Chapter 93 - Championship (11)

The feeling of being fully immersed in his desire of defeating his opponent's archer and getting the intense excitement enveloped Brent's entire mood. His grin became bigger and bigger as he pressed the gunner skills continuously to pursue the archer! More background sound of gunshots followed to echo in the entire gym.

Brent was very determined to chase his opponent. They have exchanged their weapons now and he was certain that the archer was no threat to him! There was no way he would not chase his opponent!

'I will end you! How dare you throw these low damage arrows at me! You really have guts to provoke my character when you can't even take half of my HP!' he secretly thought while his gunner was moving to another position.

These two characters circled on the wall and rocks then they crossed on the grass. As for the movement speed, the two were using the same type of boots so they have equal speed.

Brent's teammates quickly saw that their founder was now enjoying the match. The man was smiling even though there was a small frown on his forehead. It only meant one thing. Their founder was savoring this battle!

"Let's finish this top lane!" Brent's sister murmured as she focused her attack on the tower of the Chronos squad.

While Brent was moving towards the archer, the top lane tower of the Chronos squad was also destroyed by William's tank and the other female players.

The notification of their achievement was quickly announced by the system. The group quickly moved forward.

"Nice, let's push the second tower?" the fighter user asked curiously. She wanted to take the opportunity to push since there was no enemy in the top lane yet.

Since the game had progressed for almost 8 minutes, it was all normal to get the second tower by now. However, their tank user shook his head and all of them stopped charging.

"NO! Let's join young master Brent to the bottom lane. Pushing the second tower is boring! Let's enjoy playing first! We can always push later when I get our enemies wiped out!" William quickly replied. Then he pressed the teleportation button on his mobile screen to teleport at the bottom lane. The three females silently followed him.

On the other side, the archer was retreating but did not stop throwing arrows at the gunner. His skills had almost become unlimited because of his attack speed. It was almost perfect however, one major flaw of character loses his effectiveness in their combat. His physical damage was not enough to contend with the gunner!

"AHH! This archer is really noob! Noob! Noob! Why did he prioritize the attack speed?" one of the FAB_Gamers squad snickered after seeing the useless attack of Stephen's marksman. He was so angry at the battle scene that he repeatedly yelled the word 'noob' to vent all his frustration.

"Why are you so affected?" WINS looked at the member for a second before his attention return to the screen. He could not help but be amused by the man's reaction.

"I am so affected Boss WINS! I want the Chronos to be the champion but this marksman is hopeless!!! How can they win if their long-range attacker does not contain sufficient physical damage?" the member almost pulled his hair and his face had turned red.

"This is their tactics. The marksman is not entirely hopeless," WINS told his member calmly.

"What kind of ridiculous tactic is that? Who made that trash tactic! Argh! It's not tight to follow trashy strategies!" the member continued with his rant.

"If I tell you that the Chronos squad created this strategy, do you still react like that?" WINS smirked and questioned the man.

"Are you sure? Boss WINS, we should have shared our strategy with the Chronos squad, no?" the man suggested.

Upon hearing this suggestion his other companion hit his shoulder hard with a fist.

"What are you saying?! Can't you see that with this strategy the Chronos squad is not placed in a very disadvantage position?!" his companion scolded.

"Huh? Ohh..." the member paused and then stared blankly at the screen. His line of sight focused on the stats of the players and realized that his companion was right! The Chronos squad had almost the same level as the Lee Gaming squad.

"Just now, I was just looking at the two marksman users fighting!" he quickly defended. Because he was unable to see the stats, he had almost had a meltdown in anger for Stephen's gameplay.

"In the normal eyes, this tactic is hard to analyze. This is because we cannot see the character crest of the participants. So, it's normal to assume that the marksman is using a crest that is recommended for his role. But in the expert's eyes, it's different," WINS started to explain.

The man who had really pulled hair earlier slowly combed back the mess that he made to himself. But still, confusion was all over his face.

"The marksman of the Chronos squad is using the EXP character crest. When he activated the crest, he had no choice but to trade an ability that would make his gameplay effective," WINS continued to explain.

To say, it may not look efficient on the eyes of the majority that the archer does not have sufficient physical damage, still, it was the most effective choice for him to give a maximum contribution to his squad. He had already contributed too much just by using the special crest. And it was more than enough for the squad.

"So, their physical damage? AHHH!!! I see, phew, now I understand!" the man sheepishly smile after he reflected everything on the player's stats as well as their item build in the inventory panel.

"It's good if you understand now!" his other companion raised an eyebrow to him and crossed his arms around his chest.

"Yes, I was just carried away with their battle. Now I know their tactic. Hehehe" the man looked apologetic and smiled. He realized that he really wronged the marksman user. He even called the man a noob!

"Their tactic is well crafted. It is specially made for their opponent. Because their opponents used character upgrades, they knew that they would be at a disadvantage. So, they found this way to counter the EXP problem," WINS supplied so that the man would understand well.

Clark was still clearing the creeps when he noticed that his companions had moved near the wall. Sofia's tank and Joey's support left him on the bottom lane. He suddenly felt at loss for no one in his teammates had signaled to gather or gank.

'We did not join the giant mutants by attacking the opponent's side. Now they are going to the river area... should I ask them?' Clark mentally asked after he could no longer see all his allies.

Clark was still relying upon signals from his teammates. He rarely checked the map or stats of his opponents too. In fact, he was not used to pressing many commands on his mobile screen. The man had yet to develop the skills that the pro players really had for the tournaments.

"Why are you guys moving? Should I come with you?" Clark directly asked them. At first, he felt awkward asking questions like this as he felt that it was an embarrassment that he had to ask such simple and basic kinds of stuff. But now, the question easily flew out of his mouth before he could think what he was asking his teammates.

"It's okay, Clark. Focus on your cool down reduction! Later, we need your attacks!" Joey casually speak.

"Clark, just stay in the bottom lane. After you clear the creeps, teleport to the middle lane and push. Avoid close combat and be careful in the jungle area," Sofia's solemn voice quickly followed as she gave the series of instructions to Clark.

Of course, since there was no signal for their team to gather, it was not time for Clark to fight.

''Okay, I will go to the middle lane now. Be careful ---- AHH!" Clark said while nodding his head repeatedly.  But soon, he almost jumped in his chair as William's tank appeared in front of him.

"Calm down and focus, Clark!" Sofia stated. She did not ask what had happened to him.  She had seen their opponents on the map surrounding Clark.

"I'll sprint towards you," Joey stated while also looking at the map.

This tank leaped on his area and spun its body continuously. Clark was hit by the initial leap and now, his character was directly stunned!

The moment his mage was overpowered by the tank, he successively pressed the button on his phone to request for back up. His cold sweat broke on his forehead and ran down to his cheeks. But he was more concern to his character's HP than his face.

"Guys, save me! I was caught by the tank!" Clark urged them.

"Just hang in there Clark. Don't panic. Try to escape if you have a chance," Sofia stated as all of them moved back towards his location.

"I don't think I can survive, guys! My HP is almost gone!" Clark stated.

He was really in deep trouble! Clark had not really pay attention to the map. So, he did not see that the Lee Gaming Squad characters were also going in his direction.
