up, he would be scolded by the teacher! The boy looked at the moon as well then turned his eyes to William's side face.

"Ahh, you always just look at the moon every night. Aren't you bored?" The boy asked again in a low, whispering voice.

"There's my Mama on the moon," William replied innocently. He supported his chin with his fist. "I miss her, that's why I have to look at the moon so that my longing is cured."

Of course the boy was confused by William's answer. According to him, something was seriously wrong with William's eye. Because all the boy saw was a crescent moon in the night sky! There is no female figure that William said as his mother.

The little boy frowned and mumbled, "I didn't see your mother on the moon... do you have special eyes?"

William didn't take his eyes off the moon and whispered, "Before I went to boarding school, I used to go to normal school. I used to not want to change schools because of my girlfriend. But since I didn't want to disappoint my mom, I agreed to be transferred to a boarding school."

"At first, I thought that I could go to a boarding school without any problems. But now I feel bad. You know, I used to whine so I wouldn't be transferred to a boarding school," William continued slowly, which was then followed by a sigh from his lips. "Now I really miss my mother. I always miss her…."

When the boy heard William's answer, he immediately nodded his head quickly. "Yes, now I also miss my mother and father all the time. I don't even know why they told me to go to a boarding school."

The two boys who missed home sat by the window. They lament their fate which is different from other children. Usually at this time, children who do not attend boarding schools will sleep accompanied by one of their parents. But William and his friends at boarding school must learn to be independent and sleep by themselves. Without their parents reading fairy tales or singing lullabies for them.

William no longer answered his friend's words and continued to admire the beauty of the moon that night.

If he called Lisa and said that he really missed her, maybe his mother would feel touched and say that she missed him too.

Not long after William remembered that maybe his Papa and Mama would come to pick him up tomorrow, take him out to eat, give him a birthday present, and most importantly, give him endless hugs and kisses, William giggled a little.

He really couldn't wait to go to sleep and wake up and find out that his parents had come to pick him up.

At the same time, Lisa also stood by the bedroom window and looked at the moon. Every night the woman always has the same routine. Before going to bed and after finishing her business in the bathroom, she would definitely stand for a while by the bedroom window to look up at the moon.

Seeing the moon that shone with its bright light always reminded him of William. The boy was always bright and his chubby cheeks were one of Lisa's reasons for living.

If she usually stands by the window, tilting her face up so that the moonlight hits her face, now Lisa is looking down. This time it wasn't the moonlight that shone on her face, but rather the lighting of her cell phone's screen. There was a photo of a boy wearing a pajama shirt with a dinosaur print on it.

At a glance, the boy looked like Oscar.

Lisa brought her phone screen closer to her face and kissed the screen. Finally, the woman had everything ready for tomorrow, for William's special day. Starting from the birthday present for the boy, to what clothes she will wear tomorrow.

Even though Lisa knew that she would meet William tomorrow, she was already feeling impatient! It is certain that she won't stop kissing and pinching William's adorable cheeks once she meets him!

Just as Lisa was lost in her thoughts, she heard the sound of the door opening from outside. Then the light from the hallway outside the master bedroom came in and lit up the room, which was quite dark if not illuminated by the moonlight.

Lisa turned and saw the figure of the man she had been waiting for all this time.

"Oh, you're home already?"
