41 I Still Your Lawful Fiance

The next morning, Feng Xiu Ming already prepare the breakfast for her family.

Xue Mei also helps her in the kitchen because she wakes up early in the morning. They had a lively breakfast today.

After breakfast, Xui Li takes his Deuter backpack and his car key. Xue Mei also brings her luggage and went to the living hall after that.

Xui Li went to her mother and kiss her cheek. "I'll be back after I send her."

"Mm. Be careful on the road. Remember you bring someone daughter with you. Don't drive too fast." She reminds her son.

After Xui Li, Xue Mei also hugs Feng Xiu Ming. "Thank you for letting me stay the night here."

Xue Mei did not understand, but she still smiles to her politely.

"Don't worry about Elle, we'll treat her here. After you returned Xui Li will bring her back to your dorm. It'll be an inconvenience if you bring your cat along for a long way traveling." Feng Li Min pats on Xue Mei's shoulder while Feng Li Jing holding Elle in her arm.

Feng Li Min and Feng Li Jing also hug her and tease their little brother before they go.

While Feng Li Jun just remind his boy to be careful while driving and call him if he needs anything.

They drive off from the mansion at 8.30 AM.

Inside the car, Xue Mei keeps smiling and that makes Xui Li glance at her a bit.

"What's so funny?"

Turning her head to him, she says "No..your family..they were so…cheerful."

"We always like that.its normal for us since we have a big family." Xui Li said.

"Mm? It makes me think, isn't all rich people with high status will be a bit snobbish?"

"Well, my family originally from a middle class. But then my father starts to build his own company and my mother also takes a step to help him and they support each other to the higher place together. With that, this is their achievement today. So I was raised within a normal environment as other peoples do."

"I really admire your family."

Xue Mei smile and says. "I want to be Mrs. Zheng."

He chuckles and nods his head. They start to enter the highway to Calestical City.

A few hours driving, Xui Li finally make a rest stop at the small town. They exit the highway and find a local restaurant there.

After they get out of the car, he stretching a bit.

"Okay, I'm famished..let see what we have here." He said casually and led her to the restaurant.

While eating, Xue Mei looks at her phone. She already texts her mother that she'll be late than it supposed to be and she doesn't need to fetch her at the bus station.

"What's wrong?" Xui Li asks when he notices she keep looking at the phone.

"Nothing. We have one and a half day to arrives. I've been thinking where we should sleep for tonight."

"Oh don't worry. You can sleep while I'm driving." He continues to eat his portion.

"Xui Li..you already drive for hours..let us just stop at the near town and take a rest before we go again tomorrow." She feels a bit worry when Xui Li said he wants to drive. He already tired, if something happens it'll be dangerous for both of them.

"Didn't you wanna see your parent so badly? I thought you must be missing them so bad right? If we have to stop you'll need more hour to meet your parents." He smiles at her.

"Erm..what if…I drive when you're tired?" She tries to give a suggestion.

"Eh? You can drive?"

"Hey.. even though I was from the countryside, I know how to drive, okay! I even have a license." She rolled her eyes to him.

"Oh? That's great then..you drive after this and I'll sleep and after I wake up, I take over. Deal?" He ruffles her hair a little before he continues to eat again.

"Okay."

After finish eating, they went back to his car. Xui Li gives her his key and went to the passenger seat. While Xue Mei went to the driver seat. She adjusting the back mirror and the sides mirror before she steps on the gas.

Just a little push, the car starts to go fast.

"Easy Xue Mei..take your time to adjust the mood." Xui Li at the side smiles a bit.

"Erm...Sorry...I was not used to driving this kind of car. It was so different from my family car." She said while focusing on the road.

"After we enter the highway back, you can test it out. Try to speed up at the right lane. But, be careful." He crossing his hand on his chest.

"You shouldn't encourage me, you know..I'm afraid that my racer inner will take over me."

Both of them chuckles. "Then, let me see your racer inner."

"You can discharge this evening. Yeay!" Ren Zhi tries to cheer up Jiang Ying Yue who still looking at the outside of the window, spacing out.

"Oh." She stands up and went to the closet, she takes out her clothes and went to the bathroom. Want to change her attire.

"She's returned to her country. So I can't see her for the next three week. Xui Li also had a tour on that day since he got the first prize for his performance."

"Come on…you're the only friend I had left.." He tries to convince her.

Sighing, she turns her head to the outside of the window.

"So we're going to an island. Meanwhile, let me check on you every day so that you can eat a proper meal until your parents returned home."

"No. Thank you. I can take care of my self, you know."

"No, you can't. Just let me take care of you. After all, I still your lawful fiance right?"
