Chapter 138 - SECOND WEDDING PART 2

"EZ, can I talk to you for a moment?" Bastian came up with a serious look on his face.

"Sure my love, what is it? Is something wrong?"

I watched as Bastian dropped to his knees and pulled EZ's seat to face him. He was looking right at my best friend and pseudo brother, and I knew exactly what it was he wanted. I couldn't believe that I was going to get to watch this.

"Ezekiel, I know that I am not as smooth as other people that you might know." I could tell that he was talking about Laremy right now, but I didn't say anything. "I am shy and quiet most of the time, but I never stop listening to you and what you want. Right now, though, I am at a loss. I am not sure if this is something that you want from me right now or not, but I know that I will never want anyone other than you. I love you Ezekiel. I love you more than I ever thought I could possibly love someone. When I met you, I hadn't been looking for love. I didn't even know that it was going to be a man I was looking for. You were the surprise of my life, and I don't ever want anyone to forget that. I want to tell the world in no uncertain terms that you are mine, and I love you with all my heart and soul. I want to marry you Ezekiel. I want you to be my mate in spirit and law. Will you marry me, will you let me be your husband?"

My jaw was hanging open. When Bastian got going he could be really sweet. EZ had told me as much before, but I had never seen it myself, obviously. Now, though, I had seen it for myself.

"Oh Bastian, of course I want to marry you, you big oaf. I love you!" EZ threw his arms around Bastian's neck and planted a kiss against his lips. The kiss was long, hot, and passionate, so much so that I had to look away or blush.

"You have made me the happiest man ever." Bastian grinned as he pulled a ring from his pocket. "I bought this, literally, the week after we met. I thought that was too soon though, and I didn't know what you would say. So, instead I have been carrying it around with me ever since. I am happy that I can finally give it to you."

Bastian slid the delicate diamond ring onto EZ's finger, and I heard a squeal come from my best friend. There were other squeals as well.

"Oh my goddess, that was the cutest thing ever." A group of female felines was standing nearby, and they were staring happily at the newly engaged couple.

"Me too; I love it when love comes together like this. It doesn't matter who or what you are, you go and love each other." The group squealed again as one and then disappeared. I saw that Bastian's ears were red with embarrassment over having been watched. Well, I guess he didn't realize I had seen it all, or he just didn't care since I was there with them constantly.

"I am so happy for the two of you." I grinned at them, and Bastian blushed even more, though he was smiling happily.

"Thank you, Jacy." Bastian's words were filled with pride.

"Oooh, I am so happy. I get to plan my own wedding now! Thank you Bastian, thank you. I love you so much."

The wedding was winding down now. Thank the Goddess for that since I was exhausted. It was already almost one in the morning, and there had been a lot of dancing and partying. As happy as I was that the wedding had been uneventful, I was even more happy that it was almost over. And this time, I wasn't required to say goodbye to every single person individually like I had yesterday.

I was still sitting at my table waiting for Kyle when the last of the guests left. He came to find me so that he could take me out to the limo. I was too tired to object to him carrying me this time. In fact, I was happy that he was carrying me.

I snuggled into Kyle's arms and just let the warmth of his body wash over me. I felt like I was drifting off to sleep, and I didn't know why. I hadn't gotten up early, I had slept enough, why was I so exhausted.

"I thought you wanted to enjoy your second wedding night?" I heard Kyle's words as if they were coming from far away.

"I can't open my eyes." I tried to say the words but I could tell that they came out all mumbled.

"Jacy? Jacy are you OK? Come on, wake up and talk to me."

"Ky..ly wh..at's wr..ong wi..th m..e?" I was having trouble with every syllable of every word. I just couldn't talk at all.

[KYLE POV]

I had just picked up my wife so that I could carry her out to the car and then back to our hotel. But for some reason she just seemed overly tired. The moment I lifted her it was like she had fallen asleep.

"I thought you wanted to enjoy your second wedding night?" I chuckled at her, but she didn't open her eyes.

"I can't open my eyes." Her words were nothing but a giant mumble.

"Jacy? Jacy are you OK? Come on, wake up and talk to me." I was starting to get worried. This wasn't normal for her.

"Ky..ly wh..at's wr..ong wi..th m..e?" She couldn't get a single word out without needing to concentrate on it very hard.

"Jacy? What's wrong, Jacy?"

My shouted words brought the others running. Bastian, Laremy, and EZ were at our sides in an instant.

"What's going on?" EZ looked panicked and scared.

"What happened?" Laremy was alert and started to take Jacy's pulse. I often forget that he was almost done with medical school when he was changed.

"She won't wake up. She was talking, but it was slurred, and then she just fell asleep."

"It looks like her breathing is shallow. She's alive, but unconscious. We need to get her to someone that can help her. A friend of mine is a doctor, and he still works at the hospital. He isn't human so he will understand the situation. Come on, let's go."

The five of us, though one was unconscious in my arms, hurried out to the limo. Laremy told the driver where to go and then pulled his phone out. I didn't pay much attention to what he was saying, I was paying more attention to the woman lying in my arms.

I couldn't believe that this was happening. Why? Why now? What was going on with her? What did I do wrong? What happened to her? I wanted answers to these questions, and I wanted them now. I needed to know why my wife was sick all of a sudden. And I swear, I will kill anyone who might have done something to her.

The limo ride was silent after Laremy made his call. We all rode in silence with the four of us staring at Jacy as she lay motionless in my arms. I couldn't stop worrying and neither could EZ.

I had thought that the limo was going to take us to the hospital, but instead it took us to an apartment building. Laremy ushered us all out of the Limo and inside the building. We went straight to the elevator and rode it to the eleventh floor. There were four apartments and Laremy led us to the one on the back corner of the building.

The door had been opened, and I was inside before I even looked at the man who was inside the apartment. I smelled him though, and he was a wolf.

"Laremy, what happened?" He called out to the vampire, then must have looked at the woman in my arms. "JACY? Oh my Goddess, is that Jacy?"

"How the hell do you know her?" EZ asked the man.

"Yeah Deek, how do you know her?"

"Whoa, whoa! Calm down. I'm no threat to any of you. I know her because she is from my pack. I left a long time ago, back when she was maybe fourteen. I thought she would be the Alpha by now. My Goddess, I can't believe I'm seeing her again, and like this of all things. What the hell happened to her?" He sounded like he was scared and nervous because of the intense situation.

"That's why we're here; we don't know." I could hear the desperation in my voice.

"Get her in there, I have an emergency room all set up and waiting. Let's go figure all of this out."
