Chapter 174 - Starving to Death

Chapter 174 Starving to Death

Mrs. Wilson finally couldn’t put up with Maria anymore. Her expression darkened as she chased all the servants out of the room.

When the door closed, Mrs. Wilson said impatiently, “What’s wrong with you?”

“Do you know how expensive this set of cosmetic products I bought for you is? Also, do you know how much those jewelry in your jewelry box are worth?”

“When can you change your habit of smashing things whenever you’re angry? Do you know that your father is already unhappy with you?”

In the past, no matter how many things Maria threw at her, Mrs. Wilson had never spoken to her in such a harsh tone. At most, she would gently urge her to stop.

But now, Mrs. Wilson actually reprimanded her, which made Maria explode with anger. She looked like a volcano that had been dormant for a long time suddenly erupted, and the burning flame in her eyes made Mrs. Wilson take half a step back.

“Don’t you know why I’m angry? I went to Ivy University today and logged on to the school forum, but there was no news about Jocelyn at all. I spent so much time and effort spreading rumors about her at school, but it turned out it’s just a waste of time. Shouldn’t I be angry?”

“Also, Mother, when did you become so vulgar? The things I broke were just some jewelry, cosmetics, and skincare products. How much can these things be worth?”

“Father gives you so much living expenses every month. Don’t tell me you don’t even want to buy me some cosmetic products.”

At this moment, Maria felt like the entire world was against her.

She was furious that Jocelyn did not die according to her plan. Mrs. Wilson’s reprimand was like boiling water that dripped into hot oil, making Maria explode.

Though Mrs. Wilson felt terrible that Jocelyn got away again, she still couldn’t tolerate the way her daughter reacted to the bad news.

After all, Jocelyn was the daughter of Wilson’s ex wife, so It didn’t matter if Jocelyn was dead or alive.

However, it was different for Maria. Maria was the daughter she had painstakingly given birth to in October. Maria had her blood and bone. Maria should be respectful to her and not shout at her without manners and respect.

“Me? Vulgar? What you just broke is worth more than a million. How dare you throw such an expensive thing away? As a mother, I won’t allow you to be rude to me.”

“I’m really disappointed in you, Maria,” said Mr. Wilson.

Disappointment was written all over Mrs. Wilson’s face as she looked at Maria.

Maria did not know why her mother was so angry today and so harsh to her. This made Maria feel helpless and stunned for a moment, but soon, this helplessness turned into anger.

“Mother, what’s wrong with you today? It’s not like I’ve never thrown something like this in the past, but you’ve never treated me so harshly. Why are you accusing me like that?”

“What exactly do you want!?”

Mrs. Wilson covered her chest in disbelief. She looked at Maria, who was shouting like a crazy woman in front of her, and could not believe her eyes. She could not believe that this was the daughter that she doted on.

Mrs. Wilson glared at Maria until she stopped talking

“What do I want?”

“You’ve always said that your father gives me a lot of living expenses every month, but do you know that your father hasn’t given me a penny this month? If you keep smashing things like that, we’ll sooner or later starve to death!”

“If you want to hang out with your friends penniless, then continue smashing. I won’t stop you.”

“After all, I have to be a noble mother, not a vulgar one.”

A forced and bitter smile appeared on Mrs. Wilson’s face.

Maria even started to wonder if she was still in her dream. Otherwise, how could her mother look at her so sarcastically? How could her father stop giving her mother’s living expenses?
