Chapter 117: True cultivation path!

Name:My beast Emperor System Author:Riviz
Hearing Lucien's words a smile appeared on Dean Xio's face. Even though he cultivated the powerful fire element as his primary magic it didn't stop him from feeling the heat oozing off the fiery fire whip in Lucien's hands.

'Truly… this is the work of a true forge master' he said in his mind as had gazed at the youth who has accomplished so much in a short time.

He couldn't help but remember the first test when he and the other instructors arrived just to realize that Lucien was battling a general-level beast! Seeing them do battle, he couldn't help but feel like two magic beasts were fighting each other.

At that time, Lucien gave off the aura of a vicious beast almost no different from the magic beasts. He looked wild, powerful, and incredibly talented! Those were the perks of a true beast man! But now, the Lucien standing in front of him was cold, collected, and calculative. His aura was hidden and his eyes revealed no emotions even when he laughed. This is an absolute state of mind attained by a handful of masters who have total control of their emotions!

"It's nice to see you again… Now get off this podium before I kick you out" Dean Xio laughed.

In the past, he acknowledged Lucien as a talented individual but their difference in status can be considered a barrier, preventing them from communicating properly but with Lucien's new status as a baron, they could speak more easily.

Lucien nodded and jumped off the platform, not bothering to glance at the instructors. His descent was slow, giving many the opportunity to step away from his landing spot, but Lucien did not hit the ground! Midway, he stopped descending and just stood there in mid-air. He soon sat in the air in a cross-legged position and watched Dean xio with a blank look on his face.

Seeing this, Dean Xio just nodded and did not bother with him anymore. He turned his attention to the other students around and his expression turned stern again.

"In the past year, what you learn were just the basics and nowhere near the true nature of our cultivation pathway… Many may think at a profound level in this pathway, spells would be needed and maybe some minor magic to complement but in reality, all these things are cheap tricks. You cast spells only because you lack control… When one understands the true nature of this cultivation pathway, you become your element" Dean Xio said as he opened his eyes and from his hand's explosions rocked the entire hall.

He wasn't releasing normal flames but compressed balls of fire that exploded at will.

"There will be a time when you will no longer cast spells but instead manipulate the elements and transform them into your unique style… That is why Spirit realm masters are said to practice Martial styles and not magic" Dean Xio said.

Hearing this, even Lucien was stunned. While he knew a few things concerning the cultivation of spirit realm masters thanks to Rakuzen, but after listening to this he felt like all his knowledge is only a drop of water compared to an ocean! Since he arrived here, he had been skeptical about his future here as a student. He wondered if he was just wasting his time but this helps him regain his trust in the academy.

The rest of the speech had nothing to do with cultivation. It was a rundown of the academic activities of the year and what is expected of them. This time, they will be assigned to new instructors so Lucien had no reason to word about entering a weird situation with instructor Emma since he couldn't trust himself much. He may snap and tear her apart if they meet and she says something wrong.

The meeting ended and Lucien headed straight to his first-class without bothering to see anyone. He got a brief understanding of the power ranking in the academy leaving him stunned for a while. Who would have thought the humans would suddenly surpass them after getting what looked like a talent boost.

Indeed, the word talent boost sounds ridiculous but Lucien had no other way to explain this. He had saved the lightborn family from the nightmare demon during the first yes but gazing at them now, Lucien could understand that they are far more different.

Amongst the various talented noble families, Lucien treated the others like air and set his eyes one! They are called the Wuxing clan!

They say it was the last family the emperor conquered before he could create this empire. The people of wuxing are cursed and can only master a single element. They are said to have some sort of deficiency that prevents their talent from nurturing a second element but what they may lack in that aspect, they covered up for it with their great mastery of a single element. These people were already terrifying but the moment the sudden talent boost spiked, these talented youths became beasts which no one can compare to.

Lucien pondered on these things seriously as he walked to class but this time he got there on time. Since it was the war mage class, Lucien felt a bit excited. After finding a seat at the center of the class, Lucien was a bit stunned to see some ladies seating close to him. In this era, females love the young hero's of their time and as someone who has achieved a lot at such a young age and is most likely to soar higher in the distant future, it was not shocking that these people would try to latch on to him.

'Pests' Lucien muttered in his mind while he silently waited for the class to begin.

He ignored all these trying to speak to him, up to the point where many were frustrated and left. He remained seated with his eyes closed but then an amazing fragrance reached his nose and he felt a familiar presence. On a normal occasion, a person would be infatuated with the person who possessed such an impressive aura but then Lucien turned hostile and unfriendly. His eyes yanked open and he shot a vicious glance to the left only to see a familiar figure.

'Just as I suspected!' He cried out in his mind.

It was a fair-skinned Lady, with dazzling shoulder long golden hair and light blue eyes. She had a slender figure but her bosom and behind were large enough to make any normal man stutter when faced with it, but Lucien didn't flinch even once. His gaze remained cold as he slowly called his rampaging urges down.

"You… I remember" Lucien said calmly.

Hearing Lucien's voice, the lady smiled sweetly but Lucien frowned even more. He could tell the human faction in the empire are against him and the beast-men were almost indifferent about his existence. Whatever the reason is for her arrival he didn't find it funny.

"The name is Alice… It's nice to meet you again" Alice said as she gazed intently at Lucien making him feel uncomfortable.

As much as he would have loved to deny it, the lady sitting beside him was incredibly pretty, making Instructor Emma look average. At this point he regretted not carrying his mask, it would have been a lot easier dealing with these kinds of people.

"I guess you know my name… Why are you here?" Lucien said tried to calm himself down as he asked.

"Do I need a reason to attend my class?" Alice asked with a raised eyebrow, making an incredibly cute face that made Lucien's face turn red!

Pretty!

That was all that came to mind! He noticed his breathing got heavy and his head felt unusually light! He felt hot underneath and he couldn't help but agree that if this lady made a cute expression again and wiggled her bosom while at it, he may not be able to suppress the feeling down there anymore! This was an internal battle not to humiliate himself and he was this close to losing! Was this all he is capable of?

After everything that has happened to him?

Yes! Everything!

In a matter of seconds, countless images flashed across his eyes. There were his moments in the cold and lonely dungeon. He could remember how he screamed for help when the iron chains were used to pierce his body and drain him of his magic! He could remember how painful it was and how much he bled all alone in the cold and lonely dungeon!

How can he forget, how he sat in a puddle of his blood with nothing to eat or drink!

How could he forget watching his blood dry!

Where was she when he needed someone to cry to?

Where was the emperor when he needed someone to save him from all that torment and pain!

"No one came to save me" Lucien muttered lightly before lifting his bent head and looking her straight in the eyes.

"Since you are here for the class, I see no reason for us to speak to each other" Lucien said, coldly.
