Chapter 409 - PET STORE I

Travis knew that this day would come and he was well-prepared for this battle. Unlike in the past, he was no longer the cold-blooded and ruthless man who would take someone's life easily.

He wasn't a saint and he took several lives in his twenty-seven years of existence. He wouldn't deny it. However, he learned to give someone a second chance because of Jillyanna. He didn't want to kill unreasonably but if someone would cross the line, he would take its life without any hesitation.

They ate their dinner together while he was keeping in mind their plans for the next day. He didn't want to dwell on this stressful matter as he already made plans for it.

"What time shall we leave tomorrow?" Jillyanna asked while drinking her fish soup.

"Let's leave after you get checked." Travis responded calmly.

"Okay. Do you want to watch a movie?"

"Not now. Let's take a rest for tomorrow. It would be a long day and you will need a lot of energy for that."

"I understand." With the promised surprise, Jillyanna was doing her best to get better everyday, to make sure that she'd give birth successfully and hoping that a heart donor would be ready at that time.

After eating their dinner, they took a shower and rest the night away with tender kisses and warm hugs.

Most shops opened at nine in the morning so Jillyanna didn't wake up early. She snuggled in the warmth that her husband gave. She hugged his waist and burrowed her face on his chest.

Travis had been awake for quite awhile already. He propped his chin on top of her head and smelled her hair. He was contented to this kind of scene, waking up beside her and feeling her soft and warm body lying next to him.

He was caressing her head and rubbing her back gently. Her steady breathing, the up and down movement of her chest showed her peaceful sleep.

The sun was rising steadily from the east. Nothing could stop the day from breaking and taking over the dark night.

Birds flew merrily and they sang with high notes joyfully. The flowers in the hospital garden danced to the wind breeze and it was a beautiful day to spend the day outside.

She stirred in her sleep and slowly opened her eyes. She blinked several times to adjust herself to the light, her lashes fanning her cheeks and her dark brown eyes were clear from any negative emotions.

"Good morning my Queen." Travis greeted her and kissed her forehead.

"Good morning my shameless wolf." she replied with a grin on her lips. She kissed his chin and rubbed his newly-grown stubbles. "Did you have a good sleep?"

"Yup. I slept peacefully beside you."

"Let's cuddle for a bit longer, shall we?" It was a request that Travis will never refuse at all.

"Half an hour."

They stayed in bed for another half an hour, talking about their plans, about their friends and other things that concerns her safety.

"When will you deal with him?" she inquired about his plans regarding Hans. It was really a surprise to her that he resorted to this shameful act just because she rejected her. Nonetheless, it won't change the fact that he was colluding with her enemies to bring misfortune to her.

"I will talk to him once we get back from the pet store. In the meantime, I won't let him come with us."

"I think it would be good if we ask Top to stay with him."

"I guess so. I'll ask it Brown or Hawk can come with us while we let Top stay here and monitor your ex-suitor."

"Hey!" Jillyanna throw a light punch on his chest. "You don't need to say the last part of your statement."

Travis chuckled for the successful teasing. He kissed her nose and eyes to make it up to her. "I was just teasing you a bit."

Their conversation circled to different subjects as they snuggled close to each other.

Time was up after half an hour and the both of them climbed down from the sofa bed. Sky and Alex had been waiting outside with their food.

When they arrived, they found that Jillyanna and Travis were still sleeping so they didn't come inside. They waited for them to wake up and stayed outside of the hospital room.

It wasn't after the both of them had finished taking their shower that Alex and Sky came in.

"Morning mom. Morning dad." Jillyanna greeted them while Travis dried her hair behind her.

"Morning."

"Morning."

Sky and Alex greeted one after another as they placed the food containers on the small dining table.

"Are you guys going somewhere?" Alex asked when he noticed that they were dressed up.

"Hn. We're taking a short trip in the city." Jillyanna responded. "Do you want to come with us?"

Sky refused with a light shake of her head. "You guys should spend your time together. We don't want to disturb you."

"I agree with your mom. You should enjoy some alone time and go on a date." Alex added.

They could imagine how boring and tiring their stay in the hospital was. It would be great if they can come out and spend their time together.

Jillyanna didn't insist about the invitation. She sat silently on the bed in front of her husband while he tied her hair into a high ponytail.

A simple act of love that warmed her and her parents who were watching them.

After making sure that she was all set, Travis dried his hair as well. Jillyanna put all the necessary things inside her bag such as: their phones, wallets, face towel and many other things.

Since they were busy, Sky and Alex arranged the dishes on the table for them. They thought it would be good if they can eat their breakfast while it was still hot.

"Come and eat once you are done drying your hair." Sky told Travis who was still holding the hair dryer.

"Yes mom." he acknowledged it immediately. He didn't fully dried his hair and stopped already. It wouldn't be good if he kept them waiting. Not only that, Jillyanna had to eat already and drink her vitamins.

Any more delay will make Dr. Alison get mad.

They started eating and sometimes Sky would ask him questions related to Jillyanna. She was really worried for her but knowing that she was doing better, she felt relieved.

Outside the room, Hans heard that they were going out. With an excuse of going to the comfort room, he called Lyla to make a report.

He didn't know that Top had been following him secretly
