Chapter 206 - Drinking Blood-II

Seoyeon stood there stunned by the words said by the dark witchess regarding her parents. She had been curious about them and somewhere as she has gotten older, she decides to ignore her curiosity with the lack of knowledge and clue to ever find her parents.

But to hear that they were the same dark witches who hunted pureblood vampires for their goal, Seoyeon was filled with a sense of unsettledness. She could feel herself wanting to deny them as her parents.

Now she hoped she hadn't searched for anything about her parents or learn about them.

"You are lying," said Seoyeon, her voice came out weak as she tried to argued. Even if there was a silver chance, she would like to believe the dark witches were the ones who had lied to her. Her birth parents were not the same people she mentioned. "My parents are not like that."

"Do you even remember how your parents look like? I could never mistake them. They are known well amongst us. But you have betrayed their expectation and our expectation-" The dark witchess coughed blood when Jung Hwa pressed her lungs.

Seoyeon slowly took a peek at Jung Hwa's face, finding him not smiling and the expression made her nervous as if she had fallen into an abyss without knowing where to go.

Jung Hwa then asked, "What do you know of Jung Hyesu?" Seoyeon noticed the surname, finding that it could be the name of his mother.

"What will I get by telling you?"

"You could stay alive who knows if you are lucky. If your information is not meager, I can allow you to scoot free and fly from here," Jung Hwa saw the woman's leg wriggling and threw the one dagger he had after killing the other witch.

The dark witchess cried from the pain, "I don't know anything about that woman," and right after her reply, Jung Hwa pulled out a gun which was silver before aiming to shoot the witchess head.

Seeing the gun, Seoyeon looked away, throwing her face to look back and see the witchess were gone and what left was bags of dust. What happened? Where was the dark witchess's body?

"If they receive a wound on their vital places from a bullet laced with Fisus potion, it would be deadly for them, turning their body to dust," Jung Hwa explained Seoyeon whose eyes stayed first at the dust before looking at him. When he walked Seoyeon saw how his eyes were burning like fire and out of worry, she came before him.

"Are you alright?" asked Seoyeon when she saw Jung Hwa raising his hand, stopping her from walking closer. Seeing the rejection, her heart aches as if she had been needled in her heart.

Jung Hwa noticed her pained expression. He could tell how upset Seoyeon felt when seeing his rejection but the girl had misunderstood his action. "Seoyeon, look at me," he called her name sweetly and Seoyeon was happy there was still a tinge of kindness on his words even if he didn't mean it. She looked up at how Jung Hwa told her to do and saw his smile which had appeared again on his lips. Never in her life, she ever felt as relieved as she was now after seeing his smile.

"Don't misunderstand. I am fine if you want to get close to me, instead, I welcome it with my hand spread open; but not now and it is not because you are a dark witch but because I cannot control my urge to drink your blood," Jung Hwa filled the question in her mind.

Seoyeon understood why he had been covering his mouth the moment he had killed the witchess. His red eyes were lighter in color and glowed, this was a sign that he was hungry for blood, "Would it be bad for you? But how did it happened, only your hands were wounded..." Seoyeon said, gathering her words, looking confused and her confusion didn't come only after seeing his hand but also the information of her parents she was forced to understand. "Is it the poison?"

Remembering the poison Seoyeon got worried, Jung Hwa could hear every beat from Seoyeon's heart where there were worries and anxiousness which came from her concern for him. His grin was pulled wide despite himself being in a dangerous state.

"Do you want to see the poison?" questioned Jung Hwa to her and she could not understand what he meant. The poison was laced on the knife, and the potion was held by the witchess who were gone, leaving only flattened clothes that the woman wore on the ground. She didn't remember seeing Jung Hwa pulling the wicthess' poison which she wasn't sure of.

When she nodded Jung Hwa brought his hand up and in a few seconds, a red drop of water accumulated to the tips of his finger. Seoyeon saw that the red drops were blood and as Jung Hwa continued to raise his finger, the water drops accumulated to a large floating liquid circle like soap bubbles.

But that wasn't all, she saw that the blood was oddly darker in color and while she wondered what it was, Jung Hwa explained to the curious cat, "This is the poison from my blood. A single wound of a dagger to my body would not kill me and the blood loss happen because I forced out all blood in my system to leave my body. It takes times but now there is no single poison in me."

"But... how?" Seoyeon asked confused, was this Jung Hwa's power? She didn't know vampires could have power the way Jung Hwa showed her now. "Is this how you could teleport in distance?"

"Something close," replied Jung Hwa when he felt his fangs aching. The sharp fangs grew sharper and larger as time passed by and Seoyeon could see his struggle. "Let's go back. There is nothing left in here," saying the words, he watched the leftover witch who had died and used his gun to turn the body to dust.

When they arrived back home, Seoyeon can't help to feel worry for Jung Hwa. Her eyes continuously sought for him, not leaving at any second. While walking beside him, she could hear his ragged breathing and how he was having a hard time holding his urge.

As the night had passed one in the morning, Alfred had gone home and the lights which were off turned on when they arrived at the entrance. Seoyeon watched Jung Hwa's broad back as he walked before her.

Jung Hwa took off his outer clothes that were covered in blood that colored in black and his own blood. When he was about to leave, he could feel Seoyeon stopping him from behind by holding to the back of his shirt.

Jung Hwa was currently in a state where he required blood. For vampires, bloodthirst wasn't something that could easily subdue without drinking blood. It was out of a will that Jung Hwa didn't bite Seoyeon who look mouthwatering to him now.

His eyes had been trailing on Seoyeon's white neck, where there was a curve to the frame of her shoulders and his fangs itch to sink to her skin. He could still remember the sweetness of Seoyeon's blood even when he only had a lick on it.

The sweetness was more than honey. It was a taste that he knows he would be addicted to after tasting once.

Seoyeon looked at him who stopped and watched the back of his head. When her pursed lips parted, in one said movement, her view tilted. The back she saw faded and before she knew it, her back was pressed to the wall.

Jung Hwa took hostage of her hand she uses to hold him earlier and his grin came to show his sharp fangs from the corner of his lips, "What exactly are you doing by stopping me?" Jung Hwa pushed his hand, cornering her whose eyes looked at him to meet his glowering red eyes. "I will tell you frankly Seoyeon, I can barely hold myself from wanting to bite you; to sink my fangs on your neck and draw out your blood. The only thing that could come to my mind now is how you would taste, how tasty you would be, and I could only hold myself very faintly."

Seoyeon knew, during the car ride, she noticed Jung Hwa's eyes constantly watching her intently as if she was a baby deer wanting to be eaten by the hungry lion who had been starved for days.

That was exactly the problem which why she had stopped him.

"You can... bite me," Seoyeon whispered, her eyes looking at him before her smile faintly pulled. Thinking of getting bitten and her blood sucked out was honestly frightening because she feared it would be painful. But she can't be docile after seeing Jung Hwa's hand was wounded to protect her.

Seoyeon watched his red tongue peek out from his lips, and ran over his fangs that were sharp enough to cut his own tongue.

"Are you sure?" Jung Hwa questioned, his low voice made Seoyeon curl her lips.
