Chapter 136 - PREPARING FOR THE SECOND WEDDING PART 2

I was still nervous and I don't know why. I was possibly even more nervous now than I was yesterday. I think it was because there were going to be about twenty times as many people at my second wedding than at my first.

However, Kyle was right. He may not have said it in these words, but I knew what he had been meaning when he called me Mrs. Donovan. We were already married, it's not like anything could go wrong if I totally fucked up today. I could run away halfway through, and we would still be married.

I don't think that I could do that to Kyle, though. I could already imagine the look of heartache on his face if I were to run away. It would kill him and make him think that I didn't love him. Dammit, I may be a bitch, but I wasn't heartless.

When Kyle pulled me out of the limo, I felt my heart race. I was just glad that we were at the back entrance of the wedding venue that Kyle's cousin and his wife owned. I didn't want to go through the front door like last time. That hadn't ended well.

This time we were taken through the back so that we could hide me away from the crowd until it was time to have the whole wedding ceremony over again. Kyle left me back there with Lucian and EZ while the others went to take their places. Kyle also needed to welcome everyone to the venue and thank them for coming. He was their Alpha so that was his job, not mine.

"Are you OK?" Lucian asked me as he sat in front of me. I was probably looking like a scared little girl or something.

"There are a lot of people out there, Lucian. And the last time I saw them I was challenged." I looked up into his eyes. "You know how it went. I had to fight her to the-."

"Yeah, I know, don't say it out loud. Plausible deniability, remember." He laughed and smiled then. I could tell that he was just trying to break the tension and make me laugh. It worked, a little. I did smile and giggle just a bit. He always said that when we talked about committing crimes even when they're necessary.

"You know, I forgot what that means. Does that mean you want me to give you intimate details about how I ripped out her-?"

"Oh hush, dammit!" He laughed. "Now you're just being grotesque."

"Agreed. I don't want to hear about that. I had to see it for myself not that long ago when Bastian had to-."

"GAH! I swear. You two are the worst sometimes." He was laughing and covering his ears like he was a teenager hearing about his parents' sex lives. "I don't want to hear any of this. Just hush. LALALALALALA!"

The three of us laughed, and I was glad that they were with me to help make me feel better.

"I'm glad to see you smiling, Jacy baby." EZ grinned at me. "Lucy and I were worried about you."

"Don't call me Lucy." Lucian snapped at him before continuing. "However, he is right. We were worried about you. I know you're nervous, but just remember that we're here for you. You don't need to worry because EZ and I are here for moral support. Plus you have those other two if they can stop fighting long enough for it."

"They will be fine, Lucy. They get along much better than they used to. Laremy has finally accepted Bastian is the number one right now. He is patiently waiting and just happy with the love that I give him for right now."

"Yeah, I really didn't need to know that." Lucian looked appalled and pretended to gag.

"Oh, you love it, and you know it. It's love, and love is not bad. Just be patient, Lucy, you will find your mate soon enough."

"I give up on love and mating. I have come to terms with the fact that it just isn't going to happen for me. And I am fine with that."

"You shouldn't give up, Lucian." I smiled at him. "I thought that it was never going to happen for me, and now look at where I am at." I laughed nervously at the thought.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." He shrugged his shoulders. "I will be open to the idea."

"Good, we all need to be on the lookout, no matter where your mate is, we will find him or her."

"It will be a HER!" Lucian snapped at EZ causing him to laugh hysterically.

"Whatever you say, Lucy dear."

We were still laughing when there was a knock on the door.

"Jacy, it's me." Jazmine called out as she opened the door.

I immediately noticed that there was someone else there with her. Another feline female based on the scent. I also noticed that Lucian stood up way too fast. He was looking at the door intently, like there was a threat or something on the other side of it.

When Jazmine opened the door all the way the first thing I saw was just her: tall, slender, light brown hair and green eyes. But then I saw the small woman behind her. She was shorter than EZ, even with the heels she was wearing. She was maybe five feet even without them. Her hair was golden with black highlights and her eyes were a very feline looking green. She was small and exotic looking. And she was staring wide eyed at Lucian.

As I turned to look at the man next to me I saw that he wasn't looking at a threat, he was looking at his mate. Huh, that happened sooner than I expected.

"Oh my. I didn't expect this." Jazmine giggled. "I only came to get you for the wedding, Jacy. I didn't think that my assistant would mate with your friend here. What a wonderful surprise this is, though." Jazmine giggled. "Come on now, introduce yourself."

She pushed the woman behind her into the room a little, and she just stared up at Lucian. I could imagine that she was nervous since Lucian was six feet seven inches tall, and that's intimidating for sure.

"H..h..hello." She squeaked in a small voice. "My name is Cecilia Avalon, I am a bobcat shifter." She was holding her hand out toward Lucian nervously.

"Hello Cecilia, Lucian Leight, a bear shifter." He took her hand and pulled her up and toward him, lifting her off the floor.

"Well, that certainly explains the height." Jazmine giggled near the door.

"Y..you are r..r..really tall." Cecilia giggled as her feet started to dangle above the floor.

"I don't think that will be a problem for us at all." His voice was purring for her. "It just means that I can carry you everywhere, and you can find me no matter where we go." Cecilia giggled at him. "I am very pleased to meet you, Cecilia." Lucian was still purring for her.

"You can call me CeCe."

"Even better."

After a moment, Jazmine cleared her throat.

"Well, I hate to interrupt, but we have a wedding to get to. Lucian, you are still escorting the bride down the aisle right? And don't worry, I will move CeCe's place setting to your table, Lucian. You will have plenty of time to talk tonight."

"Yes, that will be great, thank you." He set CeCe down, then stood up straight. "I guess we have a wedding to get to Jacy, come on."

"Hey, don't push me out the door. I am not ready to leave yet so don't drag me down the hall."

No matter how much I protested, Lucian just pulled me along until we were at the door for me to wait. I waited to slap him for his eagerness. He had forcefully manhandled me until there was no way that I could postpone this anymore. I was going to kick his furry fucking bear ass. He just wanted to rush this along so that he could sit and talk to his mate.

Yeah, I was happy for him, but that didn't mean he could sacrifice my sanity. Though I am guessing that if he didn't drag me along like he did, I might have tried to drag it out way longer than I was supposed to. I was the bride though, wasn't I? I was allowed to do that. I had been through this entire process without once turning into a bridezilla on them.

Now though, I was about to be forced down the aisle and rushed to my social doom. At least Lucian had to wait until EZ and Bastian walked down the aisle. Since Winston was officiating Kyle needed a different Best Man for today. And Jazmine had gotten a couple of kids from the pack that knew Kyle to be the flower girl and ring bearer; they had to go ahead of us. If it wasn't for all of them, I think Lucian would have dragged me kicking and screaming down the aisle.
