"I guess all soldiers of the army wear T-shirts, don't they?"

"Yes, but I like to wear long sleeves."

"I'm afraid that you'll get malaria," Nacy said as she turned around.

However, Serge did not even turn to look at her. With a straight face, he flatly replied, "I have a strong immune system. I believe I won't get that."

Nacy was rather speechless and simply turned to look ahead.

At the gate of the kindergarten, numerous parents waited for their children. School would be dismissed at 3:45 PM, and Nacy had just arrived in time.

Nacy swiped her card key and walked into the kindergarten. Inside, she saw parents who quietly waited by the classroom door.

The teacher was still giving a lecture to her pupils. Nacy couldn't hear a thing through the closed doors, but she could see through the window how those adorable kids attentively listened to their teacher.

Adrian belonged to that class. Nacy had started to unconsciously touch her belly as she watched the class. She began to ponder on her baby's future. Moreover, she wondered about whom the baby would take after. Would it bear more resemblance to Simon or herself?

Hearing what Nathan had said, Mandy sat down on his lap and put her arms around his neck. In an endearing tone, she said, "What are you saying? I wanted to go home so bad, but the kid was too clingy. I tried so hard to get her to sleep. We went to the seaside today. Although the trip was short, it is still so exhausting. The seaside..."

"Enough, Mandy. Who am I to you? You don't have to tell me those things. I can't talk to you right now!" Nathan's face turned livid. He frowned and clenched his fists but still managed to suppress his anger and did not push Mandy away.

"I… Nathan, that's not what I mean. I haven't seen Lisa for a long time. Even if Colin and I are divorced, she is still my daughter, and I can't abandon her."

"Do you know how long Adrian has been waiting for you? How long I have waited for you! You can do whatever you want, Mandy."
