48 That Was Nice Of You

"I'm sorry Sakura. I've been testing your sample for ten times. The result still shows positive." Akiko, one of her friends, which is also a skilled doctor from Arendell tell her the bad news that she really do not want to hear it.

"H..How long do I have?"

"Around four to five more years."

"The baby…"

"Well, I can make her cure and if she continues to take it, I think she'll be totally free from the disease when she reached her middle school. But, Sakura-san..the price.."

"I don't care about the price. You name it. I'll get it to you." Her tears start to flow down her cheek.

"Sakura-san, you know that you only had…"

"I know. It's okay..all I want is she can be healthy as others child. Please keep monitoring her when I was no longer can. I beg of you Akiko-san.." She kneels on the floor begging her.

Akiko immediately stands up and help her to stand up again. "Sakura-san, please..don't do this. I will take care of her even if you didn't ask." She hugs her tightly.

"Dear..did you hear me?" Kenji who just finish his bath asks his wife when he saw her staring at the ceiling blankly.

"Huh?" She turns her head around and looks at him with a loss in thought.

"Did something happen?" He sits at the edge of the bed and caresses her cheek.

She immediately shakes her head. "No, nothing."

"Why you look trouble since you return this evening and you keep spacing out while I was talking to you. Tell me, are you hiding something from me?"

"Erm, no.."

Sighing, he doesn't want to force her. "Okay."

After he changes his clothes to his night attire, he went to bed and lay beside her.

"Erm...Ken...Can I return to Calestical City until I give birth?" After some thought, she decides that she want to be alone for the time being.

"Why? Why so sudden?" He immediately sits up on the bed and turns on the bed light.

"I…I want to at least calm down so that I can give birth with peaceful. Please?"

"Darling, it's not that I oppose what you want. But I worried when you there alone without me. Especially you are now carrying my child. I know you can handle yourself, but…I really want you to stay beside me. Give birth in here. I can accommodate you with a high-class suite in whatever hospital you want." He tries to persuade her to change her mind.

"Ken..please…if it's about the doctor, my friend, Akiko-san will be there as my doctor and you also know how skillful she is, right? If you worried about me, you can assign as much servant there to take care of me. It won't be long. I promise you." She also tries to convince him. She really needs time alone to think about her own condition.

With a heavy heart, he finally nods his head.

They part away until she giving birth to Risa. At three months first, everything is fine. Risa affected with her illness, but as Akiko promise, she makes a cure for her. She needs to take her medicine regularly. As for her, she can only feed herself with medicine, so that she can prolong her life for a little bit longer.

After a few years, the effect of the medicine start shown when she had no interest in having sex, her emotions are up and down and she often lost her temper when she's with Kenji. She didn't even say a word about her illness to Kenji.

Everything becomes more worst when another wave of news about Kenji being caught by the paparazzi when he and Saya both in the hotel room. Saya is a widow with a daughter from her previous marriages, she has longed for Kenji since she was married to her ex-husband.

She starts to 'fall in love' with Kenji when she knew about his situation, where his wife often not around in Japan. She seduced him so many times and attempt to him with her looks and sexy figures.

"Let's have a divorce.." Sakura says with a serious face. She comes back to Japan when she heard about the news. Knowing her situation, she thought it will be okay if she wants to end her marriages with him. At least, he can lead a happy life with another woman, and maybe that woman can care for her daughter after she's gone.

Shocked by what he heard, he grabs her hand and brings her to his office room. He was surprised enough when seeing her at the entrance with a lot of workers looking at her way which look messy. She's a bit thinner than before, her face looks rather sunken and her hair also in mess.

With their daughter, she waits for him at the entrance and once she saw him, she says about divorce in front of his worker.

Close the door, he turns to his wife with a confused face.

"What is this about? If it is about the news, I tell you there is nothing between us! I help her to get to her room that day. It just a misunderstanding. They make it a big issue so that they can have material for their job!"

"It doesn't matter. I want a divorce! I can't live like this anymore!" She once again lost her temper.

While Risa already runs and hide behind the big sofa. Close her ears with both of her hand.

"Sakura, please..just tell me what the hell is wrong with you? Why did you change so drastically? You're not being yourself right now. There's no way I would divorce you." He holds both of her shoulders. Try to ask her what makes her think that way.

"I..I don't love you anymore Kenji..just let me go. I want to live my own life." She wipes her tears with her back of hands.

"No! Definitely no!" He shakes his head. Not wanting to be separate with her.

"I can't even be here with you. Can you see that I lost interest to you? I…" It feels like tearing up her own heart. She squeezes her hand on her chest.

"Even so, I still love you and I wouldn't divorce you. That's it! Maybe you should return back home and think about this once more. Sakura that I know is so in love with me, there's no way she would say something like this. Even we have fought so many times, she would not be letting me go. Not even a breakup! So you better return back to my Sakura again." He said firmly and facing the huge glass window.

Not having any word more to says, she went to the sofa and grab Risa's hand before she goes to the airport. She didn't intend to stay at their house in her state right now. Not when she knows she might tell him about her illness and her daughter's situation.

A few months have passed. Kenji still not visiting her and not even mentioning about the divorce. The rumor about him having scandal also start to fade away. He did his best to not involve in any scandal anymore.

When he thought everything will fall back to its original state, once again their marriage has been wavered by the storm.

Saya comes to north of Calestical City. She went to Sakura's mansion. Meeting her personally. She told her about her feeling toward Kenji and how she intends to get married to him.

To the thought that Sakura maybe will mad or yelled at her, but she was rather calm.

While Risa's was playing not far away from them, she looks at the woman in front of her.

"If you want my husband that badly, then makes him fall for you."

"Uh..why'd you so open about this? Your reaction is calm." She makes a pure expression.

"Aren't you saying that you love my husband since you worked at his company? If you can make him happy, then why would I be mad about it? I really hope you can make him happy in the future."

"Well, that was nice of you.."

"But..you know that he had a daughter with me, right? You can have him, but my daughter will be the true heir of his company. Are you aware of that?"

"Uhm..yeah...I don't intend to meddle with his business about the heritage things." She smiles in front of Sakura while she was so annoyed inwardly.

"That's good then. Because half of his asset is on my name, and soon will be my daughter. So you better stay put as his 'wife' only and do not meddle with the heritage matter."

"I understood. Thank you for your understanding and support." She stands up and ready to leave the house.

After she was gone, Sakura cry as much as she can. How can she have that courage to say things like that? To the one who obviously will snatch her love from her grasp.

And that's where Risa saw everything. Her mother was so in pain because of his father's doing.
