Chapter 385 - Drop Red Water-I

"Do you know when he will come back then?" Seoyeon questioned but Haneul answered her with a silence that meant no and Seoyeon didn't ask any longer. "Do you think Yeseul would be alright?"

'I think she knows that her plan was to end the reincarnation that kept happening to her,' Haneul said, 'Maybe once the reincarnation cycle is gone she will finally enjoy the life she wanted and had been hoping to see.'

Seoyeon could feel the lingering emotions on Haneul's words as she wanted to help Yeseul as much as she could as she was Yeseul's closest friend.

"I am sure she will," answered Seoyeon.

Another day passed and finally came the time where the plan they made was finally effective. The long awaited day for them to kill the Mistress or the woman who was known better as the late Queen had arrived and Yeseul including the few who was locked in the reincarnation cycle because of her was fully geared to what's about to come.

JaeGil strapped on his guns as he knew that there won't only be magic used in the field later and some black witches liked it while using weapons such as machete or knives. To decease the chances he has to use magic and exhaust himself before meeting the Queen, he had prepared the gun.

Different people had their own preparation. While the vampires from the Associates who were asked to fight had been ruled to only fight the lower black witches prepared lightly; there were many others who had to prepared more than them and it was Seoyeon's group.

Only Jung Hwa, Seoyeon, and Lee Young prepared the lightest with Yeseul hauling a large bag on her back.

"You think you would be alright running around with that?" Lee Young questioned Yeseul as soon as they met up.

During the earlier morning, Lee Young and Yeseul who both stayed in the Associates for quicker preparation for the fight was surprised to see each other the first thing in the morning.

Not only because they woke up and looked at each other during breakfast in a silent talk, it was because the moment Yeseul had turned her doorknob and stepped out, Lee Young who slept on the room beside her also turned open the door and met Yeseul in a coincidence.

Yeseul didn't know how long it had been since she talked with a person outside the field of her work of reading other's future and their upcoming disasters. It gave her a feeling like a newborn fawn trying to walk, awkward, clumsy but rather there was a gentle feeling on her heart she can't point out what its name was.

"I can carry this just fine. When I was in my first life I carried more than this and still could run and fight," Yeseul answered to Lee Young questioned, "But rather you, why don't you have anything with you."

Lee Young looked at Yeseul with a slow smirk playing on his lips. He shrugged his shoulders, "It just mean I am that strong. Whether it's the Mistress, I know I have the capability to withstand her power. In any case my job is to kill her and can you say there is a weapon that might work against her?"

"No," Yeseul answered. The raw power of the vampire that was what Lee Young had and they needed.

Lee Young's red eyes continue to watch "What about you? There are preparations needed for this fight but you have the most crucial preparation needed isn't there?"

Yeseul raised both of her eyes brows, her head tilting, "I don't remember there was anything particular that I have to do."

"But there is, isn't it?" Lee Young asked. "Are you not going to read their future? For better results and to calm one's mind."

Yeseul murmured a long oh and went to a moment of silent as she tries to mull over the questioned Lee Young asked and he looked at her in wonder, questioning why she needed so much time in answering his question that should have been easy to answer.

"I don't think I should. Some times fate is set by whoever had started this world. To know the future would cause a ripple in my head, a ripple that could change the outcome of the future and don't you think it is more fun like this?"

"Like what exactly?"

Yeseul said, "Not knowing the future and fighting with all our might. It is a a similar feeling as being in the tunnel chasing for the light. When we reached it, finally we could feel the liberating feeling."

"I get it," Lee Young agreed. "But unexpectedly you are a romantic, Miss Elizabeth."

"Elizabeth is fine," Yeseul smiled. Before she regained her memories as Yeseul, she couldn't see herself working with vampires not because she doesn't trust vampires or that she holds prejudice against them. It was something in herself that border her from getting closer to vampires.

It might be her instinct. Her instinct that knew her husband, Han Anhye was a vampire and her instinct that also knew she would feel heartbreak upon getting closer to vampires who would remind her again of him.

"Are you emotionally prepared?" Lee Young asked her, "I heard that light witches don't kill and only heal and protect."

Yeseul couldn't help but chuckle over what Lee Young said and he stared at her questioning what he had asked wrong.

"I once thought the same as you. Light witches don't kill they protect, they are kind because it was in their nature to be so," Yeseul heaved her breaths deeply. "And it was false. Like how in a pitch black color there are till white, no matter how white a person is there could be darkness in them and no one knows when this darkness will take control. Those darkness are hatred, envy, and greed. Are all of those are emotions we have since our birth. Something which is—"

"Impossible to erase from our hearts," Lee Young completed and Yeseul's eyes enlarged as the pureblood had guessed what she wanted to say.

"Have I told you about this before?" She asked.

"No," was Lee Young's answered. "I guessed and I felt like—" his stare on her narrow but not with anger.. There was a spark but neither of them know what the spark means, "—I have once heard about this before."
