Chapter 102 - To All A Familiar Part 2

Thor started to tremble as he tried to retreat further into Edlyn's embrace. 'Mama!' He cried. Edlyn tightened her embrace and bowed to the Headmaster. "Yes with Thor be-com-ing my fam-ili-ar there will be no more rain st-orms in the Capi-tal." The Headmaster watched as she raised her head. "Yes, I believe you are right.... Now that everything has settled why don't we continue the Summoning Ceremony after lunch." He said then walked towards the school.

Edlyn sighed, her knees started to buckle and she was going down. Xander moved to catch Edlyn and Thor took the opportunity to meet his daddy. Vera and Isabelle ran up to them while the other third years were busying themselves with helping out their own first years. "Ariana... were you talking to Edlyn's familiar?!" Vera whispered as loudly as she could. Ariana automatically started to shake her head no. Vera eyed her and Isabelle tried to remove the baby Thunderbird from Xander's shoulders. 'Daddy! Daddy! I'm scared!' He cried as his claws dug into Xanders shoulders. "Thor let him go!" Edlyn cried as she saw how terrified he was.

'Mama, there are so many scary people! I just want to be with you and daddy why can't the scary people leave me alone.' He cried as he let out a tiny, pitiful squeak of a roar. "Vera... I'm sorry but please let it go." Ariana said as she couldn't watch the scene anymore. "Thor! Look your mommy is so sad! You are giving daddy too much attention and not enough to your mommy." Ariana shouted as she hugged Edlyn and stroked the side of her head. Thor stopped crying and looked at the girls. 'Mom-mom-mommy?' He said as he sniffed back his tears.

"Look your mommy is so sad, she needs some baby love." Ariana said with a pitiful voice then placed a kiss on Edlyn's cheek. Thor instantly released Xander's shoulders and flew towards the girls. 'Mommy!' He yelled as Ariana released Edlyn. 'Mommy needs kisses!' He shouted as Edlyn caught him. "Gentle, gentle, careful with your claws." Edlyn said as Thor positioned his snout next to her face. He pressed his snout a couple of times on to her cheek but didn't look satisfied, then he opened up his mouth and a small pink tongue moved up Edlyn's cheek. Edlyn laughed as a chill ran down her body. "That tickles!" She shouted.

Thor's face lit up as his eyes sparkled with excitement. 'Mommy! Mommy needs kisses!' He shouted in between licks. Ariana could feel her heart melt when she saw the two of them bonding. Vasu suddenly appeared in front of her face and looked at her with a scrunched up brows. 'Master...' He said and Ariana couldn't help but laugh. She quickly grabbed Vasu and started to plant kisses all over his face. "You're so cute Vasu! I love you!" She laughed as she continued to kiss him. 'Mommy, mommy, mommy! What is love?' Thor asked and Edlyn looked at Ariana. Her face quickly turned red when she mouthed the words. "Do not dare!" Ariana flashed her a wicked smile and opened her mouth. Edlyn quickly turned and ran off with Thor in her arms.

"Xander you should get your shoulders looked at." Isabelle said as she tried to take Xander's coat off. He yanked it from Isabelle's hands and gave her a cold glare. "I will." He said courtly them started to walk away. "Xander, I think Edlyn needs to see the nurse too. Honestly I think we will all need to see the nurse if we don't heat up our bodies soon. We might catch a cold and mess up the Summoning Ceremony." Some first years quickly collected their familiars and ran towards the bathhouse. Xander paused before he turned completely around and chased after Edlyn.

Ariana watched happily as Xander chased after Edlyn. With a happy sigh she turned around and caught sight of Callista slapping Isabelle across the face. "Remember your place when touching my husband." She hissed as she looked at Isabelle's tearful face. "He was injured and needed medical attention." Isabelle said defensively but Callista just turned away. "I never knew Xander was married... funny he never mentioned a wife before." Ariana said coolly as she walked up to Callista. "How dare you question the truth! Everyone knows this and stays away from my husband! Everyone except that slutty b*tch!" Callista yelled. Ariana let out a small laugh. "He did mention a fiancee that his parents arranged... though... he said he never formally accepted the engagement. Something about a pending decision."

Callista turned bright red and raised her hand. Ariana caught her wrist mid air. She let go of Vasu, raised her own hand and slapped Callista on both cheeks. Callista hissed and was ready to tear a new one in Ariana when she got slapped a few more times. Blood started to leak out the corner of her mouth as her cheeks started to swell. "Bow bare boo." She said but Ariana looked at her with disdainful eyes and released her wrist. "Don't place yourself in a position that you have not claimed and.... never disrespected my friend again. Unless you want your tongue cut out by accident."

"Ab boo breatening be?" Callista said as she narrowed her gaze. "My goodness no, just a warning. I know how your maybe fiance's temperament is like and I wouldn't want to see his temper flare up. I mean he should spare you for hurting her mentor since I slapped you and maybe not do anything since you openly insulted Edlyn.... So do still think I'm threatening you?" Ariana said as she looked into Callista's eyes, daring her to speak up. Callista swallowed back saliva and blood which made her stomach turn. "Well Callista? What I just did, do you think it was wrong?"

Callista shook her head no. "Sorry I don't understand." Ariana said with a sneer. "Bank boo fob bobbebting by bays!" She shouted and Ariana beamed with happiness. "Your welcome Callista!" Ariana said as she walked back to Vera. "Now let's get going to the bathhouse so we can get cleaned up." She said as she hooked Vera's arm. 'Oh don't forget to get looked at by the nurse..... Isabelle." Ariana shouted back cheerfully. Callista started to grind her teeth as she watched Ariana walk away.
