Chapter 163: Am I dead?

Lucien's body slowly levitated as his eyes gave out an unusually bright light. White symbols began appearing all over his body and as the notification appeared in front of him again.

[Do you wish to transport the town to the Rakuzen clan territory?]

Seeing this Lucien looked down and saw many eyes on him, they were all expectant to see Lucien's law defying powers that can only belong to a god.

[Do not forget this is the life authority granted to you by me… The empire points you gain is the power of fate gathered from your subject but your cultivation level is too low… Using this aspect of the system slowly drains your life force! At this rate you are destined to die younger than your peers unless you make it to the god realm] Rakuzen warned.

"Just the god realm? That shouldn't be a problem!" Lucien said with a slight chuckle as he clicked the yes button and bright white light surged out of Lucien's body and completely consumed the entire town!

A loud screeching sound could be heard as the light kept expanding all the way to the walls of the village, covering even the magic towers!

BOOM!

A deafening explosion sound occurred and the next moment everywhere was silent. The light faded and everything seemed normal and many even doubted that it actually worked but soon they noticed the massive magic towers not far from theirs and this new territory beside theirs have even more magic towers! Many cultivators who could fly through the help of their spirit beasts shot into the air and saw an entire city beside theirs. But what stunned them the most was the massive Rakuzen statue visible from afar within the city!

"It worked…." Someone muttered in shock.

"He actually moved the village" Aponi gasped in shock and looked up to see Lucien's figure above.

They could only see his back and at that moment, many began bowing and praying to him as if he was some sort of god. They all forgot about Rakuzen at that moment and all their prayers were going to Lucien!

[Power of Faith detected!]

[Hosts body is not capable of containing this such power! The host needs to expel it or else he may lose his life due to power overload!]

Even without the system's warning, Lucien already felt the strange power surging into his body! At first, it felt nice but then he could feel the power growing rapidly, making him feel like his body was going to explode very soon.

"How do I use it?" Lucien's eyes twitched in pain! He barely had the strength to speak, let alone ask these people to stop.

Blood began rolling out of his eyes and ears but since the people were gazing at his back from below they could tell what was going on!

[The system has fixed abilities and can only convert the power of faith directed towards me into empire points… The creation path is one that requires a strong imagination… You visualize what you want and make it happen with the power… Thanks to the system and me, you can utilize the power of faith even with your low cultivation realm, any normal person wouldn't have a hope of surviving!] Rakuzen said.

"Cut the crap! A normal person won't be able to absorb the power of faith, I am only in this situation because of you!" Lucien muttered weakly as he stretched his hands forward and the walls next to both towns crumbled instantly and new ones merged, merging the two towns together! But even then the power in his body kept growing and he couldn't help but curse the people below from the bottom of his heart.

'STUPID PIECE OF SHITS! YOU ARE KILLING ME!' Lucien growled viciously in his mind as he gripped the void and pulled and all eight magic towers from the Bradford town and the four towers of the Tania village shot out of the ground and began spinning around the combined cities! Lucien proceeded to create another four magic towers and place all sixteen of them around the city.

Puti!

Lucien spat out a mouthful of blood and staggered in mid-air threatening to fall. Only then did people notice something wrong! Aponi watched Lucien and realized that the white symbols all over his body were glowing more wildly causing him to frown!

"Stop praying! You are killing him!" The old man was well informed about the power of faith so he roughly guessed what was going on!

"AAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!" Lucien cried out viciously as he created four statues of the Rakuzen Chinese serpent dragon and placed them at the four corners of the city but it was already too late!

Boom!

A loud explosion was heard above and his from the white cloud, Lucien's lifeless body fell out from the cloud, all the way to the ground. People gathered around his body and when they checked his leaned closer they realized his heart wasn't beating. Lucien had died….

Lucien's remained airborne while his body fell to the ground leaving him stunned. He roughly guessed what was happening but it was still too hard to make sense of it all. 

"I am dead?" He muttered in shock but didn't dare make a move. He felt like he was in this world and in another world as well, like two planes of existence overlapping each other, just like when he uses his abilities

"Rakuzen? Rakuzen!" Lucien cried out but he got no response. 

He was about to move but then he noticed something strange below. It seemed like time paused and a massive red eye appeared on the ground as a powerful suction force pulled him in. Lucien tried to resist but he was powerless to the forces of the spirit world!

The moment he fell into the massive red eye, everything turned black and this time he couldn't speak or even think everything went blank!

Bam!

Soon Lucien regain his consciousness only to realize he was in an extremely long line of people walking towards a massive green gate in the distance. He couldn't see what was going on within the gate and even now he couldn't tell where he is.

Behind him was a girl of about nine years or so and in front of him was an elderly man, their eyes had no life in them and Lucien instantly understood that these people had no control over their actions here. They have been stripped of their ability to think for themselves but what was even more terrifying was the environment.

It was like they were at the edges of a grand canyon, walking on a narrow path leading to the gates of hell! Screams of pain and anguish resonated from that gate! The pain of many and the cries of the young reached Lucien's soul-making him shiver in fear. He looked back to realize that the line of people moving in was endless! The skies were completely black but strangely he could see clearly!

"I guess I am really dead" Lucien said calmly. Surprisingly he didn't feel sorrow or pain, he only felt regretful because he couldn't be of help to the emperor after all. Even after everything, all his plans for the future! His wishes to become the greatest emperor that has ever lived he just died because of his people! A laughable death!

GRRRRRRRR!

Suddenly a deep growl could be heard as a beast appeared at the top of the Canyon with its eyes fixed on Lucien. Its body was that of a lion, it also had the head of a lion but the tail of a scorpion and the wings of a bat. The moment it appeared Lucien realized something very important!

He had stopped moving and because of that, the souls behind him weren't moving either! He had unconsciously stopped the flow of the underworld and it may even have some effects in the realm of the living!  This beast may have come here because of this!

"Because I am dead doesn't mean I will stop fighting!" Lucien's eyes let out a silver light as he levitated off the ground and into the air. Black lightning and a blue storm began surging around him as all the beast tattoos on his body glowed fiercely.

"A MERE DOG DARES LOOK DOWN ON ME? IF I CAN'T MAKE A NAME FOR MYSELF IN THE WORLD OF THE LIVING! I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE A NAME FOR MYSELF IN THE WORLD OF THE DEAD!" Lucien growled as he shot forward and the beast was taken aback! 

It simply sensed someone stops the flow and came to check it out! It has seen souls who managed to retain their consciousness but it has never seen one that retained its power after entering a place like this!

Gazing at the face of the kid, it realized Lucien reminds it of a man who came through here earlier, he too regained his memory but he lacked his powers. But even without it the old man tried to fight against it and lost shamefully! 

That man is Lukas Raizen!
