Chapter 262 - It’s A Mess-II

Earlier before the fight in the corridor started, Seoyeon's as aware of the difference in power between her and the axe witch. She had seen how large his figure was and how strong he could lift a large broken wall with a single hand before throwing it toward her which she avoided only to create a large dent on the wall, she learned that using an honest fighting method would only cost her limbs or worse lives.

She then recalled Jung Hwa and his personality where he would use trick slyly. Taking him as his inspiration, she decided to create traps using the left over strings she found in one of the room that was used to hang lights and use it below, on the floor of the corridor.

She used the advantage of having a larger and taller opponents to divert his focus from looking below. As she had used string, it was also hard to be seen which added another advantage for her.

During the time the axe witch tried to provoke her, Seoyeon flipped the table, using his temperament to lead him to his own death.

In the current timeline, Seoyeon stood motionlessly as she saw the axe witch ran toward her. Seoyeon knew he wouldn't be using his axe as he seemed to prefer using his own hands to kill like how he did to Yu Sheen and had only used his axe to frighten his opponents. Before the axe witch's finger could touch the end of Seoyeon hair, he didn't know his feet her tugged on the string below him, and the flask potion that Seoyeon tied on the side of the walls fell all at the same time, creating a very large blast which held the same force as a firework did.

It would be bad if the axe witch didn't take any damage from what she had done. Therefore, Seoyeon took out more flask from her hands, throwing it to the direction where the witch was while being surrounded with the gray smokes.

She didn't forget not too use up her precious potions too much, knowing how this was far from over. "Please don't get up," whispered Seoyeon under her breaths. She wasn't used to fighting for hours and hours, and this was much more than she could offer. She tried to brush it off since her fight with the witchess on the first floor, but her energy was running low. All the runnings have taken a damage by tiring her legs, and there was a few scratches on her face and limbs due to the fight she had with the witch.

The smokes went up after a while and Seoyeon tightened her hand during this moment as she clasped tighter to the flask she held where the potions was stored at. The large black shadow that belonged to the axe witch appeared as the smile subsided. The shadow didn't move after a while, and Seoyeon was about to take it as a positive sign when she saw the deep furious expression that covered the witch's face.

She saw the witch looked down on his body, particularly his entire arms and torso where his skin had melted, a part of his body had turned black as if it had been roasted. His hand turned to a strong fist. Eyes in anger, he looked at Seoyeon, alarming her of what was about to happen now that the witch snapped in rage.

"You fucking witchess!" the axe man howled enough to get Seoyeon running.

It was not enough! Seoyeon thought in her mind whilst running away from the axe witch. She learned that whenever she prayed for the best, the opposite happen that had her rethink about her misfortunes.

Seoyeon retrace her steps, after a while running in the second floor, she learned the path she took and knew what was about to come for her. Running away wouldn't do her anything good as there was nothing to help her even if she ran and worse, she felt that running was wasting more of her energy that wasn't too much.

It would have been good if she had learned spells to attack but Min Beomgyu wasn't able to teach her as the white witch himself do not know what spell to use for attack.

It took Seoyeon a minute of running to notice that during the run, the axe witch that had been following her closely from behind became faster. She counted the amount of potions she have left, seeing there was only a little few. With the last attack, she needs to make sure this fight ends.

Raising her hands, the axe witch raised his brows, being more cautious this time as her potions had caused holes to his body. He belatedly notice that there was no potion on Seoyeon's hand, and saw that what she held was actually the axe he had threw before.

Creating a heavy swing, Seoyeon was about to throw axe toward the witch when she felt the floor vibrated, causing her balance to be thrown of.

The witch grin widely, "Seems like the goddess of luck isn't on your side!" and he dashed forward, reaching out his hand to her neck.

"I have enough of your trick and the hide and seek," said the witch, tightening his grip on her entire neck that denied her of air. Seoyeon felt her breathings caught in a sudden halt and the axe she held fell from her hands before she was able to notice it. Using her nails, she crawled to the witch's hands, refusing to be strangled to death.

"You think that is enough to hurt me?" the witch sneered while looking at her and he let go of her neck that allowed air to come back to her body but the man didn't let go of his hold as he held her by her hair, as if she was a radish. "Don't worry I won't kill you now. I will make you feel the pain that I felt before killing you."

Seoyeon coughed, she could still feel the grip on her neck even though the witch's hands was away from her neck. She could tell even without seeing how there was a handprint on her neck which belong to the white witch.

"Is there enough time for you to take your sweet time?" Seoyeon smirked, not wanting to be scared by the witch. Seeing how Min Beomgyu hadn't come back, it would mean Yu Sheen was in a critical condition, or worse, the white witch had met another witch on his way which Seoyeon hope she was wrong.

"You think the Associates or the Hunters would come here? Sadly for you, little witch, this house had been guarded with a spellbinding, no one from outside would be able to come here." The witch smirked, "No one has been able to break through our shield, even now."

That was a bad news, thought Seoyeon. She guessed sooner or later someone from the Associates would come but if the witch had put a shield in order to have no one interrupting their business, she understood that she needs to deal with this all by herself. One more thing to keep her occupied was the large vibration she felt before, did it come from the floor bellow her?

Seoyeon felt her scalps burning in pain as her entire body weighed downward with the gravity, "How many of you are here?" she asked.

The witch looked at her, her bravery was something to praise as even now when she was about to die, she could still pull a smile. "You are going to die soon anyway, so I will tell you. Excluding the witchess you killed earlier, there are three of us."

At this Seoyeon frowned, she wondered the chances for Min Beomgyu to stumble upon the other two witches? Did the ground shook earlier because the white witch fought with the witches?

"I can see that you are worried about your friend from earlier but no fear, as soon as I've killed you, I will bring your friend to meet you soon," said the witch, his face casted a large round shadow over Seoyeon's.

She looked at his hand that moved to his shoulder, pulling a large axe which was red in color as if it was dyed with blood. He raised it up, "Let's start with your hand," and his hand descended toward her right arm.. Unable to see it, Seoyeon closed her eyes when her thoughts drifted to see Jung Hwa's face in the pitch darkness.
