Chapter 135 - PREPARING FOR THE SECOND WEDDING

[KYLE POV]

I slept the morning away with my wife in my arms. When I woke to the sound of the phone buzzing incessantly I was holding her against my chest while she still slept soundly. She had been exhausted after the wedding and the night that followed it. I, for one, had slept wonderfully.

I reached across the bed and grabbed the phone. EZ was calling Jacy but it stopped ringing the moment I looked at it. I saw that there were twelve missed calls from the little Chihuahua. Damn, why was he so eager?

That was when I realized what time it was. Almost two in the afternoon. Holy shit! I didn't think that we had slept that long. And the moment that I noticed that the phone rang again.

"Hello EZ." I answered the phone, my voice still thick with sleep.

"Hello there Mr. Donovan, I was wondering if you and your wife were still taking part in your second wedding today because if so I need her cute little ass here as soon as possible."

"Sorry EZ, I just woke up, and she's still sleeping. We will get up now and shower. I will bring her over as soon as I can. And I want to thank you for thinking ahead and making me get two tuxedos." I remember last night that I had ripped mine, or rather my wife had.

"I see that our sexy little minx couldn't control herself." He laughed as he thought about what must have happened. "Please have her here soon, it takes time to work the magic that I do. My name may be EZ, but that doesn't mean that everything I do is."

"Alright, we'll be there soon. I'm getting up."

"Don't get it up, Kyle. There isn't time for that." He chuckled and ended the call,

; that man was truly something else.

"Did he hang up?" Jacy asked after I set the phone down.

"Playing possum, I see." I laughed as I pulled her toward me, burying my face in her hair.

"I woke up when you started talking. I didn't want EZ to yell at me for not getting enough sleep or something. You were right, he is scary." I laughed at her, I remember how she scoffed at me when I said that EZ was scary.

"See, I told you. And I don't think you have to worry, we slept a long time. It's almost two in the afternoon."

"Oh, no wonder he is pissed off. The wedding starts at six, and we're not even there for him to torture me yet." I felt her shudder at the thought.

"Well, I will order some breakfast before we shower. After we shower and eat, we will head over so he can work his magic like he said."

"Ugh, another day of this."

"But we get to come back to this lovely and fun hotel room tonight, and then we get to spend three nights holed up in here with no one to bother us."

"Hmm, that might be worth it, maybe."

We finally got up and did exactly as I said we would. We showered and were out just in time for the food to be delivered. We ate our fill, which was good since Jacy said EZ hadn't let her eat breakfast yesterday. I needed my wife and baby to be taken care of.

While Jacy went to be beautified by EZ, I got myself dressed into my second tuxedo. I was then left waiting with Laremy, Bastian, and Lucian. The three of them as well as EZ were going with us to the wedding tonight.

"Sooo, Kyle, I guess you had quite the night." Laremy winked at me as he spoke. "Sleeping half the day away like that. I can just imagine what you two got up to last night."

"Oh, shut it fang. He doesn't need that right now. He has every right to enjoy his wedding night." Bastian snapped at the man.

"I was just having fun." Laremy giggled.

"How do you manage this? Being around them, and the way they act to each other." Lucian leaned over and whispered to me.

"They're not always like this. Most of the time, they try to ignore each other. I think that, possibly, they might be getting along for once."

"That's getting along?" Lucian leaned back and eyed the two of them suspiciously. I had to try really hard not to laugh at his reaction.

It was hard to see, but the subtle changes were there. The two of them had been getting along more ever since the night that EZ had been attacked. I had noticed it, and I was sure that Jacy had as well.

In truth, I was glad that they were getting along better. With them getting along, it would mean less stress on EZ. I know it hurt him when they would argue. It wasn't any of their faults that EZ had ended up with two mates. None of us knew why he had a second mate, but things were the way they were, and they all had to deal with it. And they would, I knew that Bastian and Laremy would work it out for EZ's sake.

"I wonder what my wedding night with EZ is going to be like?" Laremy spoke up again while we waited. I know he did it just to annoy Bastian.

"My night will come first." Bastian snapped at him. "I marked him first, I get the first wedding."

"I guess it all depends on who asks him first." Laremy winked at him. "I mean, if you want a wedding, you should ask for one."

I could tell from the look in Laremy's eyes that he was egging Bastian on for a reason. I think he was trying to make him ask EZ to marry him, knowing that EZ would love to have a wedding for himself.

"Maybe I will." Bastian pouted as if he didn't get what Laremy was doing. When Laremy noticed me looking at him, he winked at me, further telling me that I was right. He was just trying to hurry the shy, reserved Bastian along a little.

When EZ finally came out from the room upstairs, I was more than ready to get this day moving forward. EZ was wearing his second pink tuxedo that matched his two mates the same as the day before. EZ had actually made all of us wear the exact same thing as we had the last time. That way all the pictures matched if we were to put some up from both weddings.

Jacy was once again just as beautiful and sexy as the day before. Her hair, makeup, and dress were all on point, and I had to give silent praise to the flamboyant little man who was able to pull all of this off two days in a row.

This time, I got to be right there with my bride as we drove to the wedding venue. The six of us rode there in the back of the same limo from the night before. Jacy was sitting against my side right where I would have wanted her.

I could tell that Jacy was shaking slightly. She was just as nervous today as she had been yesterday. I could just imagine how it was all going to go this time. At least Winston was the one officiating so it was someone that we trusted, or at least that I trusted. I don't know if Jacy knew him well enough to trust him just yet.

When the limo pulled up outside the back entrance to the venue, I heard her take a deep breath. She was nervous, scared, and ready to kick ass; I could read all of that in her eyes. She may feel a little overwhelmed, but she wasn't going to let it get to her. It didn't matter how today went anyway since we were already married.

"Come on, Mrs. Donovan. It's time to go show the felines that you're my wife, and the only one who can stand by my side." I grinned at her and squeezed her to me in a one-armed sideways hug, feeling her warmth and her softness at the same time.

Yeah, you're right Mr. Donovan, we're already married as it is. Why should I let anything bother me now?"

That was what I wanted to see. I wanted to see that she had this in the bag. I wanted to see that she wasn't afraid. I knew she could do it, she just needed to remember that too.

When I pulled her out of the limo by her hand, I saw that she was smiling confidently. I could tell that she was finally ready to take on the world, or at least my pack. We were going to tackle this head on, as husband and wife, mates, Alphas. We could handle anything and everything as long as we were together.
