"Can you stand up, dear?" Yan Meilin asked, and Jiang Yingyue chuckled. "It is not too bad," she said as she rose from the chair, "but I have no other shoes, so I am not sure what to do."

She was indeed in a slight pickle. She had no other shoes to change into, so her bare feet, which were so dainty and seemed as if they had been carved from jade, so white that they appeared as if they had been soaked in milk, were walking on the floor.

"Your feet are so small," Yan Meilin praised her. "They are too small to use my shoes. Old Li, go and purchase a pair of shoes for her. Preferably some comfortable sneakers considering she has just wounded herself. Wearing stilettos will not be good for her."

Housekeeper Li nodded his head and went to send a few people out to purchase shoes for her. He was not willing to go on his own, as he had to observe this woman's behavior and personality to determine if she was good enough for the family.

However, this time, he had ensured that the ones who were sent out to buy shoes were aware of the importance of these shoes and that it was in no way okay to screw up. This was a direct order from Madam Han, so if they failed, then he could not save them.

"Little Yingyue," Yan Meilin called out. "I like you a lot," she began, "but there is something I have to warn you about.

"Qingshan is currently the heir to the Han Corporation, where his father is the current CEO. He is presently the CEO of Imperial World, but there is one person behind the scenes you have not seen before.

"Liqiang's father, Qingshan's grandfather, is the current Chairman of the Han Corporation. When Qingshan takes over, then Liqiang will become the Chairman.

"The CEO is the number one, the most important person in a company, but the Chairman is the one who presides over the shareholder's meetings. The CEO is elected through these shareholder meetings, and obviously, the majority determines who sits on the position.

"The Han family has the majority of shares in the Han Corporation. However, these shares are split between the three men in the family, and Qingshan's grandfather has the majority of the shares.

"He is going to be making a share transfer agreement when Qingshan takes over, he is old after all, and needs to enjoy the remainder of his life.

"Although Han Weisheng is very old fashioned, if he starts to accept you, he will do anything in his life to protect you, so you have to gain his approval somehow. Both Liqiang and I will help you!"

Hearing the words that Yan Meilin told her, Jiang Yingyue was shocked. She had heard about the Han family head before, but she had forgotten all about him after encountering Han Qingshan because she had never met him.

"We have not told Han Weisheng about you," Yan Meilin said, "but since you are going to be Qingshan's female companion at the yearly charity auction, he will get wind of it, so you need to be prepared for when he summons you."

Jiang Yingyue nodded her head. She had never expected that the entire Han family would like her. Han Liqiang had a few brothers and a sister. They also had their own children, and these children were Han Qingshan's cousins.
