Chapter 6 - The Guess Game (2)

Name:My Ghostly Romance Author:Poisonlily
"Argh!" Chen Gao screamed in pain.

He never felt this kind of pain when he was still alive and even when he turned into a vengeful ghost.

He still couldn't understand why was this happening to him and why was he in so much. It seems that he forgot that once a ghost took over someone else's body, the pain that the body was feeling will also be felt by the ghost possessing it.

He didn't learn of this information since he was a newborn ghost and was proud of himself. He was extremely arrogant that he bullied other ghosts and when he learned how to use a body, he found a way to relieve his anger by targeting young women.

During his time when he was still alive, Chen Gao was a manager of a small talent agency. He took care of a female group consisting of four ladies.

At first, his job as a manager was great. However, when one of the ladies in the group had a scandal, he was the one who had to take the brunt of the case and his salary was decreased. He could barely keep up with his monthly bills and daily food supply.

His girlfriend found a wealthy man and left him. Even his family who had been so proud of him for graduating from the top-second university in the Capital turned their backs on him.

With no one to turn to and the society looking at him as good-for-nothing trash, Chen Gao took his own life.

But who knew that once he opened his eyes, he turned into a ghost. At first, he didn't know what was going on and how to use any of his abilities to possess anyone. However, only after a few weeks, he could finally do it.

And he found the perfect vessel.

It was the son of an assemblyman who was popular with the ladies and had a good-looking face. He was also such a scumbag for targeting elementary girls but because of his father, he got away every single time.

Driven by his hatred towards young women as they were the reason why he had to kill himself, Chen Gao decided to take the body of that man and started to take the lives of his victims, making them experience a painful death.

He thought that he could continue doing his killings since the city he went to has lots of young females living in it.

Unfortunately, he didn't know that someone fearsome was living in this city because if he had known, he would've avoided it.

Looking at him clutching his dislocated arm, Yang Mi's lips twisted in distaste. She lazily stepped forward and Chen Gao took a step backward. He almost fell on the ground again as his legs turned into jelly with fear.

"Why? Why are you doing this? You're a fellow ghost right?" He finally noticed the translucent form of the beautiful white-haired woman before him. "You should know why I'm doing this. These abominable humans are so disgusting that they shouldn't be allowed to laugh!" He roared desperately with grief.

"Aren't you a human yourself?" Yang Mi stopped and tilted her head in question. "I mean not anymore since you died and became a ghost but you were, right? So, that makes you abominable and disgusting too."

"No, I'm not!" Chen Gao immediately refuted her words. "I'm not one of them! I'm a proper human who suffered under these monsters borrowing a human's skin. They're the one who is in the wrong!"

Chen Gao cried. He continued to force his belief on Yang Mi so she could understand where he was coming from.

And she did. She understood everything so well since she experienced it once before.

Humans have been selfish in their own ways that they could drag anyone for their benefits. It doesn't matter if they're kin or just some strangers, anyone would do anything to survive. An ugly truth but it was still the reality of this world. No one could change it since it's already part of the order of the world and became the normal.

Any chances that this concept changes, it was only because it was forced or simply a distant dream.

However, Yang Mi wasn't there that night to lecture Chen Gao on how to accept reality or on how to become more human.

She was there to punish him for ruining the order in her territory and leaving crumpled bodies in his wake.

"You say humans are monsters. And what a murderer like you should be? A saint? A judge? Or perhaps, a God?" Yang Mi's voice rang loudly in his ears. Her words pierced him so hard that he was unable to counter her words.

He couldn't find himself to open his mouth as a vicious pressure was keeping it shut and the way her voice was transmitted in his ears sounded like a curse.

"Well, flash news. You're neither. You're nothing but a speck of dirt in my territory which I have to get rid of." Yang Mi continued to speak and her feet moved towards him.

Her eyes that were already red from the start was beginning to glow. It was a dark red but shone so bright that it could chill anyone's body when they caught sight of it.

Just as Yang Mi was three steps away from him, the sound of the door opening entered her ears.

The soft footfalls that soon came after confused her as no one should be here. This place was an abandoned house and no one would come here unless Chen Gao had an accomplice who came to join him in his activity.

Seeing that she was momentarily distracted with something, Chen Gao took this moment to grab her by the throat.

And in time, the third person who came turned to a corner and ended up in the same place as Yang Mi and Cheng Gao.

With his gun pointed forward, the man paused in his steps at the sight before him.

This man was no other than Kaisar.
