104 Are You Still Awake?'

This time their task is a bit easy than the last year. So Xue Mei did not wait to see them finish their mission. She went back to her room and busy to check her schedule.

She got released from her part-time work when Miss Li Na tells her that she needs to take care of her health. Even so, her salary still credited to her accounts. That is what she like the most about her boss. Very understanding and generous too.

While she was busy with her laptop, suddenly her phone beep. She ignores it. It just a message. For the second time, she ignores it and comes to the third.

She glances at her phone a little and seeing it was from Ren, she couldn't help but turn her head to the window.

Yup! He was there, at his balcony, looking straight at her. He signals her to read the message on her phone. Divert her eyes to the phone, she slides it open.

First message 'Hey babe.'

The second message 'Can we talk?'

The third message 'Really, I need to talk to you.'

She sighing. Look at the clock, she then diverts her eyes back to her phone screen.

'Tomorrow. At the open space behind the campus building.' and send.

Within less than a minutes, he messages her again. 'After class?'

'Yeah.'

After sending the last message, she turns off her phone and focuses back on her laptop screen.

Spring festival will be held in April, which means she only had less than three months to prepare before the competition. Since she will be presenting it alone this year, she needs to use a lot of her cells in her brain to work on the art. If not, she needs to bid a goodbye to her goal.

The next day.

As per promise, Ren meets her at the back of campus building. She was there sitting at the bench while reading some book.

"Hey, babe." He sits beside her and wants to kiss her but immediately she dodges him.

"Ren, we already broke up. Don't kiss me as you like." She coldly said.

Ren scrunches his eyebrow and narrowing his eyes to her.

"Since when did I decide that we broke up? I told you, I will not let you go." His voice turns cold as her and sounds more dangerous than before.

Not looking at him, she turns her face to the sideways. "What do you want?" She mused.

Sighing, he rubs his face with his palm before he turns to her again. "About the Spring Festival. The principal said that I need to group up with Ha Eun.."

"I know." She interjects him.

"What?"

"I said that I know. You free to group with her. So, good luck." She ready to stand up and before she could go, Ren grabs her wrist a bit tight that it makes Xue Mei scrunch her eyebrow.

"Let go, Ren. It hurt." She whimpers.

"No, what is wrong with you? Why did you distancing yourself from me?"

"I told you that we are over, why do I need to keep pestering on you?" She replies to him.

"Ok, Xue Mei, I get it, you're mad at me. I know I was wrong. I'm sorry. I really am sorry. But to break up with you, no. I did not approve of that. I love you and you know that!" He looks at her with a serious gaze.

"No Ren. You did not love me as you said. I..I just a substitute for you." Her eyes start to teary a bit.

Stand up, he put both of his arms around her shoulder. "What are you talking about? You're not a substitute." He wipes the corner of her eyes.

"Let me make it up to you. I'm sorry that I hurt you." He hugs her and kisses her top of the head.

Not resisting, she just let him hug her. It's been a while since she felt his warm. Maybe she should give him a last chance?

"Let me send you back to your dorm, okay?" He carries her like a princess and holding her bag to his car.

All of the student look at them with envy. Ha Eun on the second floor faintly smiles looking at the couple.

'Well, they get back together, I guess.'

Upon seeing Xue Mei was sent back by Ren Zhi, Xui Li already know that both of them has been in a good term again.

Well, it hurts him but nothing can be done again. If that what she really wants, he gonna respect that. He still had his sane to not do something that makes her forcefully to accept him.

"Erm...Brother Xui Li." Clarissa, the girl from the other night with shyly looking at Xui Li.

Turning his head around, he looks down at the girl "Yeah?"

"Erm..can..can I have your phone number?"

Xui Li raise a brow to that. At the same time, Xue Mei also standing at the entrance of the door. She could hear them both.

Glancing at her, he smiles to the girl. "Sure." He stretches out his hand and takes the girl phone.

He types his number and saves it to her phone. "Done." He returns back the phone to her and smiling.

Blushing, she takes the phone with her two hands. "Thank you Xui Li, my love. Oh! I mean, brother Xui Li." She hides her face when she suddenly slips out 'my love' word.

"It's okay." He pats on her head and went back to his room.

Scoffing, Xue Mei also went to her room. She rolled her eyes to the new girl.

"Seriously." She murmurs slowly.

Once she went inside her room, she slams her bag to the desk and lay on her bed.

'Why the hell am I so furious about this?!'

She rolls her body on the bed. 'Urgh!! I hate this. I can't get a proper break up with Ren and now my heart hurt so much!!!'

As what Ren promises her, he really makes it up with her. He brings her to go on a date that has been long since last they had one.

Eating in an exclusive restaurant. She also often receiving a gift from him. Even though they not in the same group again, but he still gonna check on her. He really changes. Change for good. And Xue Mei hopes that this will last.

They still in the routine to take a turn to accompany Ha Eun in the hospital. She also looks happy when both of them in a good term. She knew Xue Mei is a good girl for Ren Zhi. Thus, she really hopes that they end up being together.

And for Xui Li, their relationship seems a little bit distance than before. He usually busy with his practice, his class, and his job hunting. So with Risa. She's quite busy and after both of the stepsister and stepmother went into jail, her father is totally in depression. He already filed a divorce and still went through the process.

Risa also sometimes will return to Japan to check on her wedding preparation. Even though it still early to do so. Because Shou is insisting on her to choose, she had no choice except to follow his decision.

The theme for the Spring Festival has been released. This is where she started to worry about her art project.

She searches all of the ideas for making it look extravagant. She needs to make sure that the jury will like her concept. After a whole day thinking, she suddenly remembers that tomorrow she needs to go to the hospital.

Her appointment is at 3 PM. But tomorrow is also Ren's turn to accompany Ha Eun. Risa is out of the town, she had a study tour for a week.

Luo Hui is also busy tomorrow since she had an interview. The last option is Xui Li. But, will he agree to accompany her? Both of them are rarely talking now and they only greet each other with a formal tone if they meet.
