Chapter 175 - Wild With Imagination

Chapter 175 Wild With Imagination

“Mother, are you kidding me? How can Father not give you money? Even if you don’t like me smashing things, you can’t lie to me like this.”

Maria raised her eyebrows and widened her eyes.

“Why should I lie to you about such a thing? What good will lying to you do me? You’re my daughter, so of course I want to give you all the best things.”

“But the fact is that if you continue smashing things like this, you won’t be able to hang out. You might even go hungry.”

Mrs. Wilson told Maria what might happen. At the same time, she couldn’t help but feel uneasy.

Ever since the day she married Mr. Wilson, he had never stopped giving her two million of living expenses every month. This had been going on for nearly twenty years until it suddenly stopped recently. It was hard for Mrs. Wilson not to let her imagination run wild.

She wanted to change Maria’s habit of smashing things as soon as possible and erase what happened today so that Mr. Wilson wouldn’t find out about it.

Although Mrs. Wilson didn’t know what was happening, she could acutely sense that something bad was about to happen, and it might be related to money.

Therefore, she thought that Mr. Wilson definitely wouldn’t want to hear the news of his daughter smashing things again the moment he got home.

However, Maria, as her meticulously raised daughter, did not understand her painstaking efforts. Instead, she accused her and reprimanded her, shouting in front of her mother without the image of a lady.

This hurt Mrs. Wilson terribly. Instead of her usual gentle and sweet tone, she reprimanded Maria with coldness.

The serious tone with which Mrs. Wilson spoke finally made Maria realize that everything her mother told her was true.

But why did this happen? Maria did not understand.

Her father’s business had always been good. Why didn’t he give them their living expenses anymore? Did he have another mistress and child outside?

At the thought of this possibility, Maria looked vicious. She approached her mother who was still angry at her.

“Is it because Father has a mistress so he no longer cares about us?” Maria asked her mother.

“No way,” Mrs. Wilson denied the possibility on instinct.

Maria sneered. “Why not? Although Father is a little old, he is rich. There are countless greedy women at the company gatherings who are eyeing his wallet.”

“They’re beautiful and young. How many men can resist such a temptation? Mother, based on your understanding of Father, do you think he is one of the few men who can resist the temptation?”

Maria’s question made Mrs. Wilson fall silent. Of course she knew that Mr. Wilson was not such a person. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be here.

Mrs. Wilson knew that she was no longer as charming as before when she was older. She could not compare to the young and beautiful girls outside at all.

It was normal for Mr. Wilson to fall in love with someone else.

However, at the thought that a pregnant woman might show up at any time and ask her to divorce Mr. Wilson and get lost from this manor, Mrs. Wilson couldn’t help but break out in cold sweat, and her expression turned even more vicious.

She had already lived the life of a rich lady for so many years, and she could not tolerate herself returning to the slums to eat bread and cheap hamburgers, as well as the thick soup that had already gone bad.

Maria could tell from her mother’s silence that she had it right. At that moment, Maria couldn’t remember Jocelyn and the shattered objects on the ground. She turned her attention to the lover that Mr. Wilson might be having outside.

After all, Jocelyn was right there. She could deal with her whenever she wanted. However, if Maria was careless and allowed a mistress to enter the family, the mistress would be much more dangerous than Jocelyn.

If it was hers, she wouldn’t allow anyone to take it away from her. Maria’s gaze became fierce, as if she had seen a ferocious beast that was trying to invade her territory.
