Chapter 200 Just Make Sure He Doesn’t Die

By the time one hour had passed, Lu AnLing had signed the contract and Tang Bingyi began to ignore the men, in favour of getting to know Lu AnLing.

The meeting itself went smoothly and much quicker than anyone had expected.

At first, Kang Jun and Tang Bingyi wanted to contact the last remaining partner, but Mo Yichen had informed them that he had talked to the man about this and he had agreed to accept whatever decision the three made.

"He trusts in our capabilities to chose the best," Mo Yichen had said and so no one complained.

No one in the room, with the exception of Mo Yichen, knew this person personally. What Lu AnLing had ended up understanding was that the last partner wasn't in the country but by the time the project was to begin he would be.

Hearing this, Kang Jun shrugged and said, "Just make sure that he can keep up his end of the project and everything will be fine."

Mo Yichen nodded and said, "Don't worry about that. I can vouch for him."

To this Kang Jun didn't change his expression but his aura lightened as he raised his head arrogantly. "I'll be sure to hold you responsible if anything goes wrong."

Mo Yichen laughed. "Of course."

Any other person who would have heard those words coming out of Kang Jun's mouth would have peed themselves instantly. But Mo Yichen wasn't a normal man. He knew Kang Jun well and this meant that he knew that Kang Jun, despite being serious, would not hurt him in any way.

When the meeting was finally done, Kang Jun and Mo Yichen went their separate ways. Mo Yichen was a very busy man so he immediately headed back to the Halo Stars Entertainment Building.

On the other hand, despite being busy, Kang Jun had received word from Mr. Long that a lead concerning Chong Wei had appeared, so the man headed straight for his office.

The two girls were the last to walk out of the meeting room. They both stood side by side, with similar blank expressions as they made their way to the elevator.

"Do you want to have lunch with me?" Tang Bingyi said.

As the girl did, Lu AnLing had turned to look at Kang Jun who walked towards his office, as he opened his door their eyes met and Lu AnLing's heart immediately skipped a beat.

Looking at her, Tang Bingyi smirked. "Or do you have other plans?"

Hearing this, Lu AnLing shook her head before she said, "Of course not..."

Tang Bingyi: "Then lunch?"

To her question, Lu AnLing gave a complicated expression. She didn't want to be photographed with Tang Bingyi, mostly after what had happened with Kang Jun. In her gut, Lu AnLing felt as if this was a bad move.

Sensing something was wrong, Tang Bingyi frowned. "So you don't want to eat with me?"

"It's not about not wanting to eat with you, I do. It's just that you're pretty famous. Mostly nowadays, after that photo with Kang Jun surfaced... I just don't want..." Lu AnLing looked away. She wasn't sure how she was going to phrase her sentence, but Tang Bingyi finished her sentence for her.

"...to be seen with me?" As she said this, Tang Bingyi's voice was low. It was also contained a hint of understanding and this was backed up by the fact that Tang Bingyi did not complain.

Feeling as if she had unintentionally hurt the girl, Lu AnLing sighed and then said, "You know what, I'll go. Just give me a second."

After she said this she ran into the bathroom where she and Kang Jun had had sex. Upon entrance, Lu AnLing walked up to the mirror Kang Jun had pinned her against, took out her makeup and began packing on layers on her face.

As she did this, Lu AnLing felt a complicated emotion arise within her. She and he had been in here just moments ago entangled in a cloud of pleasure but now it was as if none of that had happened but the moments flashed in her head, causing her nipples to become erect.

She had never thought that she would have become such a person, but she had to admit that she loved being intimate with Kang Jun. He was always rough yet gentle and he would do anything to please her, just as she would do for him.

Blushing, Lu AnLing continued to do her makeup until she was satisfied. She then looked at her hair and frowned. She hadn't realized that she had removed her hair tie. Looking around the bathroom, she finally found it and then she braided her hair into a French braid. This was a style she seldom wore. And that was the point. She wanted to look completely unlike herself.

Stepping out of the bathroom and walking towards Tang Bingyi, Lu AnLing was sure that no one would recognize her.

Looking up to the young girl, Lu AnLing saw her with a frown as she spoke on her phone.

"Yes uncle, I understand..." She answered with a tinge of annoyance on her tongue before she hung up.

Seeing this, Lu AnLing herself frowned. "What happened?"

Without looking at Lu AnLing, Tang Bingyi massaged her forehead and said, "Before we go, I have to do something. You don't mind right?"

Lu AnLing shrugged. "I have lots of time today."

With that, Tang Bingyi looked towards Lu AnLing. Upon laying her eyes on the girl, Tang Bingyi's face twisted in shock. Seeing this, Lu AnLing asked,

"Too much?"

Hearing that, Tang Bingyi flashed her canines Lu AnLing's way and said, "Are you a professional makeup artist too."

The two girls laughed before they made their way outside.

Meanwhile, in Kang Jun's office, Mr. Long had stepped inside the room.

There, Kang Jun sat seriously as he watched the screen of his computer stiffly as Mr. Long explained some of the information he had found.

Despite Kang Jun saying that he would take over the investigation, Mr. Long had still continued doing what he had been asked. If he didn't, was he really fit to be Kang Jun's secretary?

Handing Kang Jun a file, Mr. Long said, "Since leaving T City, Chong Wei has gone to B City, L City, America, and it seems that he is now in France..."

Hearing this, Kang Jun's interest was peeked. He gazed up at Mr. Long and touched his lips with the back of his thumb. "Where in France?"

"A small town..." Mr. Long opened the file in front of Kang Jun and revealed several pictures of the location. Seeing this, Kang Jun felt his heart freeze over. Chong Wei was where he and Lu AnLing had been on their honeymoon...

Mr. Long: "I'm not sure why he's there but he keeps visiting this convent of sorts..."

"It's a recovery institution." Kang Jun corrected him.

Mr. Long: "Ugh yes, recovery institution... but according to my sources they aren't allowing him in."

Nodding, Kang Jun murmured, "That's good."

The man then paused for a second to think of the best course of action, but it didn't take him long.

Kang Jun: "Send some men to pick up Chong Wei and bring him back by force. No need to be gentle with him, just make sure he doesn't die."

Mr. Long felt a chill run down his spine as those words were said. Looking into Kang Jun's glacial eyes, Mr. Long knew that there was no doubt in his mind that this was the right course of action, so he didn't waste his breath giving his own opinion.

"Also, I want you to have something custom made for me." Kang Jun said softly.

Mr. Long looked at the man. His tone of voice had changed so quickly that Mr. Long was shocked. "What is it, sir?"

Kang Jun: "A pair of wedding rings. My wife and I will handle the design."

For some reason, Mr. Long had seen this coming, for a while now, but he didn't think that this was the best time to mention it. They were talking about kidnapping an old man, for God's sakes!

Kang Jun was cruel sometimes but, to Mr. Long, this was the cruelest he had ever been. He didn't think this was right... but again, Mr. Long did not voice his concerns.Though thank god he didn't. If he had, Mr. Long would have surely gotten on Kang Jun's bad side.

There was obviously a reason why the man was being cruel, even if he didn't know what that reason was. Mr. Long understood this, so he kept his mouth shut.

With all that said, Kang Jun was about to dismiss Mr. Long but suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Kang Jun gestured for Mr. Long to open it.
