"The priestess? Can she really...."

There was silence inside the open market, no one knew who to believe. Each citizen looked back from Lord Romanoff and Ariana. Lord Romanoff snarled as he glared at Ariana. "Can you prove it?" He said with a sinister grin. "Is that all you can ask? ha! Vasu." Ariana called out sweetly.

A chibi, neon pink deer came floating towards Ariana as she stretched out her arms. Vasu looked at Lord Romanoff and smirk before he moved towards Ariana. The moment Lord Romanoff's eyes caught sight saw of Vasu he lost his smile and horror reflected in his eyes.

"Vasu." Ariana sighed as she caught Vasu in her embrace and brought him close to her her cheek. "That's, that's... I can't... it's.. Goddess of creation! It's true." The elderly lady cried as she dropped to her knees and bowed to Ariana. "Please forgive this sinner." The elderly lady cried.

"Please, don't beg for an apology. You just like everyone else was tricked by that sc.u.mbag." Ariana replied as she let Vasu go and glared at Lord Romanoff. The elderly woman sobbed uncontrollably as she buried her face into the ground. With a light sigh Ariana turned to the woman and walked up to her while the others took a step back.

"Tell me, does it hurt?" Ariana asked gently. The elderly lady raised her head and said nothing, dirt mixing in with her tears making mud. "It doesn't matter anymore... thank you for believing me." Ariana said as she closed her eyes. Ariana raised her claw like hand and placed it over the woman's chest. "Let me help you...." Ariana said softly.

Ariana's clawed hand started to glow in swirls of white and blue as the lowercase xi and psi glowed on her collar bone. The elderly woman gasped, Ariana closed her claws and slowly pulled back. A black blob surrounded by a bright light came out and floated to Ariana's hand.

She looked at it then the woman. "Years of smoking... you should really quit or you won't live much longer but at least with this gone you will live a little longer with an easier time breathing." Ariana said as she closed her claw and eradicated the black substance. 

"I can breathe... I can breathe!" The woman shouted as tears of joy spilled down.

"Did she just cure old madam Jenkins?" 

"There's no way!"

"But you can hear it in her voice! She sounds so clear!"

"The daughter of the jewel eyed priestess!"

"Praise the daughter of the jewel eyed priestess!"

"Save us, please save us next!"

"Unbelievable! This unbelievable!"

"You're right... This is truly unbelievable. Child, please excuse our previous actions. I would like to extend a welcoming hand towards you and invite you to your rightful place beside your mother at the church." Lord Romanoff called out from behind the wind barrier.

Ariana looked at Lord Romanoff with contempt. "Again with your lies? My mother is dead and you know that. I will never stand by the side of the church! Free the people you captured today or else I will track them down myself and destroy those labs!" Lord Romanoff flinched. "Y-you m-must be mistaken...." Lord Romanoff stuttered but he saw it, in just one small act Ariana was able to win over the masses. "K-kill them! KILL THEM ALL!" Lord Romanoff ordered as he turned to the Templars. "But sir," A man said. "My word is law! Kill everyone and do not let that child escape again!" Lord Romanoff barked as his eyes turned into one that belonged to a mad man's. 

"No." The man said as he stood his guard. "Insolence!" Lord Romanoff as swiftly sliced the air. The man started to gasp as he reached for his neck. "No!" Ariana shouted. Lord Romanoff killed the Templar on the spot and looked at Ariana with mockery. "Your 'mother' could bring him back from the dead can you?" He said with a low laugh. Ariana clenched her jaw as a low growl resonated in her throat. 

Lord Roman off turned away from her and looked at the rest of the Templars. "Someone call that illegitimate bastard Dean! We have to attack while they are trapped!" Lord Romanoff ordered. "Deagan?" Ariana whispered as she walked forward. People started to place their hands gently on to Ariana's body, hoping that some of her divine powers would enter their body.

"That man will die if we don't do something." Ariana said and her Lumas moved to collect the man. Davita bubbled an air pocket around the man dying on the floor. Vasu walked up and then held his hand over the body. The man was instantly healed and he gasped for air, blinking his eyes as he slipped past the clutches of death.

"My Lord, Deagan Shade is on his way." A woman said as she glanced at Ariana. "The shadow weaver Deagan?" Ariana asked. Lord Romanoff looked at Ariana with contempt. "You know that child?" He said with a toothy grin. Ariana's eyes grew wide and she turned to the crowd. "Huddle together!" She shouted as multiple black wholes appeared.

"Protect the innocent!" She ordered. The Lumas jumped into action and collected who they could while Davita kept up her wind barrier. Hoards of robed people started to jump out of the dark portals. Soon the air was filled with screams and cries as the Lumas worked to separate the innocent from the wicked.

Vasu worked on healing the injured as Duko created rock barriers. Aroha and Rahul were on the offense against the hoards of people spilling into the open market. "We need more power." Ariana said to herself and she knew what she needed to do.

Ariana started to close her eyes just as the newly revived Templar soldier raised from the ground. "Well little lady at least we know you can always fix yourself." Lord Romanoff snarled causing Ariana to break her thoughts. She looked back at Romanoff, she opened her mouth and the gasped. She turned back to the Templar and caught sight of the cold, steel sword plunged into her abdomen. "Forgive me...." The Templar whispered as he caught the back of Ariana's head.

Ariana wrapped her claws around the sword and smiled. The Templar soldier was surprised and didn't push the sword in further. Ariana closed her eyes and slipped into the darkness.
