Chapter 205 - Drinking Blood-I

Seoyeon black eyes widened, hit by the light that came from the moon, the color turn lighter in a hue of brown. She could feel for a moment her heart stopped as if it was her who was told by the dark witchess to have taken a deadly poison.

Her eyes turned at Jung Hwa and she noticed how on the corner of his lips red liquid trickle. Jung Hwa met her eyes, seeing how her tears surfaced in her eyes while looking at him, "I'm sorry, this is because you protected me." If one thing Seoyeon hated it was how weak she was when fighting the witches. "The poison," sighed Seoyeon in panic. What should she do? "We need to do something."

Jung Hwa continued to take in her expression. Despite being told he would die soon, his lips were still high in a smile. "She should have an antidote for the potion," said Jung Hwa to Seoyeon and when she was about to nod and stay positive, the dark witchesses threw her head back and laughed.

Seoyeon pulled her frown and the dark witchess spoke, "I don't have no antidote. It's a potion made for putting vampires like you to an end, why would I make an antidote?" the dark witches tittered, her laughter bringing despair to Seoyeon. You could enjoy the rest of your one minute of life in hellish pain-"

Before the witchess could say anything anymore, Jung Hwa threw the dagger which he had picked from the ground to her shoulder for a cry of scream came from the witchess' mouth.

"Don't cry silly cat, you are not the one wounded," Jung Hwa raised his hand to push bellow her eyelids, erasing the tears that well up on the rim of her eyes.

"But you are," and she can't see Jung Hwa dying before her. "I will do something about it," saying the words, Seoyeon then brought Jung Hwa's hand before her. She unwrapped the ribbon tied around his palm, removing it until she saw the wound, she brought his hand and pressed her lips on the large cut.

Jung Hwa watched Seoyeon trying to suck the poison out despite knowing that if the poison had been regulated to the body, sucking it out wouldn't do anything. As she did, her tears that were threatening to fall looked large like a soap bubble.

Jung Hwa admired the expression had at this moment. She was afraid and was on the verge of tears but her fierceness was still in her eyes. Seoyeon didn't want him to die and it moved his heart a great deal at this action of hers.

He pulled his hand away, and Seoyeon shifted her gaze to see how his face was pale. Jung Hwa had been on the paler side which perhaps because he was a vampire but the paleness was different as the color was closer to paperwhite.

"It's fine Seoyeon, you cannot die if you drink poison but that is human's poison don't do it again, it's reckless," Jung Hwa added her a warning as it seemed that Seoyeon didn't understand that she could also be poisoned by sucking the potion from his hand.

"But what about you?" Was there another way for her to cure Jung Hwa who was poisoned? Nothing could come to her mind and at times like this, she hopes she could make a potion that could cure Jung Hwa by being a witch. But then she knew it from today that she was a dark witchess. Even if she knew, she would not be able to make a healing potion.

Jung Hwa chuckled and Seoyeon looked at him with an expression questioning how could he still smile despite his feet walking dangerously in a tight rope? He was about to die and when the thought resurfaces in Seoyeon's mind, her tears filled her eyes, turning them like liquid.

"Don't worry I am fine," Jung Hwa raised his other hand that was not wounded to her forehead, pushing the hair, his lips pressed on her temple. "Wait a moment," saying this Jung Hwa walked to the dark witchess who was climbing her way to escape by crawling.

Her movements were nothing less than a worm and she was stopped when Jung Hwa pushed his shoes to the woman's back, "Wriggling your way like an earthworm. You suit to roll on the ground, dark witchess."

The dark witchess struggled but she too in pain to be able to muster her power, making her defenseless on Jung Hwa's attack. The woman still held her wide smile even when her face had turned ugly and horribly mismatched with their raw skin and fake skin peeled out.

"You are stupid if you think by killing me you will win! I will bring you with me to hell and-" the dark witchess whose face was scrunched suddenly stopped talking and her mouth was left ajar, "How are you still alive? That's not possible you should have died now from the poison!"

Seoyeon who heard the woman's words felt relieved but at the same time, she also wondered if Jung Hwa was truly alright and he was not putting an upfront. She made distance from them, making herself not to be on the way again.

"Isn't it's easy to tell now that I have a resistance to poison? I can't be killed by poison and that is not enough although it does not mean it didn't affect me to feel pain, I did felt how my insides burn, and let me tell you how painful it is," he pressed his shoes deeper that earned him a series of cries from the dark witchess. Seeing how the woman was still alive despite losing a liter of blood where even a vampire would have died, showed them how witchess had acquired a uselessly durable body that put them an advantage when fighting a hunter or vampire.

Seoyeon could only watch the dark witchess struggling. Without hands, the woman looked like a snake, hissing and yelling painful screams. The sight was something Seoyeon couldn't look at. She recalled the woman's words and to know that she is the same being as the dark witchess, make her feel unsettled, and a sense of dislike to herself bud inside her.

The dark witchess seemed to have finally succumbed to the pain, and before he could crush the witchess's heart by stepping on her, he stopped his feet, letting the witchess to cough blood, "Don't die yet, we haven't got to the most fun part of this. You have to tell me a few things that I need to know."

"Over my dead-"

The dark witchess screamed again at the top of her lungs, and Jung Hwa watched her with eyes void. "If you are hasty to die, then reply to my words." Jung Hwa smiled and the witchess whose head was on the ground wailed in pain. She could feel each time Jung Hwa's feet dig deeper into her back, her stomach felt as if it was squashed. "How do you know Seoyeon is a dark witchess?"

If the dark witchess had a hand, she would have clawed her hands on the mud, "T... The cemetery... i...is reserved for only dark witchess to rest..."

Seoyeon looked all around the cemetery, finally noticing that despite the width of the land, there were only a few headstones erected on the ground. There were maybe fifty headstones she could see and all of them were dark witches.

Then was her parents who rested in the same cemetery was a dark witch?

Seoyeon at a loss of words, went nearer beside Jung Hwa, "What about the coffin with missing bodies? Why is there no one resting in it?" she asked the dark witch who was having a hard time talking with Jung Hwa's feet constantly pressing and pulling.

"You must have seen wrong," the witchess spoke through her gritted teeth. "Every coffin in this cemetery contain dead bodies, there is no way we would bury an empty coffin under the soil. Unless they are killed by hunters that turn their corpse to ashes."

"Do you know Yang Jiae and Yang Sunghoon like your friend over there?" questioned Jung Hwa, his hand which was bleeding had not stop and continue to drip down over the green grasses below him, turning it to red. "I don't expect you to say that I'm their best friend or anything similar, do you? Dark witches only work with each other for the sake of their own. The ugly being whose insides and outsides are bloodcurdling."

The dark witchess under his feet didn't take it easy when called ugly and she struggled as if wanting to kill Jung Hwa despite her drawbacks. "Stop moving. Don't think I would not kill you for the information you have. I really despise dark witches the most, enough to want to drain every last blood from you. Tell me what you know about Yang Jiae and Yang Sunghoon."

Seoyeon kept silent but when she heard Jung Hwa claiming aloud of his hatred against the dark witches, her hands she held together tightened in the hold.

"There isn't anyone who doesn't know them," the dark witchess chortled, "They are our proudest dark witch couple. With them around, we were the strongest, the most powerful. I remember them killing a bunch of pureblood vampires alone with their tricks but," the woman's smile fell as her eyes snapped wide at Seoyeon with a fit of flaring anger, "Instead you worked for a pureblood! By doing this all you do is trampling over your parent's hard work and their sacrifices.. Your exact being is a shame to all dark witches."
