Chapter 408 - I DON'T CARE ANYMORE

Travis felt that someone had been following them. He couldn't point out who but he was sure that there was someone observing them.

"I think we should go back inside." Travis whispered to her but his eyes were looking at the fish pond. They couldn't allow anyone to know that they were found out.

"I guess you noticed it, too." Jillyanna beamed a smile towards him. "Let's go back."

Instead of an hour, Jillyanna was only able to spend half an hour outside. Even so, she didn't complain since they didn't want to risk her life.

"Why don't we make a move first? It would be better if we take action ahead of time, instead of waiting for them to take action against you." Travis told her but Jillyanna shook her head from side to side.

"I won't strike if they hadn't done anything to me. Plans are plans. As long as they won't put it into action, I won't retaliate against them."

"Alright. Let's wait and see what's in store for us."

They found Top waiting outside the room instead of the inside. When they opened the door, they saw Savannah and Hawk, together with Thomas who came to check on them.

"Hi dad!" Jillyanna greeted him happily and hugged him. "How are you?"

"I'm doing better than you. You look pale and horrible wherein I am looking strong and sturdy." Thomas winked at her as he led her to sit. "I heard that you guys went to check your dress and suit yesterday."

"Hn. The gown looked really amazing." she leaned closer to him and whispered. "I think it costs us a huge sum. Tell Travis to spend less dad. If I tell him, he will always find excuses."

Hearing her whispered words, Thomas chuckled and ruffled her hair. "You silly child. Let him spend his money on you. It isn't a problem."

Jillyanna scratched the tip of her nose awkwardly. Now she knew where Travis got the characteristic of spoiling his wife. It was clearly from his father.

"You didn't bring Winter and Gabriel this time?" Travis probed to know if the two were doing great or if they were still in a cold war.

"They went out earlier. I think they were planning to watch a movie." Thomas told his son, not knowing why he asked about them all of a sudden.

Savannah talked to Travis and handed him a flash drive which contains information about Hans. He didn't ask Shein to do it because Jillyanna would know. Surely, he will inform his sister about the people that Travis asked him to look into. Even if they can be considered family, Shein's loyalty will always remain in the twins and Jillyanna's side. He won't allow anyone to influence his loyalty.

Travis turned on his laptop while his father kept her busy. He checked on the information het got and he didn't expect such news in front of him. Jillyanna would be shocked to know about such thing as well.

He closed his laptop and didn't say anything. He will just talk to her when they get some alone time again.

He let his father talk to her for an hour before sending them off. Jillyanna needed to rest and knew the information that he found. Thomas didn't mind the short time that he got to spend with his daughter-in-law. He was glad that she was doing fine now and he can sleep peacefully with less worry.

"Is something bothering you?" Jillyanna asked him since it was the first time that he asked his father to go home. Usually, he would let them spend time until it was his father who would want to go home, not him who wanted his father to go home.

"I was wondering if you remember someone named Hanreich Percibal." Travis mentioned to her.

Jillyanna paused for awhile, trying to dig up her memories but she couldn't recall anyone with that name. "I don't know who that person is."

"Do you find Hans a little bit familiar?"

"Nope. If I knew him, I don't think I would just ignore him. Why? Don't tell me, you asked someone to check on him?"

Travis sighed and sat on the bed space beside her. "I intend to keep this a secret but I remembered that we don't keep a secret anymore." It was clearly a white lie. He intended ot keep it a secret forever if he didn't find the silly reason for such betrayal.

Jillyanna just looked at him, waiting for the rest of his statement. "How many men pursued you before getting married?"

"Oh gosh RV, don't even ask me about that. I didn't count them."

"I know and I think you didn't give them a side glance since you didn't know most of them."

"Only Natsu stand out among them. After all, he always help me back then. As for the rest, I don't even know their names."

"As expected of my beautiful wife." Travis chuckled with a light tease coating his words.

"Why are you bringing this up?" Jillyanna looked at him with doubtful eyes, thinking that she messed up something again without noticing it.

Travis reached out his hands and lightly pinched her cheeks. "There wasn't anything wrong. I just thought it was funny that someone would take revenge against you because you rejected them. I never expected that he would even work for you. Isn't it a little creepy?"

"Someone's stalking me? I never noticed it."

"That's because you don't put your guard around everyone. It was a neglect of duty in my part as well. I should have checked everyone before letting them work for us."

Jillyanna was getting more confused and she wanted to shake him so much to let her know what he found as soon as possible. He kept her waiting on edge and she was starting to get nervous.

"I want you to take a look at Hans once again and make you remember something." Travis urged with mischief but Jillyanna didn't budge at all. She remained seated on the bed and she was starting to frown.

"Hanreich Percibal, Hans, is someone I rejected? Stalked me to work for me, monitored me and let the enemies know about me? He was colluding with Lyla to put me in danger?"

"My wife is a genius! That's right! You rejected him so he is out there making plans to take you down."

"That's insane!" Jillyanna exclaimed angrily. "Don't I have the right to refuse?! How is that my fault?!"

"So, will you let me take action or will you wait until he would take action?"

"Do whatever you want." she answered lazily and bored. She didn't care about anyone anymore. She was even starting to suspect that Travis got into accident because of him. Who else would leak their whereabouts aside from him. On the day of the accident, she clearly remembered that he was standing right in front of them without doing anything. If it weren't for Top, Travis could've died due to massive blood loss.

"I don't care anymore." she mumbled and stood up to check the food that her father-in-law brought for them.
