43 A Man Whore?!

Knock! Knock!

"Yueyue..are you okay?" Ren Zhi knock on her door when he heard a clattering sound from the inside of the room.

No reply from her makes him a bit worried. He asks the butler of the house to bring him a spare key.

Open up her room, he saw her room was in a messy and she was on the floor flipping her things on the floor likes she was looking for something.

Grab her hand, he squatted down and look at her face which is wet with tears.

"Yueyue, what's wrong? Did you need something?" He asks with a gentle voice.

"I can't sleep. I need my pill. I need to get sleep. I had a banquet party tomorrow...I can't sleep." She said with a trembling voice. Her emotions were mixed and her tears don't wanna stop flowing.

Bring her head to his chest, he tries to calm her down. "It's okay. You don't need the pills. Calm down, okay? I stay at your side until you fall asleep. Maybe we can talk and you can tell me what makes you hard to fall asleep?"

She shakes her head. Not agree with his suggestion. "N..no..I want to be alone..you should go Ren..don't make me more miserable than this."

"I won't go." He helps her to stand up and went to her bed.

"I just need my pills."

"No, you don't. Come here." He pats on the bed and he also sits on the bed.

Standing there for a minute she finally gives up and lay down on the bed. She turns her body around and covers her body with the comforter while Ren sat on the bed beside her.

"Yueyue..do you have any problem that you can't tell anyone?" He tries to dig up her problem.

She was silent.

"You know, if you feel like you can't tell your family, you have me, right? Well, at least I can act as your fiance and try to solve your problem. Is there something happen to you?

"N..no.."

Sighing, he says again "It's okay if you don't want to tell me now. Just remember that you can always tell me anything, anytime. I ready to hear it out."

"Mm." She closes her eyes and tries to sleep.

As he said, she really doesn't need a pill to get to sleep. She falls asleep in instant after Ren Zhi's talk to her with a gentle tone.

Adjusting the temperature in her room, he turns to look at her after that.

"What makes you to this miserable, Yueyue? Just what on earth that person do to you?" He said with curiosity and went to clean up her things on the floor before he turns off the nightstand lamp and leave the room.

9:30 PM.

Finally, they reach her hometown.

It was dark with only a few lamp pole at the side of the road. Xue Mei was the one who driving right now after they exchange at the rest stop two hours earlier.

Xui Li keep looking at the outside of the window. "The mist is quite thick, eh?"

"Yeah, we near the valley that's why at night it's quite cold outside." She already pumps up when they nearing her house. Excited and happy.

"Xue Mei..is that…." He focuses his eyes on the right side of the car.

She also looks at the right and after seeing it, she smiles.

"It's a firefly."

"Oh wow! Seriously, I like your hometown already. Even at night there still had beautiful scenery here."

She chuckles to hear that. If Xui Li already this excited, she wonders what will Ren Zhi's reaction when he comes here later.

In 10 minutes, they arrive at the front of the two-storey house. She rummages her bag and takes out a small remote control to open the gates before she drives inside the house courtyard. The house design is quite beautiful for a village area.

"Okay. We've arrived." She parks at the front of the courtyard before she closes back the gates by the remote control.

"Xue Mei, aren't you saying that you are from an ordinary family?" He asks.

"Hm? Yeah. What's wrong?" She blinks her eyes to him.

"But, your house is quite modern than other houses I see along the village."

"Oh..that because, my dad is an architect, so he design this house and build it." She wants to open the door and immediately Xui Li grabs her arm gently.

"Wait, wait..didn't you say that your dad just a salaryman?"

"Hm? Yeah. He was an architect before and because he needs to travel a lot, he decides to quit his old job and just be a salaryman at the town."

"O..oh.." He nods his head and releases her arm.

Once both of them get out of the car, the front door was open by her mother and father.

"Meimei?!" She went to her daughter and hug her.

Shen Wang Wei follows behind her wife and stops after they both were in hugging mode. He looks at the yellow spot car before he turns to the passenger side door and looks at the guy who wore a sweater and had a wavy shoulder-length hair.

"Erm, nice to meet you, sir. I'm Xui Li.." Xui Li feel a bit awkward when her father gazed at him like he was a thief.

"Ah! Dad, this is my friend. Xui Li." Xue Mei immediately releases her mother hug and went to her father.

"Erm...Come inside. It's quite cold now." Shen Wang Wei said after his daughter say that he is her friend.

He turns to his wife and both of them went inside the house. While Xue Mei and Xui Li take out the bag and luggage from the trunk and follow them to the house.

"Sorry, Xui Li..our home is a bit messy." Shen Ming Yi said politely when they both went inside the house.

Shake his head, he smiles to Xue Mei's mother. "No, ma'am. Instead, this is a quite beautiful house you have here. I like the design from the outside and to more surprise, the interior design also makes me amazed by just looking at it."

Wang Wei feels a bit proud of himself a bit after hearing Xui Li's compliment.

Xue Mei did not say anything. She went to the family hall and look for her grandmother.

"Granny!!" She jumps happily to her when she found her granny was lazying around at the couch watching drama soap.

"Oh, you noisy girl already return home, huh?" She said with a bit loud. She had a little bit hearing problem and Xue Mei usually likes to prank her grandmother.

"Granny~ guess what! Guess What! I bring a man home." She said.

Both of her parents and Xui Li also went to the family hall.

"Huh?! A man whore?!" She was so surprised by what he heard.

Xui Li bumps her head at the door frame between the entrance and the family hall. That makes her mother immediately help Xui Li to stand up again while her father glare at her daughter.

Xue Mei laughs so hard with her grandmother reaction.

"Oh! What a handsome whore you brought home. Is it a gift to me?" She smiles at Xui Li.

Xui Li's face turns a bit pale while Xue Mei continues to laugh so hard.

Feeling a bit embarrassed with her daughter attitude, he coughed a bit.

"Mom. He's not a whore. He's our guest for tonight." Wang Wei said with a bit firm voice before he turns to glare at his daughter again.

"Oh~" She turns to Xue Mei and pinches her thigh.

"Have you both eaten yet? If not, I heat up the dinner for you two." She smiles at him.
