Chapter 3 - Family!?

Su Mo Jiaran's car was also one of the cars that crashed in the accident that Yan Shu was involved. She had an argument with her grandfather for not letting her go to UK . She thought after all these years her grandfather will let her have a free life that made her decide to shift to abroad where her second cousin was staying. She thought she won't have to fear of enemies there. But her grandfather was reluctant to send her. He was determined to keep her by his side as long as he can ,afraid that he will lose her too.

That led to Jiaran's lashing out, driving a car by herself even when she did not have a license, engaging in an accident. If not for the bodyguards who followed after her she might have suffered more damage than one can imagine instead of only having hit her head in the steering wheel hardly and getting a slight cut on her forehead.

Old Master Su kept Yan Shu company as he sat on the sofa placed in one corner of the room. Yan Shu felt uncomfortable being watched while eating so she lowered her head and kept eating as fast as she can.

"Mo Ran, do you really want to leave by my side that much?" The sadness can be detected in the old man's voice who was looking at his granddaughter dejectedly.

Yan Shu did not know what to say in response so she decided to stay quiet.

Her silence made the old man's heart ache more and he let out a sigh and emphasized every word, " If you are that much determined to go, then I guess I have no choice anymore. I will grant your wish."

Yan Shu paused eating and looked up at the old man. Just as the old man thought his granddaughter might be over the moon hearing this until he heard her say,

" Grandpa, I am sorry I was wrong. I don't want to leave home. Forget what I said before." Yan Shu remembered how she also decided to go abroad and live at her own will freely after receiving the award. She knew she will never have a normal life here in her home country being the popular actress and actress of the decade. Hence, although she was reluctant to leave she had no choice but to decide to do so.

Now that she was no longer an actress and won't have the restricted life she had before she decided not to leave instead enjoy her life with this body.

The old man could not catch her phrase as he was flabbergasted with this turn of event. Nevertheless he was very much delighted of her choice of not leaving. But he was aggrieved after hearing her decision.

Seeing that the old man was lost in his own thoughts Yan Shu continued eating.

After a few minutes, he finally chimed " Mo Ran, is this your final decision?"

Yan Shu just gave a nod.

Old Master Su thought she was just doing this for his sake. His heart immediately softened as he stared at her. After much difficulty he suggested, " Mo Ran, do you want to go to school?"

Su mo Jiaran was a cheerful , easygoing and happy go lucky kid before , until her parents died. She lost the charm of happiness and became quiet and aloof. She did not talk as much as before nor she was as bubbly as before. Seeing her change, Old Master Su decided to homeschool her , afraid that she might be bullied cause of her aloofness. Over the years ,she did not leave home much and tends to shut herself in the study often hours after hours. She never asked for anything nor did she ever attend any events even if it was the event of Su family. Everyone in the family tried many ways to change her, but to no avail. It was like she had shut herself in her own world where they were not allowed. They could not help but get used to it.

The first time she ever asked for something , was asking for allowance to move abroad to her second cousin's place. But was eventually rejected. So the old man assented by giving her another way out.

" Mmm. Okay." Yan Shu dropped out of school in her second-year of high school to put her all concentration into acting. Hence, school was like a luxury to her although she had studied many things over the years for gaining knowledge and improving her acting. So she was not much into it but after giving it a thought she was quite elated to experience a proper school life. Maybe this time she wouldn't have to dropout and may even be able to go to university.

" Rest well. I will take care of the school thing. For the moment all you have to do is recuperate well and be back to your strong form quickly." Old Master Su was a bit disappointed with her calm answer.

Hence, he gave her a proper check for one last time before leaving her to rest to handle the school matter.

Yan Shu now felt better after eating.

She got down from the bed and looked around for phone or laptop, anxious to know what happened to the real Yan Shu. Not being able to find any communication device in the room she headed out of the room and rushed to the study room which was next to the bedroom.

As soon as she entered the study her eyes went to the laptop placed over the table. She went forward and opened it and searched for her news.

As soon as she searched for her name , numerous articles popped up reporting her car accident with pictures attached to every news.

After scrolling down abit ,she found a picture of her body lying in a hospital bed with oxygen mask on. Tears fell from her eyes unconsciously as she stared at the picture of herself. The body she put in so much effort to make perfect all these years, the body in which her all the memories were stored and the body which had been with her in her happiness, worse days and in success , was now lying there like a death body without any soul. Her eyes were tightly shut and her eyelids were heavily drooped. Her face was pale and colorless while her head was covered with bandage and her body covered in bruises.

She felt gloomy and sobbed loudly.

Should she be grateful for being alive or being dead!?

What kind of fate did God inscribe her.

Then suddenly her fingers on the keyboards froze.

" Lao Ye, the assistant of the movie queen died on the scene along with many other victims of the crash last night."

The words snatched all the energy left on her body.She did not even felt this sorrowful upon seeing her half-dead body than seeing this.

She felt guilty, dejected,lonely. Being one of her closest person, Lao Yu was already a part of her life . She was reminded of just yesterday night when the guy was laughing at her , joking with her , promised to be by her side always. Just yesterday this guy was asking for a screen projector to her and begging her not to fire him.

The more she thought about him the more she lamented, woed,the more she cried hysterically.

Her cries would have alerted the whole Su Villa, But the study was soundproofed.

Su Mo Jiaran did not like any disturbance when doing her own things so the room was founded soundproof.

She cried for a long time until she passed out.

She seemed to fall into a deep abyss, a dark nightmare.

"Xiao Chen, look it's your sister. From now on you should protect her by any means." A middle-aged woman was holding a baby in her arms while also looking at another kid sitting beside her on the hospital bed.

" Mommy, she's so pretty just like you. I will always look after her. Don't worry." The boy said caressing the baby.

Yan Shu stared at the mother and son pair and walked towards them. As she neared ,the woman looked up at her and Yan Shu stopped. She realized the woman was her mother and the baby looks just like her when she was a baby. She looked at the boy sitting beside her mom and tried hard to remember who was he. She doesn't seem to know this boy. But the boy was calling her mother mom and sister to her.

She walked towards her mother and tried to touch her. Just as she was about to touch her mom's face she was suddenly wide awake.

" She's awake. Look, she's awake." Someone spoke.

Yan Shu was confused at first but then remembered how she's now Su Mo Jiaran and the transmigration incident. She slowly wake up sitting on the bed half laid.

In the room, there were more people than in the morning. Apart from the old Master Su and his butler, Su Mo Jiaran's godparents were there and another young man was sitting by her bedside.

Su Mo Jiaran's godparents were her uncle and aunt. As for the young man, he was her eldest cousin and CEO of the Su Corporation, Su Jiacheng.

"Why did you went out of the room when I told you to rest?" The old man was worried to death when the servants informed him of the she has fainted.

"Yeah. Your grandpa is right. You just suffered a big accident, how dare you move around." Su Haolin, her godfather reprimanded her.

"I took a few days off from work. I will be looking after you 24/7 until you are completely healed. Can't take any risks." Her godmother, Yin Yulin patted her head as she spoke.

"That's enough. Let her have a rest. She just woke up. " Su Jiacheng interjected.

After asking her condition and reminding her to take care of herself again and again,they all left the room one by one.

Except Su Jiacheng, who stayed behind. He positioned himself by her side and patted her head as he stared at her with a pair of concerned eyes before speaking, "Ranran, I heard you will be going to school?"

"Yes, brother. " She had an unspeakable feeling towards this brother. Although she knew it was not her own brother, she could not help but mix her feelings with the real Su Mo Jiaran. It's been a long time since she felt the warmth of the family.

"Brother supports your decision. Rest assured, I have told grandpa to hide your identity to prevent people from bothering you. Brother knows you have grown up and quite capable to take care of yourself but you must report to me if anything happens.Alright?" Su Jiacheng was genuinely content that this sister of his has finally decided to mingle with the outside world. But he couldn't help but to feel worried since it was her first time going out in a vast of strangers field.

Knowing that his sister didn't like being in limelight, he and Old Master Su decided keep her identity hidden. Over the years, people only knew that there was a princess in Su family who was the apple of the Su Family member's eyes. But no one has ever seen her as they protected her well and kept her privacy safe. Now that she was about to go to school ,she will eventually go by her another name, Mo Ran. 

"I will be fine brother. Rest assured." Yan Shu was moved seeing the concern in Su Jiacheng for his sister.

'She is so lucky to have people really doting on her..' Yan Shu mumbled inwardly feeling envious.
