105 Don't Cry. I'm Here.

Hearing a buzzing sound from his phone, he looks at the screen before he frowned upon seeing the sender name.

He slides open the message she sent. 'Are you still awake?'

He replies with 'Yup.'

Then another pop up came after that. 'Are you busy tomorrow?'

'Kinda.'

'Oh, okay then. Sorry to disturb you. Good night.'

'Good night.'

He replies to her with a short text. He was still angry with her. Why did she need to repeat the same mistake? She knew that Ren will never prioritize her first, and yet she still stubbornly in love with him. What that he lacks to be her boyfriend?

That is why he decided, if that really what she wants, then he let her. She didn't even ask him why he turns sour with her, why they never talk after she gets back with Ren. He also distances himself from Ren Zhi. Because it only makes him hurt to see his winning face.

Xue Mei shut her eyes and toss her phone on her bed. She feels slightly offend by Xui Li short text. It's like he really doesn't want to be friend with her anymore.

Not having a choice, she could only go there by taxi and no one will accompany her.

'That's okay. I'm an independent girl. I can do it.' She tries to cheer up.

The next day.

"Okay, Miss Shen. Your ankle is fully recovered now. You can walk like before, but make sure not to broke it again." The doctor tries to humor her.

Chuckling, she nods her head. "Alright, doctor."

"Be sure to eat properly and consume more calcium in the future."

"Okay." She stands up and bows her head a little before she slowly went out of the examination room.

She went to the outpatient counter, waiting for her bill to pay up. While she waiting, she feels like she wants to visit Ha Eun and maybe it was a good time to tell Ren that she already know about Ha Eun condition.

Pay the bill, she went to the Oncology Department afterward.

When she wants to knock on the door, she unintentionally heard their conversation.

"Does it hurt?" Ren holds Ha Eun hand and rubs at the back of her hand.

"Mm.." She furrows her eyebrow intensely.

"Just a lil bit, hold on." He said softly.

"Hey, do you have any silly wish you've thought to do?" He continues again try to distract her from the pain.

"Mm..I..do." She tries to smile a bit.

"Mhm? What is it? I can make it come true."

Chuckles, she said, "I don't think you can."

"Why? Tell me, what is your wish?"

"Mm...When I was a teenager, I always dream about you and me. After graduating, we will get marry and have a lot of children. Live happily ever after. But now, it all only a dream. It can never be true." there's a hidden grieve in her voice tone that both Ren and Xue Mei who is behind the door can sense it.

Xue Mei knows it is such a beautiful dream which every girl will dream about it with the one they love. But at the situation right now, she was sure Ren can't make it happen.

Just when she thought about the impossible, Ren suddenly voices out.

"Then, let's get married after we graduate."

Like has been struck by the lightning, Xue Mei standing straight and her face clearly pale.

'Wait, did I hear it wrong?!'

"What?" Ha Eun scrunches her eyebrow to hear again his reply.

"I said, let's get married after we graduate." He repeated it again.

Xue Mei closes her eyes. 'He really said that.'

"But Xue Mei.."

"I'll talk to her. I know she would understand."

Running her finger to her hair, she silently walks away from the room. Leaving the hospital.

"Thank you, Brother Xui Li," Clarissa said once they were out from Dreamland store.

"It's nothing. Normally art student will come here to buy a lot of material at this store." He said in a gentle tone.

A grumbling sound from the sky makes the two of them look up at the sky.

"It's going to rain heavily today." Xui Li said.

"Erm...I should go back now. Do you want to share a ride with me?" Clarissa offers him. She had a car that her father provides for her.

Shake her head, he said. "I ride my bike. Thanks for the offer."

"Okay, see you at the dorm." She went into the car and wave him goodbye before she drives off from the store.

Take his helmet, he wears it and revs his motorbike handle.

It heavy rain downpour at the outside of the hospital building. Without thinking, she walks under the rain and went loitering with no direction.

She hugs her body with both of her hand secure around her arm, she subconsciously sobbing while she walking.

'Understand? Of course, I will understand! But that's not the point for you to use it as you like! Marrying her is not like having her as your second girlfriend!' She keeps screaming inside her heart.

Feeling angry and betrayed.

'Why? Why it's so hard to walk away from this man!!'

She stops at the bridge. Under the bridge is the river that is deep and dark. She turns her body to look at the river water at the edge of the bridge wall.

'If only I could vanish. I don't want this to happen in my life. I'm so fed up. I give up. If he doesn't want to let me go then, it is me who will let him go.'

Honk! Honk!

A few cars try to honk at the girl who looks like she would commit suicide.

Xui Li slowing his bike when he saw someone who looks a bit familiar standing at the edge of the bridge wall.

When he passing by her, he immediately stops his bike at the side of the road and jumps from his bike.

He takes off his helmet while running to her.

Yank her hand, he yelled at her. "What the hell are you doing?!"

Shocked with the sudden pull from someone, she snaps her head toward the man in front of her.

Her face was pale, her clothes drenched with the rain, she shivering because of the cold, her eyes were bloodshot because of the tears keep rolling down.

"Xui…Xui Li." She hugs him like he was her light in her dark world.

She sobbing and tightly clench her finger on his jacket.

Looking at her state, he couldn't help but urge to calm her and hug her back.

"Don't cry. I'm here."

He pats on her back and says again. "There, there."
