Chapter 103 - To All A Familiar Part 3

After visiting the bathhouse, the girls sat down to lunch. "What a morning!" Halina exclaimed as her swam looked at her unladylike behavior. 'Master please sit up straight.' Halina slumped into her hands and groaned. "Ophelia please not now." But the swan started to pull at her clothes, trying her best to straighten up Halina's posture. 'Sit up, back straight, elbows off the table, knees together, legs at a 45 degree angle.' She said and Halina did her best to fix her faults. Ariana tried her best to ignore Ophelia but she couldn't hide her smile. "Halina you always wanted to be more lady like right." Ariana teased but Halina rolled her eyes. "Yes but not like this!" Halina cried but Ophelia kept correcting her.

While Talisha was happily feeding strawberries to her little boar who she named Bacon. Everything was going well until Flint started calling everyones attention. "There is a change in plans." He began to say and the room turned eerily silent. "First years with familiars you are to stay with you mentors and learn to control and bond with your partners. Classes will be cancelled this afternoon." He said as he flashed a prince like smile. The girls except Ariana and Edlyn started to go wild. Flint brought up his hand and ran it through his slick comb over, tousled hair. His medium fringe stayed in place as his platinum hair moved between his fingers with an air of sexiness.

Ariana felt physically sick and Edlyn was not going to let her move around by herself. "Thank you for your understanding. First years please be at the auditorium in 15 minutes." Flint said as he locked his sights on Ariana. She felt a disgusted shiver run down her body and she pushed away her tray. "Not hungry anymore." She complained and started to get up. Edlyn quickly got up too. "Eldyn where are you going?" Halina asked as Talisha stopped feeding Bacon. "I want to watch." She said brightly. "I do not think the Student Council will let you in, since you have a familiar."

Edlyn looked at Talisha and gave her a small chuckle. "They did not say I could not go. Just a rec-ommen-da-tion." She replied. Talisha started to smile as she collected Bacon. "Right on ya! I mean... cough... yes as roommates we should get along properly." She said then got up, Halina got the hint and quickly moved. "Right so let's give our support!" She shouted and Ophelia quickly nipped her soft spots. "Ow okay! Fine already! Let us give our full support." Halina said bluntly and it seemed to satisfy Ophelia.

They walked out of the mess hall and headed for the auditorium. "Excuse me but where do you think you're going?"

The girls turned around and saw Ms. Hadley. She had her usual stern face on and arms crossed over her chest. "I asked where are you going?" She said in a harsher tone. The girls started to shrink back as Ariana stepped forward. "They want to come with me to offer their support." Ariana said as she stared down Ms. Hadley. "Did the Student Council President not make a clear enough announcement? Only students without familiars are to go to the auditorium. Your mentors should be waiting for the three of you."

"Ms. Had-ley, I do not want Ariana to go a-lone!" Edlyn said as she hugged Thor against her body. "This is out of my control. The Student Council has made the proclamation and I can not bend the rules for one student. However… I know that Mr. Dabney has been looking for Ariana. I do not mind escorting you to the auditorium and handing you over to Mr. & Mrs. Dabney after the Ceremony has been completed." Edlyn let out a giant sigh of relief and turned to Ariana. "I need to sp-eak with Mrs. Dabney too so wait for me in the in-fir-mar-y. I will come p-ick you up." Edlyn said with a small nod.

"Alright." Ariana replied just as Ms. Hadley stepped around her. "Hurry up! I do not have all day." She said coolly and walked off. Ariana looked at the girls before chasing after Ms. Hadley. "I'll see you later!" She shouted happily as she ran backwards. "Bye!" The shouted back. Ariana turned around and caught up to Ms. Hadley. "I can't offer up blood." Ariana said bluntly as her smiling face slowly shifted into a poker face. "I figured with your… blood line." Ms. Hadley responded as she slowed down her pace. "What do you suggest I do? Edlyn is loved by magical creatures and look what happened. I don't know what my summoning might bring."

"I think I have come up with a plan but I will need your co-operation." Ms. Hadley replied. "Mmmmh. Is that why you were in the mess hall today?" Ariana said as a cat like smile appeared on her face. "I was there because the breakfast was decent today but lunch was far below expectations." Ms. Hadley said as her face turned slightly green. Ariana laughed. "That's because I haven't taught them anything for lunch yet. Just breakfast, mind you I wasn't expecting them to use the scone recipe right away." Ms. Hadley gave the tiniest of smiles to Ariana. She looked angelic from just a small smile, she wondered how beautiful Ms. Hadley would look when she smiled whole heartedly.

"So that's why. Well please educate the ladies well. I don't think I can tolerate their food now that I tasted something more palatable." Ms. Hadley said before she pulled out a small koi patterned handkerchief. She passed it to Ariana as they continued to walk. Ariana giggled over the cute handkerchief causing Ms. Hadley to blush. "Inside is a pill! Eat it quickly before anyone notices." She hissed. Ariana pulled back the first layer and saw a rather large, navy blue pill with white swirls. Ariana took the pill and popped it into her mouth, swallowing without hesitation.

"You won't question me?" Ms. Hadley asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Should I?" Ariana responded and instantly felt her body turn cold. "Don't worry it's a magically blood suppressant. It has been tested and used before but I have modified within the last three years. It should be perfect now, no side effects." Ms. Hadley said matter-of-factly. "Why would you need something like that?" Ariana asked in surprise. Ms. Hadley went silent and just kept walking. As they got closer to the auditorium. "There are no washroom brakes during the Ceremony. You are grown woman and should know what to do so not to interrupt the proceedings! Oh word of caution the washroom closets to the entrance, there is a stall that is absolutely horrid! Stay away from it." She said in a brash tone and picked up her pace.
