Chapter 804 Good News

Is Elizabeth calling? Mandy's first thought was that her college mentor, Elizabeth, had called her.

Out of excitement, she rushed to the balcony to answer the call. The sun shone through the light pink curtains in the ward, casting a warm glow on the people inside. When she gazed at the scenery, she could make out the logo of JR Hospital, dazzling in the sun.

"Hello, Professor Elizabeth?" Mandy asked cautiously with the phone in her hand.

"It's me, Mandy," Elizabeth replied in the gentle tone, smiling.

"I finally found you, Professor. I tried calling you some time ago, but your phone was off," Mandy explained with a sigh of relief. She clenched the phone in her hand.

"Last month, I had gotten into a small accident with my husband in Australia while we were parachuting. We were both injured and stayed in the hospital for a month. We were only discharged now," Elizabeth replied in a casual tone.

No one would never think that she had almost lost her life then. She and Shawn were very reckless at times. They might be old now, but they still wanted to challenge themselves. Even their children knew nothing about their injuries.

That was the reason Mandy couldn't get in touch with Elizabeth for some time.

"What did you say? Parachuting? Are you sure you're recovered?" Mandy furrowed her brows and hugged her purple sweater closer to her. Though it was sunny, Mandy was feeling cold these days.

"I'm alright. What's going on?" Elizabeth asked with a smile.

"I'm sorry for bothering you like this, Professor, but I have no other choice. My son's been injected with bacteria. It looks serious. The bacteria have already spread across his body, and the doctors can't seem to identify it. There's no medicine to treat it either." Mandy turned to look inside the ward following the direction of the sunshine. She saw Adrian eating an apple. The expression on his face was not as li

Nacy had a miscarriage and had been taking herbal medicine to help her body recuperate. A month had passed since then. At dawn, Simon rushed to work. The company had been keeping him quite busy these days, and he had a few meetings he needed to attend.

Early in the morning, Caroline rang the doorbell of the Ye Family home. Nacy was still asleep when a servant came to open the door.

"Mrs. Ye," the servant greeted Caroline with a big smile as soon as she saw her.

Caroline was wearing a white sweater with a woolen dress that made her look elegant. "Where's Nacy?" Caroline asked with a polite smile.

"She is still asleep," the servant replied with a smile.

"What time is it? Why is she still sleeping?" Caroline murmured unhappily to herself.

Caroline was even older than Daisy. At the age of twenty-six, she had gotten married to Johnson. Daisy was already a grandmother, while Nacy still bore no child. Caroline didn't dare complain, even if she was frustrated by it.

Nacy had a miscarriage not long ago. Caroline wondered if she had recovered from that. She hoped that Nacy would get pregnant as soon as possible so she could have a grandson or granddaughter.
