Chapter 234 - Sofia's First Prospect Of Future Subsidiary Company (2)

"The Chronos company will rely on your ability in software development. Once you complete this application, I hope you would also get the necessary registration and license to formally be the developer and launch the project," Sofia casually expressed. There were no changes in her expression, and she maintained a firm tone while talking to them.

However, the two men widened their eyes, and they looked at each other for a long time...

"Young boss, what did you say?!" Franco was the first to find his voice. He subconsciously grabbed Sofia's arms and shook it with disbelief in his eyes.

"Hey! Back off, what are you doing?!" Jing Jing smacked his hand and pushed him, but her force was too little that the man only smiled and stand properly.

"Sorry, I was just too shocked. I think there is a misunderstanding?" Franco hurriedly apologized. 

"What misunderstanding? Miss Sofia wants you to develop an app for the business. Is it hard for you to comprehend this simple task?" Jing Jing questioned. She pointed her index finger and poke the envelope that the man was holding several times.

"Ehem!" Seeing Jing Jing's aggressive gesture, Sofia cleared her throat and took their attention back to her before they starts to bicker. She just had no time to spare for watching her subordinates argue.

The two of them shifted their attention and looked apologetic as they faced Sofia once again. But they did not make any defensive comments from their actions either.

"We are here to discuss and sort things. Please, let's concentrate on this matter. I still have a class to attend later. The sooner we finish this meeting, the better it would be for me," Sofia stated with a pleading tone.

The two who were about to argue could only look up in the sky and stared at the white clouds covering the sun. 

They turned silent after Sofia's reminder. Perhaps, a little embarrassed that they were older than her, yet they had displayed a temper that was no better than a child.

"In my understanding, you asked us to develop an application for your business. This, we have no problem completing your request. Once the app is developed, then, we will give it to you alone since we signed the non-disclosure and exclusivity agreement," Riel suddenly spoke. He looked at Sofia in the eyes, as if he was trying to read what she was thinking at that time.

"I want you to develop an app and manage them for us. No, I hope that you could start not only a business in developing this app but also to start a company for software development. Make this app as your starting point," Sofia corrected.

"Manage? Start a company?! Hah! We can create the software but being an admin of the app is a lot to do," Riel stated and gazed at his companion with a conflicted look.

"Young boss, what we do right now, we can develop software, do certain programs and codes and sell them. We have no capability of launching and managing an entire app. It's complicated that what you are thinking," Franco supplied.

"Don't you want to start your software company?" Sofia inquired and looked at the two men with seriousness in her eyes. Jing Jing who was still looking at the sky suddenly turned her head and stared at Sofia with a surprised expression on her face.

Who would have thought? Sofia actually wanted the two men to have their companies! All along, they assumed that she was just requesting for the two to create an application for her business. It was indeed a great misunderstanding!

"Start a software company? Hahaha, we can only dream of that. But this is reality. It's not easy to start a company," Riel laughed at the idea. He just never imagined that he could own a company. All he aimed was to have a stable job to earn a good income in his lifetime. 

"We are not that ambitious, young boss. We thought that this is only an employer and employee arrangement. Not something as big as starting our company," Franco also shook his head and shrugged his shoulder.

"What do you lack for you to doubt yourselves? You have the degree and knowledge. I can see the confidence when you told me that you can create the application. With the right skill, you can form a company and succeed in the industry too!" Sofia challenged.

Upon hearing her words, the two men went into a long silence to ponder her ideas. Slowly, they made a self-evaluation of their initial reaction. It's not that they lacked skills. It's just that no one had really pushed them beyond their comfort zone. And Sofia had just done it, just by mentioning the idea to them.

Developing an app was easy for them. They have done selling codes and computer programs even before when they were still students. They will just face their screen and do coding all day. It was their comfort but to start a company was a different thing. They have to make proposals and engage in business talks with their clients. 

They were confident to create a code. But they were not confident to develop a company.

"We lacked everything!" Riel replied to Sofia.

"If you think you lacked everything, then why are you still here? Why are you standing and talking with me?" Sofia asked him.

"Maybe not everything... j--just almost everything," Riel stated softly.

"There will always be an area for improvement."

"There will always be an area for development. "

"..."

"There will always be an area for growth."

"..."

"Everyone has their own starting point."

"...."

"So what if you lacked almost everything?"

"..."

"You don't need to be an expert to start something big."

"..."

"But for someone to become an expert, they must have the courage to start at something that possessed right now... You must have the guts to start dreaming big to become big!" Sofia responded with long pauses in every sentence. She deliberately waited for them to speak however, in every sentence that she said, there was only silence from the two men.

"Don't waste your talent and education. There is nothing wrong with being employed by others. But, I think, the two of you are suitable to be an employer instead of an employee. If you have no confidence in starting a company, you can associate with the Chronos squad first.. Start a company and become our subsidiary," Sofia finished.
