Chapter 441 - Take Care

After many failed attempts, with a heavy Ariana carried Tillie's body pieces back towards the carriage. No matter how strong her magic or will lower was, Ariana could not raise the dead. "This is all I can do for you Tillie." She whispered into Tillie's ear after she places the three pieces of her body perfectly into the carriage. She stepped back and looked at Rahul. "Burn it." She commanded. Rahul nodded his head and stepped forward. 'May you be reincarnated with all your wishes fulfilled.' Rahul said before he took a deep breath in. "May her next life be blessed." Ariana said just as Rahul let out a fireball big enough to engulf the entire carriage at once. 

"Tillie..." Edlyn cried as Xander held her protectively in her arms while Roland hung his head in shame. "Roland, I can have Vasu heal your eyes." Ariana said in a flat tone. "No. This is my punishment..." Roland said as he shook his head no, refusing to raise his gaze from the ground. Ariana looked at Roland pathetic figure then sighed. "You don't need to punish yourself. It wasn't your fault." Ariana said as she stared.

Roland stayed silent. "Vasu." Ariana called out. "I said no!" Roland shouted as he finally raised his gaze. His face was stained with tears.

"You don't have a choice." Ariana said just as Vasu placed his hand of Roland's face. A soft pink spread around Roland. "How could you." Roland said pitifully. "Someone has to make sure these two make it to safe grounds." Ariana said as she glanced to Edlyn and Xander. Vasu stepped back and bowed to Ariana before changing back into his chibi form. 

"What," Edlyn started but the void emotions reflecting in Ariana's eyes caused her to swallow back her question. "Someone leaked your plan, your group has been compromised and I have no idea if the others are safe. You can't go back, I can't go back. You can't even go look for them so this is the end." Ariana replied. "You can't mean that! There are our friends out family! You're tell us to abandon them?!" Edlyn shouted. "Yes." Ariana said bluntly. Evelyn pursed her lips and tears brimmed her eyes.

Ariana moved her gaze to Xander and bowed. "Please keep her safe." She said. "With my life." Xander replied.

Ariana raised her head and looked at Xander furiously. "Never sacrifice your life!" She shouted sternly. Xander looked at Ariana and pursed his lips. "All you'll do is cause her more pain, especially when I can't bring anyone back from the dead." Ariana growled. Xander flinched and sub consciously looked at Roland. "I swear, I will do everything but give up my life." He said reluctantly.

Ariana then turned to look at Roland. "The one who caused this is looking for me specifically. I saw their underground laboratory. They are experimenting and brainwashing the captured citizens. So become angry, find vengeance, find your will to live when all is said and done then look for your punishment but right now is not the time." Ariana said causing Roland's eyes to round. "Vengeance?" "Vengeance. Against the church against Lord Romanoff then against me. If I never existed this would have never happened." Ariana said with a self mocking smile. "I would," Roland started to say but then he furrowed his brows and balled his fists. "Good." Ariana sighed in relief. "I can see the fight in you eyes." She continued. She then turned around and watched as the carriage started to collapse.

"War is coming and nothing will stop it from coming." Ariana said as she opened up her wings. "Ariana?" Edlyn called out. "So this where we must part." Ariana continued. "You can't!" Edlyn shouted as she struggled against Xander's embrace.

"Please take care." Ariana said as she turned and gave Edlyn a bittersweet smile. "No!" Edlyn shouted. "Good-bye." Ariana said before she shot up into the air and disappeared. "Ariana!" Edlyn screamed into the air but Ariana kept flapping her wings.

'Is it wise?' Aroha asked. "I made my choice, I can't put them in more danger." Ariana said as she flew further and further away from the burning carriage. 'Leave with a scene.' Vasu said causing a wicked smile to spread across Ariana's face. "No that's an idea." She said as dipped down towards the city. "Duko." Ariana called out. Duko cautiously floated next to her. "Help me find empty buildings." Ariana asked.

Duko's hair stood on end. 'Why?!' He shouted in a panic. "Rahul." Ariana called out, completely ignoring Duko's question. Rahul came forward and his eyes sparkled with mischief. 'Yes?' He replied with a soft purr. "Every building that Duko points out, set it on fire." Ariana said as she slowed down her flapping and landed on the roof on a tall building. 'WHAT?!' Every Luma shouted except Vasu and Rahul. 'Gladly.' Rahul said as he changed and stood beside Ariana proudly. 

His skin started to change colour as he readied is breath. Ariana glanced at Rahul and laughed. "So you are not going to question me?" Ariana asked. Rahul spit out two fireballs into each hand. "Why should I? I already decided to be with you to the very end. So there is no room for doubt." Rahul said as his eyes changed from neon red into white with black irises. 

Ariana' eyes widened, Rahul was now a fine looking man with fair skin. His fair skin was littered with stripped tattoos from the tips of his clawed hands to the base of his neck, then reappeared on his forehead and around the outer edges of his eyes. He had thin lips, almond shaped eyes and long, flowing back hair that reached down to his knees. 

He looked young with his strong nose and jaw line but his clothes made him look slightly wild and bad tempered. He wore a blood red hanfu with black, gold and white embroidery. Tigers and flame coloured, spider lilies decorated his hanfu. Wrapped around the hanfu looked like a very long and thick tiger tail. The tip moved periodically as of it was a live. While a set of tiger ears sat on his head, his right ear flicked every few seconds as if itching to get started. 

'I have them, the buildings you're looking for.' Duko said reluctantly causing Ariana to break her stare from Rahul. "Let's get started." Ariana said as Duko changed into a giant wolf. "Lead the way."
