Chapter 446 - This Means War!

Adonis appeared effortlessly and glared down Lord Romanoff. 'Can I tear him to sheds?' Adonis asked as he started to stretch out his tentacles and whip them in the air. "Together my friend." Cayden said with a murderous smile.

Adonis started to glow, his glare locked on Lord Romanoff. 'Fine.' He said with great difficulty before turning into twin daggers. "Do you think you can take me on boy?!" Lord Romanoff shouted but he could barely knee upwards, his hand clutching the hilt of the sword. "You don't have a choice." Cayden snarled, his lips curled slightly upwards as he flashed his canine teeth.

"You underestimate me....." Lord Romanoff said flatly then pushed his body up with the help of the sword. His body was fully erected and he was glaring at Cayden with utter disdain. "Forget the girl! Grab the boy!" Lord Romanoff commanded.

Half the robed army turned their attentions from the Lumas and moved to capture Cayden. A dark smile spread across Cayden's face. "Try it." He said as he raised his twin daggers to eye level. A cold and dark aura started to spread out and it caused some robed people to drop face first on to the ground. 

"What is this?!" A man shouted as he stood dead in his tracks and stared at Cayden. Shadows engulfed Cayden's face as an eerie, silver glow appeared where his eyes should have been. "P-p-p-p-poison!" A woman gasped as she got closer to Cayden. "No, I thinks its miasma!" Another said as he jumped back. "Miasma?!" Others shouted. Cayden let out a dark laugh as he crouched downwards, like a panther stalking his prey. "It's neither." He said in a cold voice.

Ariana watched from above, curious on what Cayden was releasing. While Lord Romanoff started to salivate. "Idiots! Surround yourselves in a purification barrier and capture him! We must bring him to our side!" Lord Romanoff shouted excitedly. Cayden flinched. He could hear the same tone he heard almost all his life. "I will never be yours!" He shouted as he propelled himself forward. 

The first few robed people were caught off guard, no one expected the destructive force that Cayden could bring. He sliced down enemies as if the were nothing but paper tigers. "Amazing, absolutely amazing...." Lord Romanoff whispered as he watched Cayden bring down his army. He looked back at the Lumas as they ripped apart others and finally he made eye contact with Ariana. His eyes sparkling with delight and desire. 

"You've done it young lady, you have absolutely done it.... We are declaring war!" He shouted in delight. Ariana shivered, she could see the same look her adopted father had years prior, the same eyes Flint had. She opened her mouth and tried to shout a command but her mouth went dry, she broke out into a cold sweat as Lord Romanoff looked at her with growing eyes. .

'Ariana?' Davita called out. "I," Ariana choked out but she could feel Lord Romanoff's gaze suffocating her.

'Somethings wrong with Ariana!' Davita shouted. The Lumas looked back at her and watched as Ariana gagged. 'Retreat!' Vasu shouted as he kicked back a robbed man. The Lumas nodded in agreement. Each did one final attack to try and buy themselves some time to escape.

Each let out a giant blast while Davita release wind blades for Vasu. Cayden was too entranced by the battle and was making his way towards Lord Roman off.

Vasu rushed forward and extended his arm outwards as he rushed passed Lord Romanoff. Their eyes met and Vasu couldn't help but flash his hatred through his gaze. "No!" Lord Romanoff shouted as Vasu caught Cayden within his embrace. He then carried him upwards, towards the open roof while the other Lumas followed suit. "After them!" Lord Romanoff yelled with fury and desperation but no one moved.

With mad man eyes, Lord Romanoff looked back and saw that his whole army was completely subdued. "USELESS!" He growled with animalistic rage. His breathing became erratic, sweat rolled down his temples and his teeth were on the verge of shattering from clenching so hard. A small, shadow portal opened up and a man stepped out. "You!" Lord Romanoff hissed.

"Ariana?" Vasu called out as he looked into Ariana's face. Ariana's eyes had hazed over, her breathing was shallow and her heart rate was high. "Will she be okay?" Loralei asked. "Would anyone? The trauma still causes her great pain." Rahul said as he looked at Ariana pitifully. "But my concern is mostly with the boy." He continued as he nodded his head towards Cayden who sat close, quietly clutching the hilts of the twin daggers. His eyes were still clouded with blood l.u.s.t.

'Adonis, why not change back and allow Cayden to relax his grip?' Davita asked quietly. 'Can't, if I leave he will just dig his nails into the palms of his hands.' Adonis admitted. 'So this has happened before?' Aroha asked. Adonis stayed silent.

'What are we going to do with all those people that are waiting for Ariana?' Duko asked as he stood guard between the small group and the large group whispering and watching them. 'Someone has to talk to them.' Vasu said as he rose from the ground and stood tall. "Vasu?" Loralei called out as the Lumas watched him turn away from Ariana and stepped towards the large group.

'I will do anything to make sure she is safe.' Vasu said as he took another step forward. "I won't let her die like her mother..." He continued as he took another step, keeping his pace steady as he walked to the front of the large group.

His neon pink colour started to recede, his expose skin turn a beautiful, sun kissed olive colour while his reindeer legs turned a dark pink with shimmer pearl like dust. His hair turned a soft chestnut brown and the antlers on his head turned a beautiful, dark cherry colour. 

Vasu then closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Davita flicked her tail and surrounded Vasu with a gentle wind. Vasu opened his eyes and revealed his icy, blue eyes.
