106 The Day She Had Been Waiting

Xui Li brings her back to his house at the Skylark Apartment. This is his private house.

He rarely comes here and only comes when it necessary. Because both of them are now drenched and it's so heavy downpour at the outside, it is not convincing to bring Xue Mei back at the dorm in their current state.

Find a towel in his room, he went to her and dried her hair after that.

"You should take a shower first. I'll find clothes for you." He said and led her to the bathroom.

She nods her head and went inside the bathroom.

Under the rain shower, she said to herself "I will not cry again. I already give him my last chance and he used that up. I will let him go. I will." She curled up her fist into a ball.

Xui Li put his sweater and jogs pants on the bed. He didn't have any girl clothes in his house.

He takes a shower at the guest room and within 10 minutes, he was out from his bathroom. Wearing his casual home clothes. Lucky that his apartment is well prepared with the clothes and always had a servant to clean it up.

He went to the fridge, but nothing was there to cook. Only had a bottle of wine and a few cans of alcohol inside it.

He then looks at the floor to the ceiling glass window, the outside already start to dark and the heavy rain still pouring.

He took out his phone and make a call to the service apartment. They provided a dine-in service for residence in this apartment. Thus, the only option is to order their dinner with the service team.

After 20 minutes, the service team rings a bell to his apartment. Stand up from the couch, he opens the door and takes the box before he pays for food.

He put the box on the kitchen counter and that is when Xue Mei walks out from his room.

She only wearing his sweater and not wearing the pants. Because the sweater is kinda big and loos, it covers up her body until her thigh.

Xui Li immediately move his gaze away. "Why not wear pants? It's cold in here." He said.

"Umm..your pants…I can't wear it." She said with a low voice.

Looking at the box on the kitchen counter, she said again "Did go out and you buy this?" She then looks at the glass window. Still raining.

"No, I order them. Let's eat. You must be hungry, right?" He put the plate and open the box for her.

"Mm...Noodles." She said and take the chopstick.

"Umm...I don't have any juice. Is beer alright? But I can only allow you to drink one can." He stares at her.

"It'll be alright. I need some booze right now." She smiles at him and continues to eat her dinner.

Put the can beside the plate, Xui Li also sit down and eat the dinner calmly.

After dinner, both of them went to the couch and watch some movie on the television. Xue Mei starts to feel a bit drunk, but she still can hold it.

"Do you have a morning class tomorrow?"

Xue Mei shakes her head. "No. You?"

"I don't. But I have afternoon class and practice in the evening."

"Mm. We'll leave early in the morning then." She said. The rain doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

"Did you ankles hurt?" He glances at her ankle. He notices that she is no longer had plastered on her legs.

"Mm. A bit numb. But maybe it's the effect of walking for too long."

Find something on the drawer under the table, he lifts up her legs and put it on his laps.

"Xui Li.."

"Shh." He put the ointment on her skin and rub it gently.

The sensation of his touch makes Xue Mei feels tingly in her heart as if there is a butterfly flying over her inside of the body.

"Did something happen between you and Ren?" His sudden question makes Xue Mei rigid a bit.

"Erm..n..no."

"So, I guess it right, then." He said casually and put her legs down back.

Silent for almost half an hour, suddenly Xui Li asks her.

"Do you ever thought or consider what I tell you in the hole at that time?"

Xue Mei silent a moment before she answers him "I did."

"Oh. Did you ever have the slightest feeling for me?"

Xue Mei gulps a bit. 'Of course, I have! But right now is not the right moment to questioning this, right?' She was lost in her own thought and did not reply to him.

"Xue Mei."

"Hm?"

He leaned closer to her and pinch her chin gently.

"Why is it hard for you to fall for me? You promise me in the past that you would come and find me. But why it's always me who chasing you?" His eyes look a bit hurt and there's something that Xue Mei can't decipher it from his expression.

"I..I don't know." She stuttered.

"You don't know about what? Whether you have fallen for me or not?" He takes a guess.

Slowly, she nods her head.

"Then, how about this." He slowly presses his lips onto hers.

Xue Mei was surprised, but she also did not move at all. He slowly part her lips and suck her sweet and tender lips. His hand moves to her back of the neck and he slowly tilting his head making their lips fit.

His moves were gentle that makes Xue Mei close her eyes and follow his lead. After a moment, he releases her lips and that makes Xue Mei dumbfounded.

She blinks her eyes a few times.

"I'm sorry. I was too absorbed." He turns his head and avoiding eye contact with her.

Xue Mei parting his mouth like she wants to say something, but there is no word that she can say right now. She closes her mouth back.

"You know, the day after graduation I will go abroad. If..you choose to be with me, come and meet me at the airport. If not, this is my final goodbye to you. I hope you find what you love." He stands up and leaves her on the couch.

Xue Mei was totally shocked. 'He leaving? He will be leaving? Why so sudden?'

Feeling so tired she also decide to went back to his guest room. She needs to get some sleep. The alcohol she drinks making her feel a bit drowsy.

A few days later

Ren Zhi went to search her at the back of the campus building. She was doing her project for Spring festival art.

"Ahem, babe." He calls her when seeing she was so absorbed with doing her work.

Turn around she found that Ren Zhi was already standing behind her with a few steps from her.

"Hm?" She put the paintbrush and wipe her hand which is full of colors with a wet tissue.

Stand up from the ground, she went to him and look at him. She already waiting for this day to come. Finally, she will face the day she had been waiting for.

"Can I talk to you about something?" He smiles at her hoping that she will understand and agree with his decision.

"Sure." She then leads him to the bench near them.
