Chapter 204 - Determination-II

It took a silence for Seoyeon to rethink of the dark witchess words and her surprised expression twisted the lips of the witchess, "I see that you haven't known what you are yet. Come here child, you should jot side with the vampire. Soon he would be the one you kill you like the rest of his kin."

Seoyeon's grip tightened on the knife of her hand, she looked at the woman before her gaze break, wanting to see Jung Hwa but she can't.

The dark witchess were the same people who had killed Jung Hwa's mother. Knowing that she is the same species of who had killed his mother, she could tell there would not be a good expression she would see from his face.

Jung Hwa had accepted her as she is even after knowing she was a witch and this Seoyeon thought was because there is still a chance she could be a white witchess who are in a different page than the dark witchess. After learning about dark witches and white witches, Seoyeon hope she is a white witch which was more tolerable than the dark witchess who killed people indiscriminately; and so she would not disappoint Jung Hwa who was always there by her side by being the same creature who had killed his mother.

Now came the light that show she is dark witchess, she was afraid to see the expression Jung Hwa held on his face. Her heart felt prickly when she imagine how he would look at her in a different light; or worse despise her for being the same as the killer of his mother.

All the thought made Seoyeon to feel her heart squeeze in pain and she curled her lips.

"I am not a dark witch," Seoyeon said aloud, her eyes glaring at the witchess that had the woman startled before she threw her head back to laugh like a heretic. She can't see Jung Hwa's face and she would not see it now. She knew she was being cowardice but it was better than having to see his expression now and had her focus ruined before the fight even started.

"Oh dear! Are you making a joke there? It's clearly seen from you that you are a witchess. How about it, working with me and this man beside me?" as she spoke, the man whose hand was broken to powder take stand beside the dark witchess. His face was bleeding after the wound caused by Jung Hwa. "I can promise you a life of luxurious or would you like to have more men? I know much more that could look better than you have beside you know," the witchess licked her lips while her eyes staring at Jung Hwa.

"Hahaha," Jung Hwa suddenly burst to a laughter that pulled Seoyeon's gaze at him. His black hair had fallen out of places, covering his forehead to contrast his bright glowering eyes. "I can tell how lonely you are, Misses dark witchess by going so far to invite her. I will wisely tell you that could never sway my kitten's mind no matter what you offer, even if you are in tune with her origin. And offering men might be good but it would not work to her. With me here, could there be any man more handsome?"

The dark witchess looked at Jung Hwa with a turned off look, "You have an excellent face, young man but I will tell you that your mouth is rubbish. I will tear your mouth so you would not be able to speak confidently ever again," she grinned, pulling the dagger on her waists to hold two with both hands.

"Please no, tsk, I don't like anyone touching my mouth. Especially an old ugly woman like you." What Jung Hwa said made the dark witchess's expression to turn sour. Her eyes flared with anger. To dark witchess, the worst words they would like to hear was ugly, the second being old, and Jung Hwa had said both at the same time!

"Don't play fights like these when it is not your playground, old woman. You should bring your friend over there under the soil to see how much fun it would be," added Jung Hwa and the man beside him didn't seem to take the words he said well either.

"You one fucker of a vampire!" The witchess ground her teeth, she took one leg behind to accelerate and catch Jung Hwa's neck. Jung Hwa managed to avoid every blades and attacked well until the witch who was with the witchess attacked him at the same time.

Their fights were intense and as it continues, Seoyeon's eyes could not follow who and who was being wounded or the person who had wounded others. Jung Hwa avoided every attacked but she could tell that each time, the two dark witches and witchess managed to put a scratch on his face.

Being alone in the territory of the witches weren't not an easy fight even for Jung Hwa. If he was careless for a moment, the witches would throw their knives on Seoyeon, aiming to kill her and there was the poison he need to be cautious from.

He didn't let himself to be pushed back either. In a moment he pulled both of the witchess' hands together and the woman laughed at him, "How foolish of you to hold my hands. Did you think I can fight only with my hands?"

"Sure not. If you think this is the end, you have misunderstood me," saying the word with a smile, Jung Hwa kicked the other witch who rushed over him on his stomach to then take a hold of the witchess's shoulder, with a powerful pull, he managed to rip off the witchess's hands from her shoulders.

Blood splattered everywhere and the dark witchess who mocked Jung Hwa, laid on the ground, screaming in pain as she rolled around the ground. Her face wasn't pretty but it was better for one to view than her true face that appeared after the skin on her face peeled off.

"My hands! My hands!" the woman cried in pain. Thankfully they were in the cemetery with less people. The scream managed only to startle Seoyeon who had not expect to see the gory scene laid before her eyes. She then heard the witchess screamed to her friend, "Don't wait for it, kill him now!"

In cue, the male witch who was once an old man took something from his pocket that looked like a flask to throw it over Jung Hwa. Seeing the liquid, Seoyeon could feel that it was a terrible potion and she looked around to find a broken branch. Taking it, she rushed to stabbed the male witch's leg.

As the male witch was occupied with Jung Hwa, he had forgotten of her presence. The attack succeed for the man to stumble slightly but then he turn his body with eyes filled of ire at Seoyeon who had wounded him, "You wounded me!" the male witch cursed and he pulled a new dagger to attack her.

Seoyeon saw how the man face inched close in front of her as he had cut the distance between them in less than a second. It was too late for her to reacted but she thought she would managed to dodge with a graze on her face and turn her body.

"I will kill-" The witch's words were cut before it could end as his head left his body. Seoyeon whose face was only two hand palms away from the witch, saw how the head of the man disappeared from the top, leaving him headless and she felt something warm came on her her cheeks. Bringing her hand to where she had felt the liquid, she saw it was blood that had turned black.

At first, Seoyeon noticed how the blood seemed to be dark. The night was without any light from the moon which made her think that the blood looked darker because of the scarce light. Until the blood came on her face did she noticed that it was pitch black in color, almost like an ink but slimy.

"Got you," Jung Hwa tossed aside the head of the witch he severed. His eyes met Seoyeon's black one and her stupefied expression had him wanting to chuckle but at the same time he doesn't want to scare her. "Sorry, I didn't managed to tell you to close your eyes. Were you afraid?"

There was the evident sweet tone Jung Hwa used when calling her name that make her felt her worries turning to tears. He wanted to touch Seoyeon, soothing her from the fear, but not with the hands where blood dripped down after his killing. He doesn't want the blood to smear on her face.

Seoyeon could have reply but she felt her words stuck at the back of her throat. She shook her head, feeling how her heart was filled with loud beating sound that came from the fear of death.

"I will take care of-" Jung Hwa started when his body began to tilt. Seoyeon hurriedly took his hand and at the same time she heard the dark witchess that were on the ground without her upper limbs laughed like a maniac.

"Finally it take effects," said the woman, letting her hands to bleed out. The pain should still hurt her but she didn't seemed affected any longer. Seoyeon found the woman looking at her with her lips that had coughed blood curling, "Did you really think we would not smear any potion on the dagger that struck your hand? You can say good bye to him how.. The potion we use is very potent that he is now as good as a dead man."
