Chapter 261 - It’s A Mess-I

Ava pulled herself back late, causing a deep wound on the right side of her face as she moved behind and Seojun pulled his back from the cold wall behind him where he had crashed on.

Without sharing a word, he took enough breath to match again, holding out his dagger toward Ava while the witchess made distance with the snake tail that came from below the black cloak she wore. Each attack that came from Seojun was deadly, severing the snakes tail that come across his face to half.

Ava had betted on the young hunter to waste his energy and fall back tired, but she was wrong. Seojun's stamina didn't fade even as he was occupied to move his entire body across to corridor as she kept him busy with the snakes tail she had.

When Seojun finally made it to the last snake tail that guarded Ava, he stuck out his dagger when he sensed from behind a large snake tail moving sharply as if to stab itself to his body. The glass window on his left side vibrated when Seojun who noticed the snake tail kicked it far enough toward the window.

When he had got rid of the sneak attack, he saw another thorn-like group of tail snakes creating a wall between him and the witchess. Seeing it, Seojun's eyes narrowed. He indeed had the stamina but was running out of time for such a game.

"Can't you keep a normal fight, witchess? Or are you too afraid to fight with me without your little girl's witchcraft? I thought being the one who had faced my parents you would have the skills but my expectation of eleven minutes seems too good for you." Seojun reached out his hand to wipe away the blood that dripped horizontally on the side of his cheekbones that happened when he had avoided his fall earlier.

"Provoking me won't do anything good, little hunter. Only if you are worthy I will consider to show you more of my witchcraft. But so far you are only able to wound me this much, not too impressive," Ava slid her fingers to her cheeks, trying to heal it but understood the power Seojun had as her body couldn't heal similar to what Heoyeon had experienced.

"Not healing, are you?" Seojun chimed as though he could read her mind. "Am I still not impressive? You have a very high standard for a witchess. Is that why you decided to group up with whoever it is that you work now?"

"Might be, I followed my goal not her," said Ava, unknowingly giving a light to the person she worked for.

The ceasefire lasted for a moment as the two keenly watched their enemy's action. "Is that why you came here— to kill humans and vampires?" questioned Seojun, seeing Ava smirked.

"I don't like killing humans but there is no helping it. Sacrifices are bound to make."

Seojun's brows drew together in a magnetic pull, his eyes were filled with confusion that was quickly replace with anger. "There is no helping it? Sacrifices? There would have been no sacrifices at all if you didn't come here."

Ava looked at Seojun before throwing her head back and laugh aloud, "You must have forgotten what I was, little Hunter. I am a malicious witchess. All I want is to achieve my goal for that-" she took a step forward, pushing her feet to Che Hara who was still breathing but the moment Ava pushed her feet deeply to her wound blood sprouted from her mouth. "-I would do anything even if it is to sell my souls to the Devil."

Seojun sighed, pushing his hand to his forehead, bringing his black hair that had fallen like curtain to his forehead to the back of his head. A colder glint took place from his eyes, "With how you are now, I am sure even Devil wouldn't lend you a hand. You are just one little greedy ugly witch. I can tell you that you'll never be able to achieve your goal."

"Why so?" Ava asked.

Seojun widened his lips but his smile didn't reach up to his eyes, "Because you will die now." and with a snap of his hand, the surrounding beside the witchess exploded from the floor, causing a large smoke. Ava frowned, she didn't notice that during their talk the hunter had used a heavy ball-like weapon to roll underneath her feet that he,d explosive in it.

Before the smoke evaporated, Seojun had moved in a speed toward the place where the witchess were slicing his dagger to where he recalled the witchess's was when all he cut was the air.

A frown lasted on his forehead for a second when he felt from above him a snake tail stabbed his shoulders. Ava, who had crawled up on the ceiling, holding her body in the corner of the corridor, raised her hand to command the snakes when she saw a dagger thrown right to where her head was. Barely avoiding it by a thread away, she wasn't able to make it far as Seojun immediately pulled her by her neck the moment her feet reached to the ground.

Utilizing one smooth movement, he kicked her by her back to have her on the ground before pushing his dagger to where the witchess's heart was when he noticed a glimmer sparkling behind him. Seojun turned his head to see a sharp end of a crystal moving toward his face, ready to create a hole on his head.

Back at the corridor where the axe witch was, the man had his fun with the new game of hide and seek which was played better than earlier deathly game where Yu Sheen was forced to participate in.

"Little witchess, where are you?" shouted the axe witch in a sing-song voice as he walked passed a large corridor that had an ivory colored-wall that had turned to crimson with the amount of blood spilled.

Seoyeon didn't let a single sound escape from her mouth as unfortunately for her, the witch had a very sharp sense of hearing where he could tell where she was if she make a single step with her running shoes. She hid herself on the back of a door while keeping an eye to the witch using a broken shard of mirror where she saw the witch making his way toward the place she hid at.

The witch continue to ask where she was when he raised his brows as he caught a faint shadow hiding before the unlocked door. With a smile he raised his hand toward the book rack that was at the opposite side of the door and have it slide in a speed toward the place where Seoyeon was.

Having a keen sense and nimbleness like a cat, Seoyeon dodged the flying rack that came toward her like a truck and rolled toward the corridor, facing the axe witch head on.

"Quite amazing, if it was the half vampire from earlier he would have taken the damage head-one. Not quite a bright one, is he?" The axe witch chimed, knowing the anger that bubbles inside Seoyeon as her friend had been wounded.

Seoyeon looked at the witch, she knew the man was provoking her but he didn't know that she was also quite an actress herself and had fooled the witchess she came across earlier before arriving here. "Nonetheless, you still lose to him," smirked Seoyeon that had the axe man frowned in question. "Unlike you he isn't bald."

The axe witch raised his hand to his head which was without a single strand of hair that was his complex but now that Seoyeon said it aloud had a vein on his forehead crawled. "You have a pretty ugly mouth, little witch. Once I have killed you and that man you came with earlier, I will use your hair as my wig!"

In Anger fueled, the axe witch relentlessly ran toward Seoyeon's direction. Even though the axe witch was a human and supposedly doesn't posses a natural-born internal strength, the axe witch was taller than two meters with only muscles molding his body into a large, bear-like prowess. When he ran, the corridor that needed Seoyeon to run for a minute became lesser than half when the axe witch dashed.

Seoyeon watched the witch ran but she didn't move. Seeing her, the axe witch sneer, "Too scared to move, are you? I will make sure to give you some-"

BLAST!
