Chapter 442 - Dramatics

With a sinister laugh Ariana soared as Duko and Rahul stealthily set fire to all the empty buildings and carriages. People were screaming and running in a panic as she taunted them, making sure they would see her face as she flew by. Ariana had asked Rahul to keep the flames under control so that the fires wouldn't spread to other buildings as she put on a show for all to witness. "Ready Davita?" She shouted as she flew closer towards the main evacuation site. "You will never be safe! You all believe that someone will come to save you but that's a lie! The only one who can save you is yourselves! Wake up and face reality! Wake up and become your own saviours! Your own warriors!" Ariana shouted as she made her way towards the entrance.

Ariana hovered over the entrance of the market place and narrowed her gaze. She watched as the as last group of people rushed in and she stopped flapping her wings. She dropped like a ton of rocks and landed with a loud thud. Pieces of rock and debris broke upwards as she stood up from the creator she made. Her eyes glowed an aquamarine while the flames of the burning buildings roared behind her.

The people inside started to scream and pushed each other as Ariana walked through the main entrance. The central market was a giant building that was open for all to set up shop to sell their produce of merchandise so it defaulted as the city's evacuation site. However it only had only entrance and it also acted as the exit, making their safe haven flawed. If an attack was to ever come, the citizens they would be trapped in an instant. Ending their lives.

As Ariana walked, light bulbs started to explode causing people to panic. Flames replaced the empty sockets as she moved forward. 

"No one will save you..." Ariana said with a dark tone as she approached the crowd. "You're wrong the church will save us!" An elderly woman shouted as she stopped forward. Ariana looked at the woman and laughed as she tossed her head back. Her whole body shook as she laughed and four symbols started to glow on her collar bone. The elderly woman trembled as she stepped back. "It's a lie." She whispered with her raspy voice causing the others to get curious and look at the cause. Ariana smiled showing her fangs, "You will be the ones to save yourselves. Stand up for yourselves, rise up from your misery and be reborn from the ashes. Don't allow yourselves to be blind to what is going on in this word!" Ariana shouted with conviction.

Some people started to step forward, entranced by the glowing symbols. "Stop! Do not be fooled by this imposter!" A man shouted. Ariana turned around and let out a low growl. Lord Romanoff and a small army walked in to the open marketplace. "Lord Romanoff, you didn't dress your people in those tasteless robes?" Ariana asked in a sweet voice. Lord Romanoff laughed as the army of men and women blocked the exit. 

"Why would the Templars need to wear robes? Especially when we are here to take down the abomination that is creating havoc in our city?" Lord Romanoff said loudly, the citizens looked at each other and nodded their heads, murmuring as they did. "Did I kill anyone?" Ariana asked bluntly. Lord Romanoff scoffed. "You laugh but isn't everyone here accounted for? I admit I did something naughty but I acted openly, not like some people who hid behind heavy, hooded robe and stole people for twisted experiments. I can own up to my deeds, can you?" Ariana asked as she raised her chin. Her eyes flashed with defiance as she challenged Lord Romanoff.

Lord Romanoff laughed again, as if the conversation was too absurd to continue. "Report! How many peope did this she-devil kill?" Lord Romanoff demanded and a Templar night quickly stepped beside him. "50 sir." The man said as he stood perfectly straight. "From the fires?" Ariana asked with a small chuckle. The man flinched, he looked at Lord Romanoff and waited for his orders. Some the people standing behind Ariana started to whisper. 

"Well, humor this devil child." Lord Romanoff said calmly. "N-n-none." The man replied. Romanoff had a smile on his face as he turned to the man. "Come again?" He asked but the man didn't change his answer. "None my Lord." 

"I can also guarantee that I did not kill any innocents tonight. Instead I cremated a very dear family member because of your men." Ariana said as her heart started to beat quickly against her chest. "What," Lord Romanoff started but Ariana cut him off. "Your men, the same men and women who you sent out this morning, attacked my carriage, manipulated my family members and killed one of my own in cold blood! I refuse to accept your feigned innocents!" Ariana shouted suddenly her Lumas shot forward and were standing guard in front of her.

"Are you declaring war?" Lord Romanoff asked as he raised an eyebrow at Ariana. The Templars behind him started to draw their swords. "No! I am just giving you a warning. Do not lay a hand on me or any of the civilians here." She said as she stood in the center of her Lumas. "Rich a devil like you wants to protect people?" Lord Romanoff chuckled. "That's right. I will not make a single move against you." Ariana said promptly. 

"Like I would believe a devil like you! ATTACK!" Lord Romanoff shouted. "Davita." Ariana sighed, Davita changed into her dragon form and used a whirlwind to push back the army. "I am no devil! My name is Ariana! I am the daughter of jewel eyed priestess, Evangeline Gaurita and Shevar Guronui, prince of the garnet dragons and I will not allow you to use my mother's name for your wicked deeds anymore!" Ariana shouted.
