Chapter 57 - The Chronos Squad Vs Vultramites Squad(2)

"Lots of players look down on mage role because the defense of these character is weak, but if the allies give them a good protection, their damage will be truly seen."

"Ahhh, mages are also overpowered characters when they gain early advantages. I can see the pattern of the Chronos squad strategy. See? Their opponent's tank has very little resistance to magical attack... I think they are capitalizing this advantage and let their mage build an item first! Let's see what will happen next!" the commentator finished his speculation and continued to watch the game. Some strategies of both squads were easily read by them and even the audience could also make their own considerations.

In the map, after Clark's character got the jungle monster, the Vultramites players did not bother to pursue and attack the thief opponents. One jungle cannot necessarily decide the result of the whole game.

In fact, these two Vultramites characters were quick to retreat as their HP had decreased from the NPC's damage. One more hook from Sofia and their characters would be finished!

Luckily for them, the cooldown of Sofia's hook was still longer as her character had not gained any item. Hence, the cooldown reduction was not yet triggered by her character.

A few more seconds, the two Vultramites characters successfully teleported and arrived on their base. Their HP and MP bars quickly charged back to full recovery.

At the same time, they took a chance to examine every lane on the map and see the arrangements of their opponents.

"I didn't see them on the grass... Damn! I should have known better." James shook his head and mumbled in annoyance. The feeling of having all his effort and time spent to lessen the HP of the NPC being wasted was no joke. It was irritating!

"Me too, damn! The tank user is really crafty! I thought those two would stay in mid to clear the creeps! Ahh, who would have thought that the tank would accompany that mage to harass us and steal our jungle?!" his teammate supported James as their characters sprinted towards the middle lane.

Both marksman user and tank user lamented but they had to move forward and seek a different way to level up their characters.

By then, Claire was almost done farming in their jungle territory also. She made a quick glance to the bottom lane and saw their marksman was having a one on one battle with the assassin opponent.

The two were both on a defensive mode while clearing the creeps. Although assassins and marksmen characters were usually on the aggressive role for dealing damage, in the early minutes of the game, they have to be careful and avoid getting deaths.

The first blood or the first death of the game would be more crucial than the jungle monster being stolen. Hence, the bottom lane players were very passive in clearing the creeps.

"Ehem," Claire subconsciously cleared her throat and pressed the map at the top lane to see which opponents were present there.

Her eyes were not almost blinking while she was fully immersed inside the game.

The map would easily provide her the location of her allies but some opponents were not displayed on it. After her quick glimpse of both lanes, she decided to move her character towards the top lane.

On the top lane, Joey was facing against the mage and fighter. He had remained alongside the tower area and casually kill the creeps once they reached near him.

"Coward," the female player of the Vultramites squad glared at Joey's character as if the opponent could hear her.

"Your ex is paying extra caution towards us, heh!" her companion on the top lane scowled seeing that the Chronos fighter would not even go out of the tower.

As an experienced gamer and was also familiar with all the available characters of the game, Joey knew that it would be dangerous to get out of the tower's range protection.

Game awareness was extremely necessary to all players.

His role may be a fighter and his character had no problem facing the opponents on close combat attacks, but the two opponents lining against him right now was a good counter combo for his character.

With the mage opponent, Joey knew that if he does not rely on the tower's defensive mechanism, the mage could easily immobilize his character, and a few passive attacks from its companion would be enough to drain his HP. He would be executed by the other fighter right away!

This was because he had no solid item build yet for his character. His damage and resistance were still at a low level and it would not be enough to go 1 vs 2 combat.

At least, not yet. But on the late game, it would be a different scenario.

"What a strange arrangement of their members! They are really giving priority with their mage," WINS also stated as he comfortably sat. A small can of cold coffee was in his hand and he was casually drinking while watching the game.

Even as early as just a minute of the game, he could already guess that Sofia's tank would stick to Clark's mage. Which he found it strange since most tank user would help the marksman to level up.

"It is really weird. Maybe it is because the mage is not so good?"

"Not really! That mage user may not have good hand speed... But, hmmmn, I think they will use him as the key role to win this match. Look at the inventory of the mage. These fragments of items are used to burst his magic damage."

WINS nodded after listening to his companions. He had already spotted the items of the players and also noticed the fragments for a burst of magic damage.

"It had to be that strategy. The skill of the Chronos mage is capable of summoning three elemental attacks: wind, fire, and water. With an item that gives burst magic damage..." WINS trailed with a visible smirk on his lips. He didn't need to speak the rest of his analysis. His companion can already picture out!

To say, if Clark's mage could build this item before the opponent's tank could buy an item for magic resistance, his character would be able to eat the opponent in just one combo!

Such a thing was never seen by most of the spectators but no one dare to criticize or look down on their arrangement.
