Chapter 407 - A SURPRISE?

Jillyanna was eating her food with joy. She won the bet! Of course, she'd be happy after all she can finally get some pet. She isn't fond of dogs and cats so she crossed them out on her lists. At the same time, it would be a problem after giving birth.

Dogs loves barking and it would affect her baby's rest. Cats loves to purr so it would seek attention from the owner. She didn't want to have large pets thus; a decision was made. She was going to get a bird. She always like the sound of the birds when they mate or when they called to their friends. She liked their colors and they were the types of pets that were not costly. However, they needed delicate care.

"Let's get some birds. Small ones would be great." Jillyanna commented while eating her food. Travis nodded his head in agreement. Well, he wasn't planning to reject her idea. He was planning to indulge her in whatever she likes to do, given that she wasn't being reckless or overdoing anything.

"Tomorrow, we will take a look at the four shops that I chose. There were different kind of birds in there so we can check them."

"Tomorrow? Not this afternoon?" Her disappointment was evident and she pouted her lips in displeasure. "I got my hopes up I advance. You should've informed me. Well, that's fine." She immediately changed her mood and since she couldn't do anything about it. Aside from that, he still got some work to do, so she was trying her best to be understanding.

"I have prepared a special surprise for you and I know that you like it. However, you can only see it after your operation."

"You are really doing so much for me and I am here lying around, relaxing like there's no problem."

Travis took hold of her hand and kissed her inner wrist. "It is my job to provide for our family. Your task is to take care of yourself and our child. DON'T, don't ever think that you are not being helpful. Your presence and knowing that you are doing good is a big help. It puts my heart to rest and calm me."

"AHHHH!" she screamed in low voice and hugged him tight. "Lord gives me such a good husband. I will really do my best and survive for you." She kissed his jaw even though she smelled like food. "Don't mind the scent of food on you."

Travis hugged her back and his shoulders were shaking from his muffled laughter. "I don't mind as long as it is you." He kissed the top of her head and gently caressed her back. "I am sure you like my surprise so you have to really survive. Not just because of me but because of everyone who will be waiting for your full recovery."

"Hn!" she pushed him a little and showed him her brightest smile. "Fighting!"

They continued to eat their lunch with joy. People said that no matter how expensive and delicious the food was, you won't enjoy it if you are eating alone. At the same time, no matter how simple a meal was, if you are eating it with someone you love, you will think it was the most delicious food you've ever had. The joy wasn't just because of the food but because of the people who you ate with.

Travis didn't need to exert effort when it comes to occupying her time. Whatever he had in mind, he would let her know to keep her focus between them. Aside from that, he was getting information about Hans. He wanted to know why he was colluding with Lyla.

After taking their lunch, Jillyanna logged in to her social media account and found several photos of them, eating somewhere.

"It is really difficult to live a normal life when people kept monitoring you. Good thing that our house is guarded." Jillyanna stated as she looked at the pictures.

"That was the reason why I didn't like anyone to get pictures of me." Travis mentioned. "That was before though. Now, as long as I am with you, I don't mind being photographed."

"I feel the same." Jillyanna agreed. After all, she hid her face for six years as a singer.

They talked about several things while Travis worked. Sometimes, she would sketch him and sometimes she would take photos of him. She had so many photos taken and she kept all of them.

When the clock hits five in the afternoon, Jillyanna immediately stood up from the couch and put on her long coat. She wore a beanie and put on her shoes. "C'mon hubby, I only have an hour to loiter outside." She urged him and gave him his coat to wear.

Travis agreed for her to go out when she wanted to take a walk outside, but she can only do it for an hour which was from five in the afternoon to six in the evening. It was to make sure that it wasn't hot outside.

"Let me save my files, first."

She was leaning on the door, waiting for him to finish. It didn't take long for him to finish what he was doing and they immediately went out, asking Top to guard the room while they were outside.

They walked around the hospital garden and admired the streaks of red-orange clouds in the sky. The sun was setting and it was leaving a great view for them.

"You talked about the year-end party for the companies, you are allowing me to attend it?" she asked him as they walked, hand-in-hand while other looked at them with envious gazes.

"That depends on your condition. As long as you are doing fine, I will let you attend the party. At most, we'll just stay for two hours."

"Great! I will do my best to become better so I can attend it with you."

"How about your café? Aren't you having a year-end party?"

"Cielo already talked to them about it. I think it will be in the first week of December. Will you allow me to attend?"

"Hn. Same time condition – two hours."

"Two hours is fine with me."

They continued to walk along the path in the garden, paused for a rest and continued walking again. It was to lightly exercise her heart and her waist for successful birth delivery in the future.

"Boss, it is confirmed. The Madrigal couple is staying in the hospital." A man wearing a black coat and a black hat informed someone on the other line of his call. "The information we got was right."
